This was a great episode. The part where Ray played the CD really loud and scared his parents as they came home was hilarious. The attitude of the Barone's about any elctronic gadgets reminds me of some older people I know, who need help running a VCR.

I agree and Robert falling down in the mess was hilarious too:lol:

I really loved this episode. I thought it was one of the best so far this season. It was SO hilarious when Frank and Marie walked in and the music blasted.

Unfortunately, I missed this one, so could somebody please fill me in on what happened with the CDs?

I heard something about Raymond's dad not liking some CDs, and that he had a large record collection. I'd love to find out what this is about....

It sounds like how I sort of resent DVDs for making my large VHS video collection (which took me YEARS to accumulate) obsolete!

Frank had a 'great collection of Jazz records' that Raymond put to close to the furnace when he was a kid and he ruined them. So to get his dad to shut up about this loss Raymond bought him the same Jazz songs, but on CD's. The Barone's are anti-technology and have the CD player that Ray bought him in the basement with other electronic items (microwave, popcorn popper ...) that are unopened in the box. Frank called it Mount Crapmore
Anyway Raymond tries to open the CD and has trouble getting it out of the wrapper and the parents are like forget it this is too hard, we are not interested in your fancy schmancy CD's. Raymond then hides out in their house to surprise them with the music so they can hear how good they sound. They walk in and he plays the music, but it is up really loud and scares the crap out of them and they drop all the groceries and packages. Robert later slips on them which include eggs and eggnog. In the end Frank listens to some old records that Robert found them and they sound really bad with pops and bad record sounds but he loves them cause they sound like the old records. The End. My wrist now hurts ;)

Thanks, Sinatrastar...I really appreciate the story description....

Yup, Frank sounds just like me with my VHS tapes (most of them are older, super-rare titles that probably will never be released on DVD!).

It was a funny show. This season has been excellent so far.

I thought that Peter was going to take over Robert's apartment? I was looking forward to seeing more of Chris Elliot.

I saw more than enough of him in that shirtless Thanksgiving episode

The series probably wants to use Chris sparingly....For some reason Chris Elliott really creeps some people out!

I saw enough of him in that awful episode when he moved in with Robert and Amy. When they keep him in the background, though, he's not too bad.
