I have 2 ideas that I think would help these Message Boards.

First of all is a board exclusively for TV on DVD.

And second is that you should be forced to use "normal" English.
Meaning no "watz" or "yr" or "ima".... especially when your entire post is filled with "IM talk".

TV on DVD news is usually posted on the General board or on the individual message boards, not sure a whole new board is necessary for that.

As far as the second thing, I really don't know what can be done about that. Ban members who don't use "normal" English? That would be a bit outrageous. Kids are already forced to talk a certain way at school, I don't think they want to be forced to talk a certain way on message boards or the internet. If you don't like reading their messages, then simply add them to your ignore list and that will be the end of that.

thats stupid. yeah its really annoying when people talk like teenyboppers, like "newayz 2dae i went 2 da mall wit ma frenz n it wuz rilly fun!!!!111" but is it obscene or offensive? no.

yes, it pretty annoying....but oh well.

I agree with you about the second thing. Most of the time, I have no idea what those people are even talking about! I wish there was a way to make that one work. :D

Did you ever have a Spell Check on the boards before? I thought I'd seen that next to the Post Reply Button at one time. Maybe I was seeing things :crazy:. Would it be possible to add that, if that option was available?

yeah but the only way it could work is if tj put in something that doesnt let you submit the replies unless all the words are spelled right... theres always gonna be words used that arent "proper" english like if someone has a weird last name or if youre quoting someone or if youre talking about some typo you made. thats how it is when you submit reviews for IMDb and alot of people hate it. so if that, my friends, were the case, this board would ROYALLY suck.
