The Question is the Stronger Friendship not the best;).

And i'm sorry but Coach and Sam were as close as a father and son but were friends....Their relationship was a lot stronger than Norm and Cliff's. Sam and Coach knew each other for a lot more time than Norm and CLiff did.

TODAY.... Norm and Cliff would have known eachother longer than Sam & Coach.
Maybe Sam and Coach had a STRONGER relationship (father/son)
But IMO.... Norm & Cliff had the stronger FRIENDSHIP.

A friendship is a relationship Mr. Peterson, lol Ok ok I still say that Coach and Sam had a stronger friendship, however Cliff and Norm's was pretty strong .

Norm and Cliff, no question. But I think towards the end of the series Norm started to branch off from Cliff. Just an observation.:D

haha.... I noticed that too.
Frasier didnt give Norm & Cliff that hotel room in the episode with "young Sam" and they never were quite the same since....

I think Sam and Carla had a very strong relationship

Everbody's friendship/relationship in that bar is strong!

I'd have to say Sam and Coach. It just seemed like they had a lot of history, and they really seemed to understand each other. Norm and Cliff were just pals...not really a strong relationship. (Still entertaining, though. :D )
