Well, I'm thinking about doing a CD/Nate thing, coz tha'd be sweet, and cute, and it'd make me feel better, so, yeah, ummmm, I'll start tomorrow, coz it's most likely we have a snowday...man, and I really wanted to be bored by the teachers,...so, even if not, the teachers are old, and don't pay attention! Like I said, I'm starting today. It'll probably be only a little bit, but that's all I've got for now. I'm workin, I'm workin. Okay, this is gonna be really bad, but whatever!

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

It was about three weeks after CD got shot, when she was packing up her things. Liz didn't die, and escaped from the hospital, so CD was leaving to go into the witness protection program. She wasn't happy, but the gang encouraged her to go.

While all of this was going on, Raina was adjusting to her new partner, Stacy Newland. She was a bit of a show-off, and came from a rich family that was pretty much perfect, so Raina really didn't like her all that much.

Kate had decided to take an hour out of everyday to research Liz's things, but they hadn't gotten very far yet. All that they've really resarched was the fact that Liz had escaped in a little black Jetta with the licence plate '867-HDGSR'.

Nate had pretty much let himself go, because of CD, and on top of all this, he was having more panic attacks because of the increase of stress. He came by to see his girl everyday, and was upset when she had chosen to go into the program, but decided that it was for the best right now.

Jinny had decided to get over Jack very quickly when she found a very attractive scetch artist, and got together with him. Jinny was still going to her meetings, and was doing very well for right now. She thought that it was best to keep her problems seperate from her love life, so she didn't tell the new guy.

Magda decided getting rid of Jonah was the best thing for right now, but inside, she still wanted to have him. Turns out she went out with him one last time after supposedly 'ending' it, and she found herself back in the boat, until she found out that Lily was sleeping with Jonah now too.

Stacy was a show-off, and also became calloused to the name 'Little Miss Perfect'. Raina often said it under her breath, or when she was gossiping to one of the women. She also didn't wanna carry a gun at first, but when she got the idea that Raina didn't think that she was fit for the job, she immediatly wanted to carry it around.

After CD had packed the last suitcase for her 'trip', there was a knock at the door.

"Come in." She said quickly putting it with the others.

"Hey." Nate said, entering her hospital room, number 175. CD's back was turned, and she was looking out the window when he wrapped his hand around her, like a Venus-fly-trap catching it's prey. "So, are you ready to go?"

"Yeah, I suppose." CD answered, quickly wipping a single tear from the corner of her eye.

Nate noticed, and quickly pulled her into a hug. "Hey, come here." He stroked her hair, and she sobbed into his chest. He placed his lips on her blonde hair, and kissed her head softly.

She pulled back, and looked at him for a moment. "We're gonna be alright, when I get back, right?"

"Yeah." He assured her. "We'll be more perfect. I mean, getting through this could be one of our biggest obsticles."

"I know. I just don't want you near that new inspector." CD said playing with his promise ring on his middle finger of his left hand.

"You know I was actually thinking about leaving you for her." Nate teased.

"Stop it." CD said slapping the hand playfully that she was holding.

"Jealous?" Nate smirked. He knew by the way she reacted, that she was.

"No." CD lied. "Okay, maybe a little. It's just the sound of her voice when she talks to you, and the way she looks at you,....I dunno. She just acts like trouble."

"I promise, nothing will happen." Nate hugged her again.

"Nate..?" CD started.

"What, sweetie?" Nate asked.

"Kiss me." CD said leaning into him. Once their lips met, their tongues started roaming, and there were little moans coming from each mouth. They both pulled back for air at the same time, and afterward, she just cuddled in his arms.

The sky had failed to cooperate that day, and once it started to rain heavier, she pulled away from Nate, and closed the shades on the glass window, while he took the black suitcases, and set them down on the little couch, that were just 12 inches away from the foot of the bed.

The room's walls were a nasty mix of yellow and white, with pale pick flowers in a row. The bed was barely big enough for CD and Nate to lay together, with the the sheets of white surronding the matress. There wasn't a television, but instead a radio above the bed. The curtains were a colour of dark aqua, and the window had a broken screen on the inside. The handle was broken, so they couldn't open it up. The counter tops were all made of the mixed marble colours purple and blue, and the cabinets above were wooden, just like the ones under the counter tops. There was a door to the right of the counter that lead to a bathroom, and a sink on the left. The faucet was rusting, just like the valley leading to the drain, below. The curtains next to the sink, and before the door leading out into the hospital, was a nice shade of peach. The floor was a cold, dirty while coloured tile.

There were now black suitcases on the couch, and Nate was waiting for CD on the small bed. She climbed up on top of him, and just layed there while he played with her hair.

About a half an hour later there was a knock on the door.

Since both CD and Nate were sleeping, they didn't hear anything. After a few moments, the visitor came in. The nurse went over, and woke CD and Nate up, and started talking to them.

"Ms. DeLorenzo, you have visitors, and they say it's important." She explained to them.

CD wiped her eyes, as did Nate, and she replied "Okay, you can send them in." After she said that, Nate immediatly got up.

After doing so, the nurse walked out of the over heated hospital room, and sent Kate, Raina, Magda, and Jinny inside. By the time they got there, CD was still in bed, and Nate was sitting on the couch.

"Hey, CD." Raina came over and hugged her. "How are you feeling?"

CD hugged back. "I'm okay, I suppose." She pulled back and looked over at Kate. "Cap, don't you think that it would be a good idea if I stayed?"

"No, because Liz is still out there, and we don't need you getting hurt again." Kate said.

"I know." CD sighed. "But I really don't wanna go. I mean, I'm a cop, and I have friends who are cops, and they'd back me up."

"CD, she has weapons. And we're not just talking one or two. We're talking like a whole gun store full. You can come back as soon as we catch Liz, and I do not wanna see you back at the division until then." Kate told her.

"Yeah, I understand, but -" CD stopped. She knew she was gonna loose. "Alright, I know I'm not gonna win this, so let's not get into this any further."

"Good idea." Magda said.

"Are they waiting for me?" CD asked.

"Yeah, so we better get going." Jinny answered, not even looking at Kate to see if that was the sitch.

Once everyone, with the exception of Nate, exchanged hugs with CD, they all went outside to their cars.

"CD and I will follow you guys, okay." Nate said.

"Yeah." Kate answered before dissappearing into the red convertable that Luis had just gotten her. Raina rode with her, so she got in too.

CD and Nate also got into their car.

Jinny and Mag got into their car, and followed Cap and Raina.

Once they pulled out, CD and Nate were on their way.

CD and Nate were still trying to keep their relationship a secret, so Nate slowed down the car, before getting to the hidden driveway, so that he could say goodbye to CD. First he kissed her. Then he began.

"CD, I'm really gonna miss you." Nate started. "And we've really gotta keep in touch, so when do you want me to call you?"

"Nate, I'm gonna miss you too. And we'll call each other twice a day, once at 7 in the morning, and the other time, 7 at night." CD suggested. "And I'll call you when I get there."

"Yeah, that'll work." Nate smiled. He kissed her once more before going into the driveway.

After they parked the car, CD and Nate got out, and the rest of the inspectors helped her get her things out of the blue nissan, and into her ride, which was a black tahoe.

Raina grabbed her mid-sized bag, which contained CD's make-up, hair and tooth brush, wash clothes, towels, and ect.

Kate grabbed CD's bag which had her pictures, journal, pens, pencils, extra paper, and stamps, so that she could send letters to Nate.

Magda grabbed her pillows and sheets, while Jinny grabbed the comforter, so that she could actually have a decent looking bed.

Nate grabbed her lamp, and her bag of shoes, while CD grabbed her clothes, and little did everyone know, her notes on Liz's escape, because she wanted to help too.

Once everything was into the back of the tahoe, everone told CD goodbye. Nate planted, what they called a 'friendly', kiss on her head afterward. CD hoped the kiss would last forever, but it was quickly over. Once CD had climbed in, she rolled down her window to say goodbye once more.

After the vehicle had pulled out of the driveway, on it's route to one cop's safety, CD began to cry to herself. She couldn't be away from Nate for this long. She knew she had to do something about it, she just didn't know what yet.

When they arrived, CD checked herself in. The forms were about 13 pages long, and they weren't exactly what you'd call 'easy' questions. They practically contained questions about every move she made from the second she was born, to the second that she was signing the freaking thing.

Finally, she was done with that, and she had to wait. Once about a half an hour had passed, they finally got someone to take her to her room, or as CD called it, a prison cell.

The room that was assigned to her, was very white. The walls, the dresser, the floor's tiles, the doors, and all of the bathroom that was attached was all white. She decided that it was all gonna change.

Along with the white bedroom and bathroom, it had a small closet, and a mirror. The closet only contained 7 white hangers.

CD thanked the nurse, who just murmered something under her breath, and walked away. CD moved all of her bags up onto her bed, and then started unpacking. While doing so, she found a picture of Nate, and placed it gently placed it on her night stand.

Abou tfour hours later, the room wasn't very white anymore. She was thankful for that. Once every single thing was in place, CD realized that she forgot to call Nate.

Nate and the gang were all back at the Division, when a black woman came inside. Stacy, Raina, and Nate just looked at each other, while Jinny and Magda smiled. They quickly got up, and went over to her. They chatted, while the other three just watched.

"So, what have you been doing lately?" Mag asked.

"Well, my husband got the postition in Ohio, and then for our 10th anniversery, he told me that he'd move back here." She explained.

"Are you looking for a job?" Jinny asked.

"Yeah, where's CD?" She asked.

"It's a long story." Magda sighed and said.

"Okay, maybe later." The woman said.

"Much." Jinny added.

"Does Kate still work here?" The woman asked.

"Yeah, I'll go tell her you're here." Magda said getting up. She was kinda happy to see her again. "Kate, there's someone here to see you."

Kate called the woman into her office, just like she would to anyone of her inspectors. "Close the door, and have a seat."

"Umm, I wanted to talk to you. Right now, I kinda need a job, and I was wondering if I could get one here?" The woman explained.

"Angela, you already quit once. Are you sure you really want this job?" Kate asked as politly as she could possibly make it.

"Yeah, I'm sure." Angela answered. She was so happy to finally get her job back, even if CD wasn't there, and she didn't know half of the people that were out there. She really didn't care right now, though.

"Okay, you can start tomorrow." Kate said without any hesitation.

"Perfect." Angela smiled. "Do I still work with CD, or what do you want me to do?"

"Actually, CD won't be here for a while, but you can work with her partner for the moment." Kate said. She wasn't sure she wanted Angela to come back to work, but she needed to get CD back as soon as possible, and that case could use all of the hands it could get.

"Where is she, and what's her name?" Angela asked a little overjoyed.

"Actually, it's a him, and his name is Nate, and he's working at you rold desk right now. Although, he is kinda upset about CD, so I'm sure he won't mind working at her desk." Kate explined as much as she could about Nate without getting to far into details.

"Okay, no one will tell me what's going on with CD! Is she dead, did she quit, what?" Angela asked frantically.

"No, CD's fine, and she'll be back to work after we find the US Marshal, Elizabeth Rowe." Kate said hoping that it would calm Angela down a little bit.

"What happened?" Angela asked, seeming a bit more calm, although, she knew that the news wasn't gonna be good.

"Okay, here we go." Kate took a deep breath, and continued. "About three weeks ago, they were all working on a case with three murderers, which one killed Jinny's brother."

Angela gasped. "Oh God. Did she catch him?"

"Better yet, she shot and killed him." Kate noticed Angela smile at that. "But, anyways, back to the story. Afterwards, Jeana, one of the criminals, also got shot. CD went by the hospital to see how she was, and they told her that she died. CD went to Liz's house, to talk to her. Needless to say, Liz killed two of the murderers, and before that, shot her partner. CD and her got into a gunfight, and both ended up in the hospital. Two weeks later, Liz escaped."

"Are you guys still looking for her?" Angela asked, still in a little bit of shock from her Captain's story.

"Uh, yeah. At the end of the day, we all get together, and gather more information." Kate told her.

"Okay, I think I should go meet my temporary partner." Angela stood up.

"Alright, welcome back." Kate smiled, as did Nate, before walking out.

Angela went over to Nate, and sat down at CD's desk. Nate looked up from his paper work, and gave him an off look.

"Hi, you must be Nate. I'm Angela Reid, and I'll be your temporary partner until CD gets back." Angela smiled, and held out her hand.

Nate looked up again, and shook her hand. He was quite annoyed, but didn't show it. "Yeah, I'm Nate."

Yeah, sorry I didn't post in the last 2 days! lol, I had mid-terms, and then last night I had a dinner thing! But, u peoples don't wanna hear about that,..so on with the story!

After Nate and Angela met each other, Kate assigned everyone a case to see if they'd work well together. They were assigned a murder that involved a wife-beater, but the twist was that he was the one that had been murdered. Jinny and Magda were assigned to the murder of a high school student, who was supposedly the school slut. Raina and Stacy got assigned to a case involving two elderly men who were wasted, and one missing female bartender. Raina, however, wouldn't work with Stacy.

"Cap, there's no way I'm looking for a bartender with little miss perfectionist hanging around. I mean, so you really expect me to work with her?" Raina explained. She'd tried to be nice, but Stacy didn't feel the need to treat Raina the same way.

"Raina, maybe after a little bonding time with her, you'll realize she's not really that bad." Kate said. She wanted to get this over with as quickly as possible. She was already feeling a headache coming on.

"Cap, if you don't make me work with the bitch, I promise NEVER to gossip ever again!" Raina said seiously.

Kate chuckled. "Raina, you know that I'd love for that to happen, but Stacy didn't do anything wrong, so I can't make her just stay here."

They both sat there for a few moments in silence. Then Raina just looked down in defeat. "Fine. But this will be the last time that I'm ever working with her."

Kate just shook her head, and Raina walked out. "What am I going to do with that girl?"

"Let's go." Raina said to Stacy as she picked up her coat.

"Yeah, lets get this over with. I've got my eye on someone special." Stacy smiled, and she too picked up her coat, and was now following Raina.

"The quicker, the better." Raina agreed with Stacy for the first time!

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"So who exactly did she sleep with?" Jinny asked Mia, the best friend of the girl who got murdered.

"Well, Christy had a lot of 'one night stands' that weren't from this school, but I'd say at least 75% of them were." Mia did her best to try and explain through her sobbing.

"Do you know of anyone who would wanna hurt Christy? Maybe for revenge of something she did, or someone she turned down?" Magda asked, trying not to make her any more upset.

"Umm, no. She wasn't one of the ones who would turn someone down. She went out with anyone who wanted something from her, as long as they paid them." Mia said, wiping her eyes.

"Thank you, Mia. I'm gonna give you my card, so you can call me whenever if you know something else." Magda handed her the little buisness card.

"Thanks." Mia said taking the card.

After Jinny and Mag had walked far enough away from Mia so that she couldn't hear then anymore, they began to question each other.

"So, who do you think it is?" Jinny asked. "A family member, a student, a teacher, what?"

"Probably someone that she wouldn't have sex with because they didn't have enough money or something of the sort." Mag answered. "You?"

"Umm, probably a teacher or a family member. Trust me, I'm speaking from experience here." Jinny told her, remembering what she used to do. Thank God those days were over.

"Yeah, don't remind me. Did you hear anything from CD yet?" Magda quickly changed the subject. "I mean, I know it's only been like a day, but I wanna know how she is."

"Me too." Jinny added.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Nate and Angela went down to the car, and once they got in, they chatted about CD, while he drove.

"So, you and CD were partners as well?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, we were partners when she and Paul were together, and when Magda got engaged to Gabe, and when Jinny was in rehab." Angela stated.

"Yeah, I was here just in time for Mag to get married, CD to get divorced, and for Jinny to come back from rehab." Nate said.

"Fun." Angela said sarcastically.

"Oh, a ball." Nate answered in the same tone of voice.

"Did CD finally divorce the bastard?" Angela asked as politly as she could.

"Yeah. She's going out with someone else now. I forgot his name." Nate lied.

"Really? You two aren't going out? You seem like her type." Angela said.

"Alright, I'm gonna tell you something that you can't tell anyone, okay?" Nate told her. He knew that CD probably wouldn't mind, seeing as how Angela was her best friend and all.

"Okay." Angela said, a little confused.

"Well, CD and I are going out. Even though we are breaking every single rule in the book." Nate said.

"I knew by the way you were asking about her that you two were together." Angela smiled.

"This is why you're not going to tell, right?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, on one condition." Angela said.

"What?" Nate asked, and then started thinking to himself. 'I hope that she doesn't make me her sex slave...'

"Don't screw things up. She's been through a lot, and needs someone good like you." Angela said.

"I won't." Nate promised.

Alright, here we go again! I wasn't on last nite, and blah, blah, blah. But I've got sum more......

After that long day was finally over, all seven of the inspectors went over to the Anchorside. Eventually CD came up, and Nate explained to them that she had called him earlier today. Their convo went something like this....

"Basso." Nate answered his phone.

"Hey you." CD said on the other line.

"Hey sweetie...how are you?" Nate asked as soon as he realized that it was CD. He was so happy she called.

"I'm okay. I really think you should try to talk Cap into letting me come home. This place is hell." CD said, not sounding too happy about the sitch.

"Yeah, I'm working on it. But I do have news." Nate said slyly.

"What?" CD asked a little excited.

"Do you really wanna know?" Nate asked, smiling to himself.

"Yes!" CD answered.

"Are you sure?" Nate teased again.

"Nathan! Tell me what's going on, right this instant!" CD exclaimed into the phone. Gawd he could be annoying sometimes.

"Okay, okay, well, I know how you've been talking about how Angela does this, and Angela does that, and well, now I know that she does." Nate clued her in, sorta.

"What are you talking about?" CD asked, kinda confused.

"Well, I have a temporary partner, and her name's Angela Reid." Nate told her, in a matter-of-fact sorta way.

"When did she come back?" CD smiled.

"Umm, like an hour after we got back from dropping you off, she showed up in the bullpit. She wouldn't stop asking and talking about you. But, then we went on a case, and by the way, she knows." Nate explained.

"She does?" CD asked, kinda worried, coz Angela might tell Raina, because she doesn't exactly know that she's a gossip queen.

"Yeah. Why? Is that a problem?" Nate asked.

"No, you just oughta warn her that Raina's a gossip queen. She already knows about Magda." CD said.

"Okay, good." Suddenly Nate's pager went off. "Sorry CD, I've gotta go. I love you, and I'll call you at seven, okay?"

"Okay, love you, and talk to ya later." CD hung up.

*AT THE ANCHORSIDE*

Nate only ordered a coke, since he knew he had to get home to call CD, while everyone except for Stacy ordered some sorta alcohal. Although, little did Nate know, someone slipped something into his drink that made him dizzy, and comfortably numb.

Once about an hour passed, everyone except for Stacy, was wasted. They all needed a ride home, so Stacy gave them one. Kate was off first, followed by Stacy's partner, Raina, and then Magda got off with Jinny, and then Angela got off at her new house which was only a little ways away from Magda's. Once the car pulled up to Nate's house, however, the story went a little differently. Stacy got out of the car, and walked inside with Nate.

"Nate, can I stay here tonight? I'm really tired." Stacy used her most sexy voice, which might I add was really pathetic.

"Sure." Nate laughed. He knew he was forgetting something, but since he was wasted, he couldn't remember what.

"Okay, where do you want me to go, since it's supposed to be cold tonight?" Stacy asked, still using her pathetic voice.

"Umm, you can sleep with me, babe." He placed his hand on her ass.

"That's exactly where I wanna be." She said seductivly.

"Alright. Let's go." Nate said. What was he forgetting? Well, since he knew he was gonna get laid, it really didn't matter.

*MEANWHILE*

CD was still sitting by the phone.

'Where the hell is he?' She thought. 'He couldn't still be at work. Maybe I should call him.' She picked up the phone, and dialed his house.

Little did she know, Nate was having sex with Stacy, and unplugged his phone when it started ringing.

'Okay,' She looked at the phone confused, and then hung it up. 'That was not right. Maybe I should call his cell.' She picked up the phone for a second time, but after a few seconds, she realized that it wasn't on. She hung it up again. 'I guess I'll just have to wait til tomorrow morning...'

The next morning, Nate woke up with a headache. He sat up in bed and looked over at the other side. He saw Stacy's blonde hair, and was a little confused.

'CD isn't home yet. Is she?' He thought to himself. He shook Stacy and whispered to her "CD, CD, you havta get up. I don't know what you're doing, but-" Suddenly she got up and looked at him.

"CD? My name's Stacy. Remember? We had fun last night, huh, baby?" Stacy grinned an evil smile, although she was not sure why he had called her CD.

"What? Why? How? I'm not even together with you! What the hell are you doing in my room?!" Nate asked getting out of his bed, and quickly putting on his boxers.

"Babe, all you wanted was to get in bed with me last night, and now you're asking me why? Do you think I'm a slut or something?!"Stacy asked, trying to be innocent.

"Yes!" Nate opened his bedroom door. "And I want you to leave, right now."

"Nate, do you really want me to leave, or are you just trying to get me out because you're afraid of falling in love with me?" Stacy asked him, but when she saw Nate's reaction, she knew there was no hope of them together. For today, at least.

"No, I just want you to leave." Nate told her quietly.

"Alright, when we get to work, I'll leave you alone, coz I'm the only one with a car. You were drunk, and left yours at work." Stacy explained. How could a rich girl not end up with a man like this. Sometimes, she really wish she was normal. Then she started to think. 'Well, I guess I'll just have to ask daddy dearest for another favor...'

*MEANWHILE*

CD was asleep and didn't wake up in time to get ahold of Nate before he left for work. She had tried his cell phone, but it was busy, of course.

About a half an hour later, she decided to call the Division, to see if he was there yet.

"Reid." Angela quickly answered.

"Hey Angela." CD smiled. God, it had been a long time since she talked to her.

"Hey CD! How's everything going?" Angela asked eagarly. She was excited to talk to her best friend again.

"Everything would be fine if I could get ahold of Nate. Is he there by any chance?" She asked, praying it would be a simple yes.

"Nope, not yet. He should be in any minute though." Angela told her.

"Okay. How's everything with you?" CD quickly changed the subject. "What have you been up to?"

"I'm good. I have a baby now." Angela said, very proud of herself.

"Oh my God! Is it a boy or a girl?" CD said excitedly.

"It's a girl, Chanel Jillian. She's seven months old, and she can say a few things. I was actually 4 months pregnant when I quit." Angela explained. She was so glad that she actually had a family to go home to every night, un-like some of the other inspectors that worked here.

"When I come back, there better be pictures." CD smiled. She was happy for her. But, also, a little jealous. She wanted a family so badly, and hoped that she could have a family with Nate soon. Yeah, her tubes were tied, but she could go through surgery, and possibly have them un-tied.

"Oh, don't worry, I have plenty." They both, laughed, and then Nate and Stacy walked in, still fighting about what happened last night. "CD, Nate's here. I'm gonna put you on hold, okay."

"Sure." CD said, as Angela pushed a button. She meant to push 'hold' but instead pushed 'speaker'.

"Nate, you were the one who was all over me, not the other way around." Stacy said, as CD gasped.

"No, you wouldn't leave me the hell alone this morning." Nate said as he gave her a look.

"Alright, I'll agree that it was partcially my fault, but you have to agree that you were all over me." Stacy said.

"No, I'm not agreeing to that." Nate said as he sat down at his desk.

"But Nate-" Stacy said, but was inturrupted.

"I don't wish to listen to you flap your gums anymore. Just leave me alone." Nate told her, as she rolled her eyes and walked away.

Once the bitch did so, Angela went over to him, and told him that CD was on the phone.

CD was still in shock when he got on the phone with her.

"Hey, sweetie." Nate said.

"Don't sweetie me." CD said coldly.

"CD, what the hell is the matter?" Nate asked, not knowing what she was talking about. He was sure that she didn't know what went on with him and Stacy, but he wasn't sure right now.

"Oh, I dunno. You just slept with the rich skank, and then you try ot tell me everything's okay?! Nate, you said you'd stay away from her, but I guess I don't mean enough to you, do I?" CD told him. She couldn't believe that he would actually do such a thing.

"How did you know?" Nate asked quietly.

"Angela accidently put me on speaker, and I heard the whole conversation." CD explained.

"But, you didn't hear my side of the story." Nate said.

"Nate, I don't want to hear your side of the story. I want you to to leave me alone, because I don't wish to hear you flap your gums, as you would put it." CD explained to him. She knew it was harsh, and it probably wasn't his fault, but right now she was a little too upset to listen to what he had to say.

"CD,-" Nate started, but she quickly cut him off.

"No, I need to be alone now. I'll talk to you when I feel like calling you Nate." CD said.

"CD, what are we gonna do about us?" Nate asked.

"I think we need to take a break from us." CD told him.

"Yeah, okay. Call me when you're up to it, okay." Nate said, trying to be understanding.

"Thanks for giving me space Nate." CD said.

"Sure. And CD, I'm really sorry." Nate sighed. He knew he shouldn't have slept with Stacy, but he seriously didn't remember ordering any alcohal.

"Yeah, me too." CD hung up, and began to sob, as Nate hung up, and began to tell Angela about everything that happened.

Alright, I have more of this story, but first!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! Yeah, but now, on with the story!!! :D

"Wait, you didn't order any alcohal last night. How the hell could you be drunk?" Angela asked Nate. She was confused. She then started to think 'Wasn't Stacy playing around with his drink?...It was probably just nothing...' She erased the thought from her mind.

"Yeah, but how come I don't remember doing anything with her?! I mean, wouldn't I remember sleeping with someone?" Nate threw a few questions at her.

"Well, I would, but I'm not a man, and I'm not the one who cheated on my girlfriend." Angela told him.

"I don't remember doing it!" Nate exclaimed. God, what the hell was he gonna tell CD. She heard everything, and she was more than likly gonna ask about it.

"Sorry, but I don't know what to tell you." Angela said turning away, but then quickly remembered something. "Nate, do you think that you could cover for me, for like an hour and a half. I have to take Chanel to the doctor."

"Chanel..?" Nate asked, looking at her a little strange.

"Oh, yeah, she's my daughter. She's seven months, and has to go for her appointment, since I had to cancel it a few weeks ago." Angela explained.

"Oh, okay. Sure." Nate said. "Do you have pictures?"

"Yeah. Here." Angela took out her wallet, and gave it to him, placing her finger on one of the kids. "That's her."

"She's beautiful." Nate smiled.

"Do you have kids? I know CD had her tubes tied, but ya know." Angela asked.

"Well, if my wife hadn't cheated on me, we might have kids right now." Nate explained. Although, he was so glad that she did. If not, he wouldn't be together with the person that he cared about the most, right now.

"Uh, sorry." Angela said.

"Don't be. I'm so happy that she left me. After she left me, I came here, and then I got together with CD." Nate smiled.

"Then, I guess it was a good thing that she did leave you." Angela smiled.

"Yep, it was." Nate said, also smiling.

"So..." Angela said.

"So..." He mocked her.

"Knock it off." She hit him on the arm. "Which wife are we talking to today?"

"Hmm, number four or five. I can't remember." Nate said. God he missed CD. When would she call? What would they say to each other? Would she forgive him? Would she come back to him? Would they move in together? Would they get engaged? Would they get married? Would they adopt kids? All of these questions ran through his mind, but he was pulled from them, when Angela asked a question.

"So, left or right?" She asked as they came to a fork in the road.

"Huh?" Nate asked as he snapped out of the questions racing through his mind.

"Do we go left or right, you know, to Denise's house?" Angela asked.

"Oh, yeah. Umm, left. Third house on the right, after you get on to Elm street from here." Nate answered, remembering the exact thing that Cap had said.

"Thanks. What do we have on this woman?" Angela asked, just as she turned on to the street where the fifth ex-wife Denise's house was.

"Nothing really. She was only married for about six months, before they split up. But, she has an aliby, that she was at dinner with her current husband, but they haven't checked anything out yet." Nate told her, as he began to think about CD again. Angela quickly broke it this time, when she replied.

"Uh, actually they have, but she wasn't at dinner. He was working, and she was supposedly at home at the time. Do we wanna bring her down to the station, or what?" Angela asked as she pulled the car into the driveway.

"Yeah. It might get her to talk." Nate said.

*MEANWHILE*

"Mag, can you come here?" Jinny asked, covering her face with her hands, and running back towards the locker room, while Magda was getting up and following her.

"Jin, what's up?" Mag asked as she noticed a small box, and then noticed her tear-stained face, and her eyes filling up, like a bucket in a well, as she started to talk.

"Mag, I slept with a a guy, and I'm three weeks late, and I've been getting morning sickness, and..." She started to cry.

"Sweetheart," Mag said sitting down next to her, as Jinny hugged her. "I know this isn't what you wanna hear right now, but, we don't even know if you're pregnant for sure."

"Yes we do." Jinny sobbed some more. "There's two pink lines." She pulled back and showed her the test.

"Oh, God Jin. Do you know who the father is?" Magda asked as she examined the test for herself.

"Yeah,...it's Teddy." Jinny answered quietly.

"Teddy, I thought he was involved with-" Mag started, but was cut off by Jinny.

"He is." She took the test, and threw it into her locker with all the rest of her stuff that was out.

"Oh. Did you let him know?" Magda asked.

"Not yet. I mean, I found out last week, coz I thought that I was pregnant. But anyways, I called to tell him, but she answered the phone, so I'm just gonna wait until I talk to him in person." Jinny explained to her.

"I understand." Mag said, thinking back to the days when she was having the affair with Jonah, but quickly decided she didn't wanna think about it. "And Jin,..."

"Yeah Mag?" Jinny asked, as she sat back down on the bench next to Magda.

"Like you said to me, I'm gonna be here for you, and worse come to worse, you, me, Ben, and the baby, can all live in an apartment together." Magda said.

Jinny smiled. "Thanks Mag."

*MEANWHILE*

CD was sitting in her prison cell, deciding weather or not to call Nate. She excentuated the cons, and then the pros. More pros, but she wasn't sure if she could talk to him right now or not. She then decided to do something bigger, better, and crazy. She picked up the phone and dialed a fimiliar number.

After a few rings, Raina answered her phone.

"Raina, it's CD, do you have a minute?" She asked anxiously.

"Hi CD! How are you? Did you hear about Angela, she came back." Raina stated.

"I'm good, and yeah I heard, but more importantly, do you have Stacy's cell phone number?" CD spoke quickly.

"Yeah, 555-3472. But why would you wanna talk to that bitch?" Raina asked.

"Well, we need to straighten out a few things." CD smiled to her self.

"Okay." Raina said as Stacy walked in from her 2 and 1/2 hour lunch break. Raina looked at her, and Stacy gave her the finger. Then, Kate walked out, Raina didn't notice, and Raina did something very wrong, and sick, might I add.

"Raina..." Kate looked at her, and Raina's eyes widened, and then she turned around, and mouthed 'I'm on the phone' to give her some time. Kate gave her a look, that said, 'You're in sooo deep.'

CD heard, and then started talking to Raina about it. "What was that about?"

"Nothing. I'm just in a little trouble." Raina said, hoping that was all that it was.

"Okay, good luck getting out of it." CD said.

"Thanks, but I've gotta go. I just don't wanna get her anymore upset." Raina told her.

"Alright, bye." CD said and hung up.

Stacy and Raina were then quickly called into Kate's office, and then were being yelled at.

"What on earth were you thinking when you did this? Were you even thinking at all? I mean, what do you think would happen if someone like the mayor or the chief of police had walked in on that? Do you know what they'd say about us?" Kate asked, as Raina rolled her eyes, without letting Kate see, and Stacy just sat back.

"Sorry, but when someone comes back from a 2 and 1/2 hour lunch break, I think you'd get a little upset too. Do you, or do you not agree with me?" 'Ew,' She though. 'Why am I starting to sound like Cap?'

"You were gone for 2 and 1/2 hours?!" Kate turned her attention to Stacy.

"Yeah. Why, is that a problem?" Stacy asked.

"Do you think that's a problem? Because it is. Alright, punishments," Kate said as Stacy rolled her eyes, and Raina knew to be quiet. "Stacy, first of all, don't roll your eyes in front of me. Now, tomorrow you have desk duty, and a 15 minute lunch break. Raina, you get 1/2 a day desk work, and then you get to work with Magda and Jinny for the rest of the day."

"Okay." Raina said, and then thought 'Perfect. Now Mag and I can catch up on gossip, and I don't have to work with the slut!'

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Nate and Angela had nailed the fifth wife for the murder, but she got out on probation because he harassed her, and raped her, and stalked her, and abused her.

"Well, that was sure fun." Nate said sarcastically as he was driving back to the Division.

"Yeah, you're tellin me." Angela said. "That was one of the most boring one's I've ever been assigned to."

"Yep." Nate agreed as he came to a stop for a red light, and found a cupcake that he immediatly scarfed down.

"What was that?" Angela asked a little discusted.

"A piece of cake or something." He answered, and flashed his gorgeous smile, which surprizingly enough didn't have chocolate in his teeth.

"Cute Nate, real cute." Angela teased.

"Yeah, haha, make fun of Nate." He said, as he began driving again.

"There's plenty more where that came from. But seriously," She changed the subject. " What do you wanna do. I don't feel like going back to work, and it's not like she's gonna give us an assignment this late in the day. And plus, we can always work on the Liz Rowe case tomorrow."

"Okay, as long as you call." Nate said.

"Keep you're eyes on the road, and I will." Angela scolded him.

"Sorry." Nate quickly apologized.

"Yeah, what do you wanna do?" Angela asked, and Nate gave her a look. "Okay, beside strangle Stacy Newland, what do you wanna do?"

"Hmm, I wanna hold CD, kiss CD, make passionate-" Angela immediatly cut into this one.

"Okay, what do you wanna do right now, with me in the car?" Angela rolled her eyes.

"Okay, yeah, let's go out to Zacks, and get some snackage." Nate said.

"Alright, works for me. Just, please, keep your eyes on the road while I call Cap."

CD picked up her phone a few hours later, and dialed 555-3472, and Stacy picked up her phone.

"Hello." She said thinking it might have been Nate or something.

"Hi, Stacy, this is CD. I heard you slept with Nate, and quite frankly, I don't approve." CD said.

"Well, duh." Stacy smiled. "He was all over me."

"Yeah, I bet he was. You know what? I think you need to leave him alone, okay?" CD said, very angry at the time.

"I know you think so, but that's only because you're sleeping with him." Stacy came back.

"Okay, first of all, I'm not sleeping with him, I'm dating him, and second of all, if you don't leave him alone, I will be there, and we can take it outside." CD warned.

"Alright, when you're feeling better, call me." Stacy said and hung-up.

"Don't worry," She hung up. "I will."

Okay, since you asked nicely...;) And since Jin 'n' Mag weren't mentioned in the last part, we'll start with those two.

Jinny was just getting home, when she saw Jack's truck speed out of the driveway. She thought to herself 'What the hell?'

"Jin, was that Jack?" Magda looked over to her, after parking in his spot.

"Yeah, I think so, but I have no idea what he'd be doing here." Jinny said, opening up the car door, as did Magda.

"So, did you tell him yet?" She asked, as Jinny unlocked the front door so they could go inside and chat for a while.

"Umm, Mag, where have you been? We aren't even together anymore, and it's not his." Jinny said taking off her coat, and sitting down on the couch.

"Yeah, I mean did you tell the father, whom ever it might be." Magda said, doing exactly what Jinny did, as if they were playing 'Simon Says.'

"Umm, Mag, don't freak out, okay?" Jinny said coming up with what she was gonna say next.

"Why should I be freaking out?" Magda asked her, getting a little worried.

"Well, the father of my baby, is...umm...well, it's Gabe." Jinny said, trying not to smile. This could be the only humor she was gonna get in a while.

"What?!" Magda asked, stood up, and screamed at her partner. "Jinny, wha- how- when the hell did you get into bed with my husband?!"

Now Jinny was laughing so hard that her stomach hurt. Magda caught on, and gave her a look of relief, and of hate.

"Jinny! That wasn't funny." She said, sitting back down.

"Oh, yes it was! You should have seen you're face. You were freaking out!" Jinny said, and started immitating her.

"Haha, that was not funny." Magda said seriously.

"Sorry, Mag, but us pregnant people need humor sometimes." Jinny said as she continued to laugh.

"Jinny, what are we gonna do with you?" Magda asked herself, and Jinny.

"Chill Mag, you're startin to sound like Cap, and that scares me." Jinny warned.

Angela and Nate went out to Zacks to get Pizza, and while all of that was happening, Nate's phone began to ring. He excused himself, and answered the phone, but after doing so, he wished that he had just turned it off.

Angela sat there, while the waitress brought out their drinks. She got a diet coke, and Nate had got a cherry 7up.

Nate returned to the table, shortly after hanging up on the caller.

"Who was that?" Angela asked before taking a sip of the coke.

"No one important." Nate answered, looking down at the table, quickly noticing it's change. He grabbed the cold drink, and started to slurp it down.

"Oh, come on Nate, spill it. Who was the nobody? Was it CD?" Angela asked, teasing him.

"I wish. No, it was Stacy. She was crying, and telling me how she threatened her to stay away from me, or she'd kick her ass outside of the Division, and then she started to say something about getting together tonight, but I wouldn't know, coz I hung-up on her." Nate explained.

"Ha. CD would do that. But, I'm glad she's not detaining herself from telling Stacy off." Angela said, as the waitress brought their pizza out.

As she was setting it down, she said "You two make a cute couple." Nate and Angela looked at each other, and immediatly after, they looked back at her, smiling, knowing if they explained the real sitch, she'd get a little confused. But then, she walked away.

They then both looked at each other and laughed. It was pretty funny, actually. God, with the sitch that they were in, if they even thought about hooking up, everyone would know. God they hated the Division sometimes.

"That was one of the better compliments that I've heard." Nate said, picking up a slice of pizza.

"Why? Have people thought other things about you?" Angela said, hoping for something juicy. Not as much as Mag or Raina, but just a little something to tease Nate with now and then.

"Yeah, they actually thought that Magda and I were together once, and Jinny and I a few times." Nate said, still trying to scarf the pizza.

"And CD?" Angela asked, just starting her first piece.

"Well, yeah, like everytime we walk in after work. But, since we are together, everything's good with that, but let's keep this on the DL, coz, only a few people know about CD and I." Nate said, picking up his second piece.

"Not a problem." Angela said.

A little while later, after Angela got home, she went in to check on the babysitter, who was asleep on the couch, next to Chanel's swing where she was also asleep.

She went in the kitchen to put her purse away, and saw that the answering machine was blinking. She pused the button, and it said: "Three new messages, message one:"

1.) "Hello, we're trying to reach a Ms. Angela Reid, is she there?...Hello?...Hello?" They hung-up.

Angela rolled her eyes, and replied "I hate teller marketers."

2.) Hey, Angela, it's CD. Umm, I'm gonna be coming back in about two weeks. Don't tell anyone. Not even Nate. I wanna surprize him. Okay, call me later."

3.) "Hi, Angela, it's Kate. We need you to come in tomorrow, because we have a double homicide, dealing with an acting mayor, and then her supervisor, okay? Call me if you have something going on."

Angela frowned, and earased the first message. She was thinking about calling Kate, and telling her that she had to go to a doctor's appointment, but didn't bother. But she did pick up the phone and dial CD's cell. There was no answer, so she left a message. It said:

"CD, it's Angela. What's this I hear about you coming home? I thought you were staying 'til we caught Liz? Well, call me when you get this. And by the way, nice job telling the bitch off. She needs to get her ass kicked, and I don't know anyone who could do it more perfect. Alright, enough rambling, talk to ya later."

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Kate came home to an empty house, again. She knew Louis was cheating on her. She just needed to figure out who it was with.

After taking a long bubble bath, Kate got into her silk kimono, and went into her room, to continue reading her novel, that she had gotten as a present from Amanda. She was interrupted when she heard the door open, and then slam shut. She knew it was Louis, so she got back to reading the book.

He came wobbling up the stairs, obiously drunk, and angry.

Kate noticed the off glare in his eyes, but tried to ignore him. After he disappeared into the bathroom next to the bedroom, she and her book hoped downstairs onto the couch.

He came down a few minutes later, looking for her.

"Kate," He continued to call for her.

"What?" she asked, as she heard him coming down the stairs.

"Where are you?" He asked another question, as Kate tried to continue reading, but rolled her eyes instead.

"I'm on the couch." Kate said, this time determined to get back to her book, but was once again inturrupted by Louis. Not his words this time, but his mouth. He reaked of alcohal and another woman, so Kate pulled back away from him, and gave him a look.

"What's the matter Katie?" He asked her, trying to undo the string of the kimono.

"Louis!" She smacked his hand, and after knotting it a few times told him "You are cheating on me, and you just got back from your girlfriend's house. You smell horrible, and I really don't think you need to get laid by another woman tonight. How about you?"

"Katie," He pleaded.

"Oh, don't Katie me. Just leave me alone." She said turning back to her book.

Louis was growing angry. "Kate, I really need you tonight."

"Yeah, and when I need you, you're at your girlfriend's house. So, no, you don't need me. What you need, is to stop drinking, and sleeping with hookers, long enough to get your head on straight, and then once you finally do that, you need to find yourself a decent wife. Apparently more beautiful, more all over you, and more loving then I ever was." Kate told him coldly.

Louis was growing more mad by the second, until he finally hit her, and then managed to untie the kimono out of the mangled mess. After she felt it fall off of her, she tried to get up, and scream no, but before she could, he hit her over the head with the glass lamp standing straightly on the corner table next to them.

When she finally became concious, she woke up to an empty home, once again, and after remembering what had happened, she tried to get up, but couldn't because of her horrible headache from the glass. She managed to look down long enough to realize she was still bleeding, and there was already a bloody mess on the floor.

After she got a hold of the phone a few minutes later, she hit speed dial, and as she was passing out again, from the pain she felt, she hit the number 4.

Angela had already sent the babysitter home, gotten Chanel up to her crib, and started to fall asleep when her pager started to go off. It read: NATE--EMERGENCY

After she had gotten dressed, she called her friend, Julie, who was also a detective in San Francisco, but at a different police station.

When Julie had gotten there, she had already called Nate, and he didn't have good news.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Magda and Jinny were still chatting, and still sitting on Jinny's couch.

"So, who is the father?" Magda asked, taking a sip of the water that she had gotten a little while ago.

"Umm, well, actually, it's kinda, Teddy." Jinny confessed.

"Really?!" Magda asked, hugging her friend. "Jinny, I'm so happy for you two."

"But he doesn't really wanna be a dad." Jinny said, hugging her friend back, as tears sprang to her eyes.

"Jinny, oh God. I'm sorry. What did he say when you told him?" Magda asked, letting go of her.

"I didn't tell him." Jinny stated, wiping her eyes.

"But, Jin, you said-" Magda said, but stopped when she heard Jinny say something.

"No, he said he didn't want kids a long time ago." Jinny said, as she continued to wipe her eyes.

"I'm sure he'll wanna be part of it once you tell him." Magda told her.

"Yeah, maybe." Jinny sighed. "But do you really think so?"

"Hell yeah. Jinny, I'm sure that he'll want you to go with you to your sonograms, and watch your stomach get fat, and he'll want to be with you for the birth of the baby, and he'll want to be a father. Maybe, you'll even get married." Magda said supportively.

"Thanks Mag." Jinny said.

"By the way," Magda started. "I think you need to tell me when the first appointment is."

"Oh, yeah." Jinny said, trying to remember what day the receptionist had told her to come in. "Umm, next Tuesday, at 2:00."

"Okay. Do you mind if I go with you?" Magda asked.

"No, I was going to ask you if you wanted to go with me." Jinny said.

"Thanks. I can't wait!" Magda said. "But right now, I have to go."

"Okay. Drive safely, and make sure you give-" Jinny looked over, after she stopped, at the little device that was going off on the love-seat.

"What the?" Magda picked it up, and it read: RAINA--EMERGENCY

"Alright, I'll go call her." Jinny said quickly getting up, and then getting on the phone.

Magda could hear her saying little things like 'Oh, God.' and 'What?' But not too much else. Then she heard her say "I'll be right therem, and don't bother calling Mag, coz she's here."

"Let's go." She said getting her coat.

"What's wrong?" Magda asked.

"I'll explain in the car." Jinny said, walking out the door.

::Later on that night...::

The doctor walked out, and everyone stood up.

"How is she?" Nate asked.

"Umm, we did some tests, and well, which one of you wants to come and talk with me?" The doctor asked.

Everyone looked at Raina, knowing that she'd wanna know the most, since she and Cap were practically best friends.

"Yeah," She quickly caught on. "I wanna know."

"Okay, follow me." The doctor said. They began walking, and once they go to an empty room, he began to tell her everything that had went on. "Well, she was definetly raped, and she has a concussion. She's not conscious yet, and probably won't be for a few hours. But if you wanna go in and see her, you're aloud."

"And the rest of the inspectors?" Raina asked, obsorbing the news.

"Maybe tomorrow. Then she'll definetly be awake, and she can tell us what happened." The doctor said.

"Alright. I wanna go see her." Raina said, still shocked.

Once the doctor had led her to the room, Raina saw a person on the bed, who looked nothing like the Kate she had saw this morning. She was pale, and she had cuts on her arms and her forehead. Raina sat down on the doctor's stool, looking at Kate. She decided that she needed to talk to her.

"Kate, I know you probably can't hear me, but if you can, listen. We really need you to pull through, okay? We need you as our Captain at the Division. And I wanna let you know, if you do pull through, I promise that I'll try to be nice to Stacy. And when you do wake up, we need you to tell us who did it, although I already know who it is. You can't let Louis keep hurting you, okay? We're gonna nail him for this no matter what, but it really would be easier if you could help us out." Raina explained, as she started to get upset. "I'm gonna leave now, but I'll be back first thing tomorrow, okay? Well, since you're not awake, bye for now."

After Raina got out of the recovery room that Kate was in, she told everyone what had happened. The five friends decided to leave afterward.

"So, where is Stacy?" Angela asked.

"I didn't call her." Raina said.

"Why?" She asked back.

"Have you been around here lately?" Jinny asked. "Stacy is a little slutty bitch, who doesn't give a damn about anything except for herself."

"Yeah, but still, you should tell her what happened." Magda said to Raina.

"Are you crazy? She doesn't need to know anything." Nate said.

"Okay, you're right. It doesn't matter if she knows or not." Angela said.

"Yeah, it's not like she'll wanna waste her time coming down here and seeing our own Captain." Magda added.

"Yeah, I mean, that would be doing something nice." Nate said.

"And we wouldn't want her to do that." Jinny said.

"Nope, not Stacy." Raina said. "Actually, I really don't want her to come down to see Captain. It's not like she'd actually care."

"Me either." The rest of them added, almost in harmony.

"CD, I'm gonna put the anestesia in now. You'll soon be asleep, okay?" The voice said.

"Okay." CD said, as she quickly fell asleep.

About five hours later, CD woke up to an empty room, and once she had gotten the strenght, picked up her cell phone to call Nate like she was supposed to, but found she had two messages. One from Angela, and one from Raina. She listened to the first one, and decided she'd call her tomorrow. Once she finished the second one, she decided she'd also call tomorrow. Hopefully, her body wouldn't hurt as much anymore.

A few weeks later, CD and Kate were recovering, while Raina and Magda came to visit their Cap everyday. Jinny was the acting cheif, so the Division wasn't doing much of anything. Nate and CD were writing letters to each other, although they didn't know it. Angela was keeping CD's problem a secret, and helping, actually writing Nate's letter to her. Stacy was being Stacy, wasn't suceeding at getting Nate. It is now New Years Eve.

"So, did you she call you yet?" Angela asked as she sat down at her desk.

"No." Nate sighed.

"Well, she will. Trust me." Angela said.

"Well, one can only hope, right?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, right." Angela said.

"What are we doing today?" Nate asked her, as Raina walked by.

"With Jinny being our temperary Captain, nothing." Raina cut in, and sat down at Jinny's desk. She got to work with Magda since Jinny pushed Stacy into taking some vacation.

"Good." Nate said as he sat back in his chair. He got deeply into thought, when he fell asleep. He woke up to a pen hitting his head, a little while later. "Ow!"

Angela laughed. "Sorry, but it's the only way I could wake you up. Umm, the mail man brought this for you."

Nate took the envelope that was mostly blank on the front. It said Nate, and it said where to mail it to, but there was no return address. "Thanks." Knowing someone would know it was CD's handwriting, he put it into his desk drawer for the party.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Jinny was sitting in Kate's chair, waiting for someone to call or someone to come in, when she suddenly got occupied with trying to open up the desk drawers. She thought she would find some kind of romantic love letters from someone. She was inturrupted by Magda, when she came in.

"What's up?" Magda asked closing the door.

"Nothing much. I'm just thinking." Jinny answered.

"About...?" Magda asked.

"How I'm gonna tell Teddy. I figure I'll break it to him tonight." Jinny told her, as she slowly was starting to get nauseaus again.

"Yeah, that'll work. So, Raina and I caught Christy Neil's murderer." Magda changed the subject.

"Who?" Jinny asked.

"The school slut." Magda said, trying to refresh her memory.

"Oh, yeah. Who was it." Jinny asked.

"Her father. I guess he found out, and killed her. Apparently the girl's mother used to be a hooker, and he killed her too." Magda explained.

"Well, there goes my theory for the perfect family." Jinny said.

"Yeah, go figure." Magda added.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

CD was finishing her packing, when she got a knock on her door. It was the mail man, bring her the first and last piece of mail she'd ever get from that place.

She tore it open when she realized it was Nate's handwriting. It read:

Dear CD,

Hey! I know you've tried to call me. Sorry, I've been a little busy. I know about the phone call that you made to Stacy, and I agree with you, she does need to learn a lesson. I know what she and I did to you, was the worst thing that anyone could ever do. I didn't mean to hurt you, and I'm sorry if I did. I don't know what came over me when it happened. I thought it was you at first, so I said you're name. I was excited, overwhelmed, and scared as hell, because I didn't remember you coming home. When I said your name thought, boy she was pissed.
I have also been talking to Angela. She needs to talk to you. I need to talk to you too. I've tried you're cell phone, but I can't seem to get a hold of you. I left you a whole bunch of messages, but I guess you haven't gotten the chance to call me back.
Look, I understand if you don't want to talk to me, but I think we need to dit down, and figure this whole thing out.

CD set the note down, and continued to pack her stuff. Once she was done, she checked out, and went to the train station.

::Later that night::

CD stepped of the train. She was finally back where she belonged, in San Fransisco. It was almost 7, so she figured the annual party had started by now.

Angela called CD. After a few rings, CD answered the phone.

"CD, it's Angela, and I have something important to tell you." Angela spit out immediatly.

"What?" CD asked frantically.

"That night, when Stacy and Nate ended up in bed, it wasn't his fault. I saw her slip something into his drink. I would have told you sooner, but I knew you would have just thought I was covering for him." Angela explained.

"Thank you for telling me Angela. I should be at the station in about a half an hour, okay?" CD said.

"Yeah, I can't wait to see you." Angela said.

"Talk to you then?" CD asked.

"Yeah, okay, bye." Angela hung up. Thank God. Now that they could get back together, everyone could get on with their life, civily.

Nate and Jinny were waiting until they were both alone. Finally Teddy came, and Jinny took him into Kate's office to explain things.

Nate took out his letter, and went to an interrogation room. He tore it open, and began reading it. It said:

Dear Nate,

Sorry I haven't got a chance to talk to you. I've been thinking, I say we straighten this whole thing out. I have a surprize to you, but we'll just have to wait until we talk.
I talked to Stacy, and I told her I was gonna come back and kill her if she tried to lay a hand on you again. Maybe I should have out it like that. I want you to know that I understand if you don't want to talk to me again, but I hope we can still be partners, and not have a problem. I'm sorry. I should have listen to you first. Next time, I won't jump to conclusions. I don't think it was your fault anyways.
Nate, once you're done reading this, would you please come out into the lobby. Angela told me she has something important for you.

Nate came out, and went into the lobby. He saw the most precious thing standing in front of him. He went to her, and picked her up. She winced a little from the pressure, but didn't show him. They kissed, and without speaking, they decided to go back to her house.

The next morning, Jinny woke up to an empty bed. She quickly got up, and when she smelled something good, went into the kitchen. There, she found Teddy, cooking her a breakfast. Last night had gone pretty good.

"Hey." He said, getting out a second plate, for himself.

"Hi. What are you doing?" She asked, rubbing her eyes, from the sunlight.

"Cooking breakfast for my two favorite people in the world." Teddy said, turning everything off, and adding the finishing touches.

"Thanks." She said, quickly kissing him, and then sitting down.

"Yeah, we need to talk about somethings." Teddy said, quickly changing the subject.

"What things?" Jinny asked, nevously.

"Well, are you gonna keep it? Are you going to go to a doctor? Are you absolutly positive I'm the father?" He asked.

"Yes, I'm keeping the baby, yes, I'm going to a doctor tomorrow at 2:00, and I'm positive it's yours. Do you really think I got it on with some other guy while you were in town?" Now it was Jinny's turn to ask a question.

"Well, you were married." He said, starting to eat.

"Yeah, but still, I wouldn't have gotten back together with him after he left-" Jinny quickly stopped, when she realized she was going to get sick. She quickly left. She wasn't used to it, because it was the first time morning sickness actually kicked in.

'Oh, no.' Teddy thought to himself. He quickly got up, and came in to give her a cold wash cloth for her forehead.

"Thanks." She said, after he gently placed it on her feverish head.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"What are you talking about?.....Of course I tried to drag him-...No, he went back to her...yeah, I suppose...You know what? You'll just have to take it like a man, okay? I'm doing the best I can. I can't help it if he likes that slut...uh-huh...yeah, will do....I have to go...Yep, bye." Stacy ended her phone conversation. "Now, for plan B."

She went into her closet, and found some clothes, that she had wanted to wear. She got dressed, and did her make-up. When she came out of the bathroom, she looked like a hooker. She had a skimpy, purple skirt on, with a flashy red tank-top. She also had five inch high boots, and a white, feathery, boa on. Her make-up was way over-done. There was a ton of blue eyeshadow, plenty of blush, lipstick that would make a red puddle, if possible, and then her hair was down, and very highlighted, blonde, but not as blonde as CD's.

"Perfect." She said to herself, and then smiled. After she had been driving for a while, she found herself at the Division. She had to becareful, though. Cap might be there. Then she started to talk to herself again. "Stacy, do this, Stacy do that. Oh, don't forget to pick this up, and don't forget that. God, Liz, why don't you do something for yourself for a change?!"

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

CD and Nate got up late that morning. She had already found her Saturday morning show, when Nate came downstairs. Nate looked at the television a little strangly.

"CD, what are you watching?" Nate asked, sitting down.

"Hmm, I forget what it's called. Something like Celebrity Pets. Noah Wyle was on. How could I miss it?" She teased.

"Haha." He rolled his eyes, annoyed. "So, what time do you plan on calling Cap?"

"Umm, I figured I'd surprize her." CD said, and then immediatly shhhing him.

"Yeah, coz she's actually gonna let you work there right now." Nate said, as soon as a commercial popped up on the t.v.

"She doesn't really have a choice." CD told him.

"Well, whatever." Nate said. "Do you want something to eat?"

"Nate, I've searched your cabinets. You have plenty of nothing to eat." CD said, giving him a look.

"Oh, sorry. Maybe we'll go out later." He suggested.

"Maybe..." She kissed him.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Cap, you need to stay here. Louis hasn't gotten caught yet, so if he finds you, it won't be good." Raina told Kate, after Kate told her she was gonna go back to work.

"Yes mommy. But, do you really think he's gonna try to get back at me?" She asked Raina, who was currently flipping through the channals.

"I have no idea. But, I'll make you a deal." Raina said knowing exactly what to get CD for Christams, since she forgot to get her something. "When you let CD come back, you can come back."

"You're not my boss. Last time I checked, I was incharage." Kate said.

"Yeah, but I wanna know who died, and made you Captian." Raina said.

"Actually, he got fired." Kate said as a matter-of-factly.

"Whatever. I don't care. You really don't wanna get caught by Louis again. You already know what it's like, and you don't wanna come back yet. Trust me. That is, unless you let CD come back." Raina told her.

"Yeah, fine." Kate finally agreed.

"Good." Raina said to herself.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Angela had just gotten woken up by her daughter's screaming. She got up, and went into her room, which was right next door.

After she picked Chanel up, she gave her a bottle, and then finally turned on a Nick Jr. show. While Chanel was kind of watching that, she got some cleaning done. Angela cleaned the sinks, vaccumed the living room, and her bedroom, cleaned the bathroom, and got her daughter's room all straightened up.

After she got done doing that, it was nearly lunch time. She put Chanel in her high chair, and fed her lunch, but half way through it, the phone rang.

"Reid." She answered.

"Angela, it's CD. Do you wanna have lunch with Nate and I?" CD cut to the chase.

"Uhh, sure. Let me just call the babysitter, and-" Angela said, but was inturrupted by CD.

"Just bring her along. We're going to the park. Nate said he has something for me, and I think I know what it is." CD whispered.

"What?" She asked.

"I have a feeling it's a surprize picnic. I keep nagging him about having one, but he keeps forgetting it." CD kept whispering to her friend.

"Okay, when do you want me to meet you? And what part of the park?" Angela asked.

"You should leave ASAP, and on top of the hill." CD told her.

"Okay, I'll be there soon." Angela said, hanging up.

After everyone had gotten to the park, Angela took Chanel to the baby swings, after she got fussy, and CD and Nate got some alone time.

"Okay, so what's my surprize?" CD asked.

"Well, I wanna know my surprize first." Nate came back.

"You have to wait til tonight. But what's mine?" CD asked again.

"Okay, okay, I give in. Follow me." Nate said leading her to the car he took. He made sure they both brought seperate cars, so that he could actually pull it off. He opened the door, and a puppy jumped out at CD.

"Oh my God!" CD said, picking the very small laborator retreiver up. "What's it's name?"

"She doesn't have a name. I thought you would want to name the little thing, but I'm warning you, we don't only have one dog." Nate explained.

"You have one?" CD asked, trying to calm the squirmy pup down.

"Yeah, his name is Buddy. He's a golden retriever." Nate told her.

"Well, I think I'm gonna name this one Kami. I've always liked that name for some reason. Ever since I was a kid. My mother wouldn't let me have a dog, so when I got a stuffed animal, I named it Kami." CD explained.

"Yeah, I understand. My mom wouldn't let me have an animal either." Nate said, kissing her. "But, we better get going. We wouldn't want Kami and Buddy to be apart for too long." Nate said, taking Kami, while CD went to tell Angela that they were leaving.

When Angela and CD came back with Chanel, to go home, all of their pagers started going off. They all said the same thing: KATE, GET TO THE DIVISION ASAP!

They all looked at each other, and got into their cars. Raina had already told Kate about CD coming back.

By the time the trio of inspectors got there, Jinny, Mag, and Raina were already sitting down at their desks, helping Cap prepare for her "lecture".

A few minutes later, Stacy showed up in her hooker outfit, and everyone gave her a look.

"I was on vacation." Stacy said and rolled her eyes. "Can we just get this over with? And CD, how are you?"

CD gritted her teeth, and gave her a look. "Wonderful, until you got here."

"Alright, ladies, the meeting is starting." Kate shot them both a look. CD looked guilty, but Stacy pretended she didn't even hear the comment. "Okay, as you all know, we've have some problems in the partnering that's present. But I took matters into my own hands, and here's your new assignments. I know that from my own observations, and some very nice phone calls, Angela and Nate are going to be partners. Also, from what I've noticed, Magda and Raina get along well, so I'm making them partners. Umm, CD, could I ask you to work with them?"

"Sure." CD replied, disappointed, but also happy they could actually be together.

"Okay, good. Now, Jinny, you are one of my best detectives, so you are going to work with Stacy." Kate finished her announces.

"No! I'm not working with this,..slut, if you payed me. Wait, you are. And did I mention I'm not working with her?" Jinny exclaimed. She hated the bitch.

"Well, I don't know who'd wanna work with an alcohalic, anyways." Stacy said.

Jinny tried jumping at her, but thank God, Magda and Raina were there to catch her. She gave them a look. "Let go of me! That bitch needs some disciplene."

"Jinny!" Kate raised her voice. "I don't need you harrassing Stacy. When you've calmed down, I'll see you in my office."

After Kate left the room, Stacy headed out, and Mag, Raina, and Angela went to the Anchorside. CD and Nate decided to tell Kate what was going on, so they stuck around, along with the very aggressive, and pissed off Jinny.

"Cap, I'm sorry. I can't stand her though. And I swear, if I have to work with her, I'll walk out that door, and you won't see me again." Jinny said, still trying to calm down.

"Okay, I won't make you work with her, but would you please? Just once. If you don't like her, you and Raina can switch." Kate said.

"Fine." Jinny stopped, because she knew she was going to get sick. "I'll be right back."

After Jinny ran out to the bathroom, CD and Nate looked at each other, and then went in, both a little nervous. CD, a lot.

"Cap, Kate, we need to talk to you about something important." CD started.

"Okay, shoot." Kate said, kind of confused.

"Well, first we need to thank you for not partnering us up together." Nate said.

"Well, if you guys are fighting, you need to work it out." Kate told them.

"Actually, it's the exact opposite. The reason we can't work together, is because we're involoved." CD spilled.

"And, we're living together." Nate added.

"We are?" CD asked, looking into his eyes.

"If you want to." Nate smiled, and CD slightly blushed.

"Nate, you're so sweet. Of course I'd live with you." CD said, kissing him, but not for to long, remembering Kate was in the room.

"Ahem!" Kate looked at them. "That was a touching story, and all, and I wish you two the best of luck, but I really can't watch you guys do that right now."

"Oh, right. Sorry Cap." Nate apologised.

"Me too." CD said. "And Kate, we need to talk about that."

"Yeah, I suppose." Kate said, remembering that night.

Just then, Jinny walked in. "Wow, what is this? The brady bunch?"

"Yeah. You didn't see the new virsion?" CD teased.

"Haha. But for real, what are you guys doing?" Jinny asked, sounding confused.

"Just talking. Uh, Jin, Nate, could you give CD and I a minute?" Kate asked, trying to shoo them out.

"Yeah." They both said, as they went out.

"Okay, I want to know what happened." CD stated.

"CD,-" Kate began, but CD took over.

"Cap, come on. I mean, you know about everything that went on when I was raped. I know how you feel. Except, he wasn't my husband." CD explained.

"Alright. He came home, drunk, from his girlfriend. After he found me downstairs, we started getting upset with each other. He finally stripped me, and then before I could get up, he hit me with the lamp that was on the table. When I woke up, I was in horrible pain. I finally figured out what it was. He raped me, and then he got me with a knife." Kate said, concentrating on all of the things that happened that night.

"Oh, God." CD's eye's widened. "I'm so sorry. Is there any chance of you being pregnant?"

"Not really." Kate told her.

"Well, at least he wore a condom." CD said.

"Umm, no, that's not it. He got me with the knife. The doctor said that it would clear out most of the semen inside." Kate explained.

"Oh. Okay. Well, that's good." CD said. "Okay, not good, but you know what I mean."

"Yeah." Kate said on almost a whisper.

"Okay, I'm gonna get back home, and I believe that Jinny still wants to talk to you." CD stood up, and left.

Jinny came in seconds later, only to find Kate crying.

"Cap, what's wrong?" Jinny asked, as she sat down across from her.

"Nothing." Kate said, getting straightened up. "So, where'd you go?"

"Bathroom. I've been getting sick lately." Jinny said.

"And that would be because of...?" Kate hinted, and Jinny caught on.

"I'm pregnant." Jinny smiled, a little. "But I never knew how much it could suck."

"Yeah, I remember." Kate smiled too.

"Okay, well, get your stuff, and be ready for tonight." Nate said, dropping her off at her apartment.

"And this time you'll pick me up?" CD smiled.

"Yeah." He smiled back. He kissed her, and when they pulled back from each other, she left. After they parted, they both sighed.

Thanx guys!!! :heart: you all!!!! Okay, Cat, that is weird! lol, and yeah, every morning before skool, I watch Jag, for Tracey!!!!! I love how she has to look professional, but she makes it look fashionable for the uniform!!! lol. And yeah, i'm typing more, now!!!!!

That night, which was Sunday night, Nate came over to CD's house, to pick her up. She had a knee length, light blue skirt on, which matched her eyes, and hair piece perfectly, with a white tank-top, and then she wore her black, 2 inch, high heeled sandels. Nate was dressed in a black shirt, with new jeans on. He wore his sneakers.

After Nate came by to pick CD up, he couldn't help but notice that she was carring an extra bag, that she put in the back seat. When she got situated, he drove them off to the resturaunt. While doing so, Nate was thinking about things.

'Okay,' He thought. 'She could want to spend the night with me, or it could just be his make-up bag. Or, it could be the surprize. Maybe I'll ask her. Nah, I'd sound retarted.'

"Nate!" CD scolded, as they almost went off the road. When he got back on, she looked at him. "Nate, I know you're not trying to kill me, since last time we tried this, you know what happened, so what the hell were you thinking?"

"Just confused about some things." Nate said, as he finally got back up to speed.

"Anything you wanna share?" CD asked, fixing her hair in the mirror.

"Well, it's gonna come up sooner or later, so what's in the bag?" He asked, not looking at her, in fear of being lectured at.

"My purse?" CD asked, continuing to do her make-up and hair.

"No, the one in the back seat." Nate told her.

"Oh, uh, I was just bringing it along since we haven't spent much time together lately, and more-the-less, slept together, and I figure, if you're not good in bed, then what are you good for?" CD teased.

"Yeah, I know." Nate told her. "But, maybe you should ask some of my other friends, who I've slept with."

"Umm, I don't wanna talk to anyone else. I wanna talk to you, and that's it. At least for tonight, anyway." CD said suductivly.

"Hmm, me either." He replied, equally suductive.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Yeah, I'm here...uh-huh......of course I remember! I'm dressing up like a slut just to make you happy....yeah, wait, they're here...uh-huh..okay." She hung-up. "You know, sometimes I wonder if it's worth it."

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"CD, it's Jinny, can you come over tomorrow morning?" Jinny asked, when she called CD on her cell phone.

"Sure, what's up?" CD asked, a bit concerned.

"Nothing really. I just really need to talk to you." Jinny explained, while she was getting upset.

CD could tell. "Okay. Are you sure you don't want me to come over tonight?"

"Yeah, tomorrow morning would be the best. And right now, I've gotta go, okay?" Jinny told her.

"Okay. Be over at seven. Bye." CD hung-up.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

After CD hung up the cell phone, Nate glanced over at her, quickly.

"What was that about?" He asked.

"Jinny. She wants me to come over tomorrow morning." CD answered.

"Oh, alright." Nate said, parking the car, in the space that was pretty far away from the door. That way, they could walk and talk about things.

"Okay, so, after dinner, do you want to come over, because I'm gonna be pretty hungry." Nate said, with a grin.

"Hell yeah! And I bet that I'll still be starving." She said, looking at him with her innocent, blue eyes.

"Okay." Nate said, taking her hand, and sewing her fingres into his.

"Nate..?" CD said, stopping.

"Huh?" Nate asked.

"I can't wait to get back to your place. I hope you like your surprize." She smiled, and they proceeded to walk to the door.

"I'm sure what ever it is, I'll love it." Nate said.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Once Magda got home, Gabe and Ben were still out, watching a baseball game. She sat down, and noticed there was a message. Her eyes widened when she heard it. It was from Peter, and he wanted to see her.

"Oh, God." She said to no one in particular.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

Nate and CD walked into the resturant, only to be greeted by Stacy.

"Hello Nate." She smiled, and then looked at CD. "And hello...?"

"CD." CD answered.

"Actually, it's Inspector DeLorenzo to you." Nate said coldly. "Now if you'll excuse us, we've got somewhere to be."

"But Nate,.." Stacy said, shoving CD out of the way. "Whoops, sorry. Nate, I need you."

CD caught herself, and shoved her right on the floor. "Whoops, sorry."

CD and Nate proceeded with their dinner.

Stacy stood up, and marched over to their table. She looked at Nate, and then glared at CD.

"Can I help you?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, you can take me home, I know how much you want to." She smiled.

"Stacy, I know that whatever happened between us happened, and there's nothing I can do to change that, but if I could, I would." Nate told her.

"Nate, you are such a kidder. DD, give us a minute. I'm sure Nate doesn't want to hurt your feeling, considering how sweet he is, and everything." Stacy grinned.

"CD, and no. Nate, can we just go home. I really hate this bitch, and I'm feeling a little sick anyways." CD asked.

"Yeah, let's go." Nate said, leading them both out, as CD tried to punch Stacy, but Nate knew, and automatically stopped her.

::At home::

Nate was already breathing heavily, when CD stepped into his bedroom. 'Oh, God.' He thought. 'I am gonna get laid tonight...'

"Nate," CD called from the bedroom.

"Yeah?" Nate called back.

"Can you come here?" She yelled again.

"Yep." He got up, and went into the bedroom.

"Hi. I was hoping to tell you my surprize." CD said.

Nate's eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of his head. She was laying on their bed, with a silk, short, red dress on, while Nate was just standing there, staring at her, like an idiot.

"Nate...?" She said as he snapped out of it.

"Yeah, okay, what's your surprize?" Nate asked, climbing into bed next to her.

"Well, I've been thinking, and I figured, yeah, we might not always be together, but we will be best friends right?" CD stared.

"Yeah." Nate answered, confused.

"Well, I was hoping to have a baby with you Nate." CD said, turing toward him, to get a reaction.

"But you had your tubes tied." He said, still obiously confused.

"Yeah, and I also had them untied before I came back." CD smiled, and Nate just sat there. "Nate, are you okay?"

"Fine. I'm just,...wow, a baby. Okay, yeah, I would like to have kids one day." Nate smiled.

"Thank you." She smiled and kissed him. The kisses got more intense, and before they knew it, they were trying to make a baby. And then they were asleep.

They woke up the next morning, with the sound of the alarm clock.

"Argggggggggggghhhhhhhhh!" They both groaned, as they got out of bed, finding their clothes.

"So, what are you making?" CD asked, after she came downstairs a little later.

"Eggs, and toast. I didn't know how you liked yours, so I made them over easy." Nate told her.

"Okay, sounds good." CD said, coming over to sit down, and then changed the subject. "So, good thing I brought some extra clothes, huh?"

"Yeah." He smiled, as the two puppies came trotting in.

"Hi." She said, reaching down to pet them. "I'll feed them."

After doing so, Nate smiled, and here's a shocker, he was already done with breakfast.

:A little while later:

Jinny and Stacy were assigned to a case, involving a bar fight, and they were both murdered.

"Well, maybe if we ask, we can get a newassignment." Stacy scowled, and swished her hair back.

"Why don't you just back off, and let me do my job." Jinny warned.

"No, why don't you just go back to your notes, and let me ask Kate if we can get a new assignment." Stacy came back.

"Don't screw with me." Jinny said, definetly coming on as emotional.

"No, see, I am doing something, and I don't need you screwing with me." Stacy said, rolling her eyes.

"I don't care!" Jinny screamed. "Just leave me the hell alone."

"I will, as soon as I give you my treat." She pulled her hair.

"Ow!" Jinny screamed, and elbowed her in the stomach.

"Ow, bitch!" Stacy screamed, and tried to punch her, but instead, Jinny ducked, and punched her.

By the time they were done with their cat fight, they both had some scratches, and Stacy was pretty much a purple blob, laying on the tar road.

Kate had consequences, mostly for Stacy, coz she started the fight, and tried to beat up a pregnant inspector, so she was suspended, and then Jinny was a assinged to desk duty. But when she was done, she got to work with CD.

After that week was over, Jinny was working with CD, and Stacy was still suspended. Kate was thinking about firing her, but decided against it,..for now.

"So, what cases do you have for us today Cap?" Jinny asked, leaning back in her chair.

"Exsted, DeLorenzo, I want you down at the park. We've got a double homicide, but they're both police officers." Kate explained, handing the file to CD.

"Is it wrong that I actually wanna work this case?" Jinny said, as she waited for the folder.

"Yeah." CD laughed, handing it to her.

"Thought so." Jinny smiled.

"Washington, Ramirez, I want you two gathering info for your six-year-old homicide. Check out the family history, and what the parents stories are." Kate told them, as she gave them their birthday.

"Captain, do we really have to work this case?" Raina asked.

"Yes, I know you got a little upset last time, but that was two years ago." Kate said, knowing Magda or Raina would have something to add to that.

"You do remember the upset Raina, right?" Magda asked, giving her a look.

"Yes." Kate sighed. "Alright, Basso, Reid, you two have this case, and you two can have the drive by murder at Sixth and Bay street."

"Okay, that sounds better." Raina smiled, switching folders with Kate.

After they were on their cases, Kate got a moment to herself. She didn't exactly feel great, so she rested her head in her hands, and fell asleep.

It seemed like only moments later when she was woken up.

"Hey Cap." Raina smiled after waking her up. "Sorry I had to wake you, but the ADA is out, and I was wondering if you could fax this over to the judge. We're gonna need a search warrent for Mrs. Ricardo's house."

"Who?" Kate asked, wiping her eyes.

"Uh, she's a suspect in a drive-by murder. She doesn't have a good story, and two of this witnesses can place her there." Magda filled her in.

"Okay, I'm on it." Kate said, looking over the report she was sending to the judge. "Are the rest of my inspectors back yet?"

"No. They must still be at their crime scenes." Raina said.

"Okay, after I fax this, I'm gonna go home, if that's okay with you two." Kate said.

"You're the Captian." Mag told her.

"Yeah, but I just wanna make sure you guys will be okay without me." Kate smiled.

"We'll miss you dearly, but honestly, go home, and rest. We'll be fine." Raina said.

"Alright, thanks guys." Kate said. "And Mag, would you mind taking over for me while I'm at home on the couch?"

"Love to." Mag smiled. "And I'll even tell the inspectors that you left."

Okay, thanks again. And I'll get you when I'm leaving." Kate said, practially pushing them ou the door. She let out a small sigh of relief, and then got to the going home part of the day.

After Kate got home, she threw up a few times, and then finally fell asleep.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"So, what exactly did you find out?" CD asked Jinny, as they drove back to the Division.

"Well, the cops were obiously murdered, duh, but it was either a mastermind or a magician who did the dirty work." Jinny explained.

"You're saying we've got two police men dead, and no leads, what so ever?" CD asked, a little frustrated with the case.

"Yep." Jinny confirmed.

"And you're sure there is no leads, and no weapon?" CD asked.

"I'm positive. And you?" Jinny started asking.

"Nota." CD said.

"Cool. Cap ought to be real happy with us for this move." Jinny rolled her eyes.

"Thrilled would be a better word." CD corrected.

"So how are you and Nate?" Jinny changed the subject.

"Good. You and Teddy." CD asked.

"Same." Jinny said.

"Okay," Jinny whispered. "Between you and me, Teddy and I are engaged."

"You are?!" CD asked, excited.

"It's at home. We're not ready to tell everyone yet." Jinny admitted.

"Okay. I won't say a word. Have you told Magda?" CD promised.

"CD, telling Magda, is like telling the Gazette." Jinny smiled.

"Yeah, you've got a point. But aren't you gonna have ask her to be your maid of honor?" CD asked.

"Horror, maybe." Jinny joked, and they both laughed. "But no. I want you to be the maid of honor. And I'm going to suggest Nate to be Teddy's best man."

"Really? That's so sweet. I would love to be the maid of honor, Jinny. And if it's possible, Nate would love to be Teddy's best man." CD told her.

"Thanks CD." Jinny got up to hug her.

Nate and Angela were driving to the Anchorside, when they ran into Magda and Raina. Not literally, but they saw them.

"Hey." Angela greeted.

"Hi." Raina turned around from the table.

"Mind if we join you?" Nate asked.

"Go ahead." Magda smiled.

"So, where are you guys on the case?" Raina asked, taking a bite of her salad.

"Umm, we've got some suspects. No one we can nail yet. The parents check out though." Angela explained. "You?"

"Umm, we're celebrating. We solved ours. Prints and witness's choice of the murderer match." Magda told them.

"Nice." Nate flashed his smile.

"Yeah." Angela agreed.

"So, are you two going home? Cap said we could." Raina said. "She called and said she was really sick, and probably won't be in tomorrow."

"Oh. Then I'm outta here. Did you guys call CD and Jinny?" Nate guestured.

"No." Raina said.

"Me either." Magda admitted.

"Okay, I will." Nate said, and looked at Angela. "You goin home?"

"Yep. You can drive." Angela handed him the keys.

"DeLorenzo." CD answered her phone.

"You ready to go?" Nate asked.

"What? Where?" CD was really confused.

"Cap said we could go home." Nate replied quickly.

"Really? That's cool." CD smiled to herself. "And yeah, I'm ready."

"Okay, bring yourself and Jinny outside, and we'll be the carpool." Nate chuckled.

"Alright. We'll be there in a minute." CD hung-up. "Jinny, let's go."

"Where?" Jinny looked up from her paperwork.

"Umm, Kate said we could go home. And Nate's gonna drive us." CD explained, as she grabbed her coat.

"Works for me." Jinny smiled, and grabbed her coat too.

:::A few minutes later..:::

"Bye Angela." The trio of inspectors said in unison.

"Bye guys." She smiled, and then went inside.

"Next stop," Nate started after pulling out of Angela's driveway "Jinny's house."

After Jinny had got home, CD and Nate drove to his house.

"I thought we were going to my house." CD suggested.

"We would, but you don't have any food. You eat like a bird." Nate looked at her.

"Okay, fine, you have a point. But I would like to be able to walk into my house without stepping on something." CD said.

"Yeah, I'll clean it later mom." Nate said.

"Okay." Nate looked at her. "Go ahead."

"Yeah, well, Jinny and Teddy are getting married-" CD started.

"They are?" Nate asked. "I didn't see a ring."

"That's because they don't want anyone to know. So that means no telling Magda." CD warned.

"Okay. I won't blab." Nate rolled his eyes, like an annoyed teenager.

"Good. Now as I was saying before I was rudely inturrupted." She looked at Nate. "Jinny asked me to be her maid of honor."

"Really? What about Magda?" Nate asked.

"She probably wouldn't have time, or something like that." CD said, like it was obious.

"Yeah, you're probably right. And you'll be the most gorgeous maid of honor there ever was." Nate added.

"Like wise to the best man." CD smiled.

"And who would that be?" Nate pretended not to know.

"Umm, Brad. Magda's new boyfriend." CD teased.

"Yeah, I can't wait. We'll walk down the isale together, and it'll be just like our wedding." Nate told her.

"Except ours will be bigger, but just as blue." CD smiled.

"Yeah." Nate kissed her.

"You did what?!" Raina demanded.

"I told him, and then when he came back, he found me with Brad." Magda told her.

"Magda. Do you remember what adultry is? And do you remember that huge wedding you had? And do you remember Ben?" Raina asked her a thousand questions, and expected answers for all of them.

"Yes, yes, and yes. But I love Brad." Magda smiled.

"Just like you loved Jonah, huh?" Raina asked coldly.

"I didn't love him like I love Brad." Magda told her. "And you should plan on coming to our wedding."

"You're getting married?" Raina asked, not surprized.

"Someday." Magda sighed. "You know, I think you've been hanging around with Cap for a little to long."

"No, I'm just not as pathetic as you, apparently." Raina said. "And when you do get married, are you going to cheat on cheat on him too?"

"No! I love Brad. I did not love Gabe. I married him for Ben's sake." Magda told her.

"Yep. I'm sure you did." Raina said.

"So, when do we wanna get married?" Teddy asked Jinny after he finished kissing the top of her head.

"Umm, I dunno." Jinny smiled.

"Well, we have to decide." Teddy told her.

"Well, I think it should be before." Teddy suggested. "Then everyone could see you fat."

CD is in bed, reading a book, when Nate comes in with a question.

"So, CD, remember you said you got your self, you know, able to have kids again." Nate started.

"Yeah." CD said, confused.

"Well, are you pregnant?" Nate asked.

"Umm, I don't know, Nate." CD told him. "I have no signs, but then again, not all women do."

"Okay, so shouldn't you find out?" Nate asked.

"Uh-huh. I'll pick up a pregnancy test tomorrow." CD reassured him.

"Good. I can't wait to be a daddy." Nate smiled, as he got into bed with her. He snuggled into his pillow, and then pulled her next to him.

"Nate!" She squirmed away. "I need to turn off the lights, put my book down, and brush my teeth still. Can we hold the comforting for just a sec?"

"Sure." Nate said, not really sure of what just happened.

After CD brushed her teeth, she came out, and climbed back into bed.

"Sorry Nate." She apologised.

"It's okay. I still love ya." Nate smiled.

"Thanks." CD smiled.

"But really, I can't wait to be a dad." Nate told her, as he massaged her back.

"Yeah." CD sighed.

Kate was at home, still feeling pretty lousy.

'What the hell is wrong with me?' Kate thought, as she layed down in her bed.

After she had layed there for a while, she knew she couldn't get to sleep.

She got up, and grabbed some chocolate chip ice-cream from the freezer. She then got a spoon, and headed back to her room. Once she finished with that, she started to knit. Then she decided to call her sister, and chat with her for a while.

The next morning was not the best. Kate decided to take the day off since she didn't get any sleep the night before. She quickly called the Division, and then she fell asleep.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

CD picked up the test the next morning. She, also, stayed at home that day, and that's when she took it.

When Nate got home, later on that night, he found CD in the bedroom, crying to herself.

"CD, what's the matter?" He asked, as he sat down next to her.

"Oh, hi Nate." CD wiped her eyes. "How was work?"

"Good. How are you?" Nate said, almost whispering.

"I'm fine." CD forced a smile.

"CD, when I walked in, you were crying. Something's the matter." Nate said, trying to come up with an answer. "Oh, God. You took the pregnancy test today didn't you?"

"Yeah." CD sighed.

"And are you?" Nate asked.

"So, did Bennet check out?" Jinny asked, refering to the suspect that they just arrested.

"Umm, no. But we have one more suspect. Livingston." Angela told her. They had to work together on a count of Nate went home before the night shift started, and CD never showed up for work.

"Okay, I'll question him tonight." Jinny told her. "But first, pizza."

"What kind would you like?" Angela asked, knowing it would be weird, sonce she already ordered pizza for Jinny three times today.

"Umm, cheese and pepperoni." Jinny answered.

"Something normal? Well that's a first." Angela teased.

"With wipped cream, and maple syrup." Jinny added.

"Scratch that." Angela said, and then ordered the pizza. A little while later, it was delivered.

"Want some?" Jinny offered taking a bite.

"I think I'll pass." Angela said.

"Okay. Let me know if you do." Jinny said, munching on the pizza still.

"You'll be the first to know." Angela said. THen she decided to question Livingston, while Jinny was still eating.

A little while later, she came back, and Jinny asked "So, did we nail him?"

"No. His story checks out. It must have been Bennet." Angela told her.

"Okay. We'll arrest him first thing in the morning. But for now, i'm going home. I know you have to get home to your kid, and I have to get home to my kid so he doesn't whine, and I have to get home so that my other kid can digest all of this pizza that I ate today." Jinny explained.

"Alright. See you later." Angela waved.

"Bye." Jinny left.

Kate was still at home, in her bed that night. Then her phone started to ring.

"Hello." Kate greeted.

"Hi Cap. I just wanted to call and see how you were feeling." Raina told her.

"I'm still sick. I think I should just go to the doctor's tomorrow." Kate said.

"Sorry." Raina apologised. "Would you like some company for that trip?"

"Raina, you're just trying to get out of work." Kate informed her.

"Well, yeah, that too, but I wanna make sure everything's alright with you too. Trust me, if you weren't here, we'd never get rid of that Stacy bitch." Raina laughed.

"Thanks Raina." Kate said sarcastically. "And sure. I'll call you when I make the appointment."

"Okay. Talk to you tomorrow." Raina said. "And feel better, and don't forget to call, and-"

"Goodnight Raina." Kate hung up the phone.

"Well, Nate, there's kinda a reason why I got my tubes tied." CD started.

"Why?" Nate asked.

"Well, when Paul and I were still married, about four years ago, he had an affair, with this woman named Molly. I figured I'd get back at him by getting pregnant with someone else's child. I went to the sperm donor clinic, since I wasn't really in the mood for sleeping with someone else. A few months later, I went to the doctor's and she told me I was three months, so I was perfect. Six months after that, I had the baby. I told Paul that it wasn't his, and he told me that if I wanted to be with him, I had to give it up. I was stupid at the time, so I put my baby up for adoption." CD said, as she started to cry.

"Oh my God." Nate sighed. Then he held CD. "CD, listen to me. We're cops. If you want your..?"

"She was a girl." CD told him, as she continued to cry into Nate's shoulder.

"Well, if you want your little girl back, all you need to do is find out where she is. Use all of your skills. I'll get Jinny to cover for you, okay." Nate told her.

After CD had calmed down enough, she kissed Nate. "Thank you Nate."

"Anytime sweetheart." Nate flashed a smile.

"And would you mind helping me?" CD asked.

"Sure CD." Nate reassured her.

"I love you." CD said.

"I love you too." Nate said back.

The next day at work, CD explains the situation to Jinny, and Jinny agreed to help her.

"Okay, just make sure no one finds out." CD said, shooing her out on the case with Magda and Raina.

"Don't worry. I won't tell them....much." Jinny smiled.

"Haha." CD rolled her eyes. "Just make sure you have Raina call you when she and Cap are at the doctors. Then you call me."

"Oh, I hope I remember." Jinny joked.

"Yeah, you better. Now go!" CD ordered.

While Jinny and Magda were working on their cases, Raina and Cap were at the doctors, and CD was on the computers. Nate was helping, because Angela took the day off, since Chanel was sick.

"Did you find anything?" CD asked, after about two hours had passed by.

"Not yet." Nate asked. About another hour passed by. "CD, come here."

"What?" CD rolled her rolly chair over to him.

"Well, they have a bunch of DeLorenzo children running around at the San Deigo orphanage." Nate told her.

"Lets go." CD said.

After CD and Nate arrived there about two hours later, thanks to Nate's driving, and all of the traffic. After they both stepped out of the car, CD looked at him.

"What?" He asked innocently.

"You're driving. You drive slower than my dead grandmother!" She told him.

"Sorry." Nate apologised.

"Yeah, save the story for later. Let's just get inside." CD said, anxiously.

"Okay. Let's go." And with those words, they raced inside.

Once they were inside, the clerk greeted them. "Hello."

"Hi. I'm Inspector Basso, and this is my partner, Inspector -" Nate started.

"You can just call me Samantha." CD quickly inturrupted. "And we're here because we have a woman down at our Division whose name is Candace DeLorenzo, and she's looking for her daughter. Would you mind looking into some of these records?"

"Oh, sure. Now what did you say her name was?" The clerk asked.

"Candace DeLorenzo." CD said, a little annoyed.

"Might you have a picture of the child?" The clerk asked.

"Umm, we don't, but we know what she looks like." CD lied.

"Okay, well, we have a lot of files, so you guys can go look around, and if you do find your missing child or whatever you guys call it, then let me know, and it'll make both of our jobs easier." The lady told them.

"Thank you." CD said. "Let's go."

"Okay Sam." Nate said sarcastically, and followed her.

"You know Nate, you don't need to be so annoying all of the time. I think it's bad enought I had to listen to her, but now you, please, just cut it out." CD told him.

"Okay, jeeze. I'll cut whatever it is that I'm doing out." Nate said.

"Thank you." CD smiled. "Now, let's check out some of these kid's stories."

"Alright, first of all, she's how old?" Nate asked.

"She's four. She was born on the twenty first of July." CD explained.

"And CD?" Nate started.

"Yeah?" CD asked.

"You never told me her name. Did you ever get the chance to name her?" Nate asked.

"Yes." CD said. "I named her Olivia."

"That's cute." Nate smiled.

"Yeah, so is she." CD smiled. "You know, Paul actually thought it was his at first. So, I got to take her home. But I told him when she was five months old."

"Okay, eye color? Hair color? Any specific things we're looking for?" Nate started his inspector talk.

"Olivia had ababy blue eyes, her hair at that time was brunet, and I got her ears pierced. Paul told me it was a horrible idea, but right now I am so glad I did." CD smiled. "God I hope we find her."

"CD, we will. You have to remember to keep be strong, okay?" Nate told her.

"Okay." CD said, and hugged Nate.

"Now, let's go." Nate said.

As the two inspectors looked around for Olivia, the desk clerk, (I'll name her!) Britney, was trying to find a file on CD.

About three hours later, the two inspectors met back in the hall of the first floor.

"Did you find anything?" CD asked impatiently.

"Nope. You?" Nate asked.

"Damn. I guess we'll check up with the clerk, and if she doesn't have anything, we'll leave." CD told him.

"Alright." Nate said. They walked up to Britney's desk. "Do you have anything for us?" Nate asked.

"Well, actually, I have these three folders for you. You can take them or whatever, because they're just copies, so don't bother returning them." Britney told them.

"Thank you." CD said, and then they left.

In the car, Nate got bored driving around while CD was looking at a folder. "Did you find anything?"

"Well, sorta. I mean, she was there at a time I guess, but they transferred her. I mean, now we've gotta look up practically the whole world." CD said. "God. I hate this so much."

"CD, you're acting like a hormonal teenager. Just calm down. We will find her. I promise." Nate swore.

"Yeah, I now. I'm sorry, but this is so stressful." CD admitted.

"I understand, but the sooner you chill, and be cool about this, the sooner we will find Olivia." Nate told her. "And by the way, did you pick up the dry cleaning?"

"Nate! This is important." CD scolded him.

"Well, so is that. I mean, I need clothes to wear." Nate said.

"Alright, I'll do it tonight." CD rolled her eyes, just as they arrived at the Division.

After CD got off from work, she went to pick up Nate's dry cleaning. Once she got home, she realised she got an extra piece of clothes, but it wasn't Nate's. She opened it up anyways, and you'd never guess what he found.

"Hey babe." Nate greeted as he got home.

"Hi sweetie." She smiled, and came over to give him a quick kiss.

"Did you get my dry cleaning?" Nate broke the kiss.

"I never knew clothes to be more important then me." She said, pretending to be hurt.

"Well, they aren't....all of the time." Nate smiled.

"And yes, I got them. And I got an extra article, which doesn't belong to you, and you'd never guess what I found inside of the pocket." CD looked at him.

"What?" Nate asked.

"Yeah, I know. The one that he had the affair with." CD said. "But what's wrong with that? I mean, if he loves her?"

"CD, Molly Schroder, she's my ex-wife." Nate told her.

"Well, there's an even better reason to crash the party." CD smiled.

"To what? CD we can't crash their wedding day." Nate said.

"Well, you don't have to, but I will. Are you in?" CD asked.

"Yeah, I'm in. But first, there's something I want." Nate smiled.

"What?" CD asked, not really wanting to hear his answer, but she really didn't care at this point. She was way to excited.

"Do not make me dress up as a woman, and don't you dare dress up as a man." Nate told her.

"You're no fun." CD sighed.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~ (Well, a little while ago...)

Kate walked out of the doctor's office, about an hour and a half after she went in.

"So?" Raina asked, following Kate outside.'

"Nothing. I'm fine." Kate smiled.

"You aren't acting fine." Raina did the little quote thing with her fingers.

"Well, that's what my doctor said. And I'll be back at work tomorrow." Kate told her.

"Okay. Well then I guess you are okay. I mean, if you're coming back to work and all..." Raina said.

"Raina, I am fine, okay? I am perfectly heathy. So, is that a good enough answer for you?" Kate practically exploded.

"Alright, you're fine. That's good." Raina said, backing off a little.

"I'm sorry." Kate said. "I didn't mean to yell. I just, well, you know me. I get agrivated at the smallest things."

"Yeah, I know." Raina said.

A little while after they got back to San Francisco, Raina got annoyed with all of the silence in the car.

"Cap, are you sure you're okay? You really don't act fine." Raina said.

"Raina," Kate kept her cool this time. "I am fine, okay? I am perfectly fine. Now you on the other hand, I'm not so sure about, but I, for one, am fine."

Raina pouted. "I am too fine."

"Yeah. Okay. I think you have obsessive compulsive yapping disorder." Kate told her.

"She doesn't feel good. Give her a break." Raina rolled her eyes.

"Maybe she should go home." CD suggested.

"She just came back from her three day vaca." Jinny told her.

"Then maybe she should go get a second opinion from the hospital." Nate defended CD.

"Guys! Shut-up. She's trying to sleep." Magda scolded.

"You shut-up, ya Latin drama queen." Jinny yelled back.

"Hey. Chill out. I am trying to sleep." Kate said, coming out of her office for the second time today.

"Sorry Cap." They all said, almost all together.

"And if ya don't keep it down, my foot is gonna hafta meet your ass!" She made herself clear, and then went back into her office.

"What the hell's her problem?" Jinny started all over again.

"Shut up Jinny." Raina said.

Nate and CD were still trying to keep up on the Olivia case.

"CD, Nate, what are you two doing?" Kate asked, when she came out again. "And where's Jinny?"

"We're working on a missing child's case." CD explained.

"And Jinny went to find a suspect." Angela added.

"And why are you working with her, and you with her?" Kate asked.

"Well, it's just for these cases." Nate told her.

"And how come I don't remember giving you any case on a missing child?" Kate asked, as she got more dizzy. "You know what? Never mind. I need to go sit down."

"Okay. Are you feeling okay Cap?" Raina inturrupted.

"Yes Raina." Kate smiled, and then closed the door.

"So, anyways, where did Jinny go?" Magda asked.

"Why do you wanna know. No wait, lemme answer for you. You and Raina wanna gossip. Well, guess what? You can go screw yourselves!" Angela yelled and left.

"I hate her." Magda said.

"I don't. I'm starting to think we gossip a little too much." Raina said.

"Raina, honey, we so don't." Magda said, convincingly.

"Yes, we do. Now you need to grow up and get a life!" Raina yelled and left.

"And do you mind if we look around?" Nate asked.

"Go ahead." Casey smiled.

"Meet me back here in twenty." Nate smiled.

"Will do." CD smiled back, and they both went to work.

"So, Tiff, do you know Olivia?" CD sat down on her bed.

"Yeah. We're like sisters. She and I arrived her together, and we've lived in two different houses together. We've never been apart." The thirteen year old smiled.

"Can you tell me where she is?" CD asked.

"Yeah, she's up in the window sill." Tiffany told her.

"The what?" CD asked, confused.

"I'll show you." Tiffany said. "But you're not going to take her, are you?"

"Umm, I don't know." CD could sence the tension.

"Well, I was just wondering, because she doesn't feel safe without me. I mean, her dad didn't want her, and she's been abused." Tiffany told her.

"By who?" CD followed her to the window sill.

"Her dad." Tiffany said. "Here you go."

"Thanks." CD smiled. "I'm going to kill Paul."

"Huh?" Tiffany asked.

"Nothing." CD's nerves then kicked in.

"You know what? I think I'll go get her." Tiffany said, when she saw CD's hands shaking.

"Okay. Thanks." CD smiled.

After Tiffany came back with her daughter, she had already gotten Nate to stand with her.

"Say hi, Liv." Tiffany told her.

"Hi." Olivia said shyly, hiding behind Tiffany.

"Hi sweethart." CD smiled. She then looked up at Nate, and he nodded. "Olivia, we're going to need you to come with us, okay?"

"Do I have to Tiffy?" Olivia looked up at her so called big sister. She nodded. "I don't want to though. I want you to come."

Nate looked at CD. "You wanna bring her down to the office, and then we'll figure something out?"

"I have a better idea." CD smiled. "Umm, yeah, Olivia, Tiffany can come too."

"Really?" Both of the children asked.

"Yeah, let's go get your charts." CD said.

"CD, what the hell are you doing?" Nate asked.

"I've always wanted a big family." CD told him. "And I know you do you."

"Uh-huh." He kissed her. "I do."

"Good. Coz I think we're gonna adopt Tiffany." CD said.

"You and me?" Nate asked.

"Yeah. I mean, if you wanna." CD looked at him.

"Yep." Nate smiled.

Jinny is sitting at home, putting all of the pieces of her case together, but not going very fast at all. About three hours passed by with her just sitting there, calculating things, and then she figured it out.

"I've got it! I know where she is!" Jinny smiled, and then decided to call CD and Nate.

"Okay, see you tonight?" CD asked, and gave him a quick kiss.

"Bye Mr. Inspector." Olivia smiled.

"You can call me Nate." Nate smiled.

"Bye Nate." Both of the children called, as he turned to leave.

"Bye!" Nate turned to wave, and when he turned back around, he accidently tripped over some boxes, but didn't fall. The girls laughed.

"He's such a freak." CD smiled, like she was in her own little world, but then she tuned back into reality. "Okay, girls, let's go. You're finally getting out of this joint."

"Forever?" Olivia asked.

CD's eyes met hers, and then she promised "Forever."

"Why don't we go pack?" Tiffany suggested.

"Okay." Olivia replied.

As the children ran to pack their stuff, there was a fight going on across the state.

"Hey! Did you find her?" Nate asked, stepping out of his car.

"No, but I'm sure we can ask Stacy where she is." Jinny told him.

"What do ya mean?" Nate looked at her.

"Well, seems that she has contacted her over thirty times, just from last week." Jinny explained.

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go question our friend." Nate smiled.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Hey Miss Inspector girl." Olivia waved, with a stuffed rabbit in her hands, and her tiny suitcase in the other.

"You can call me, uhh, you can call me CD for now." CD said.

"Okay, CD." Olivia smiled.

"Here you go. Just make sure they get back to me in less than a week, and then you can go to court, and blah blah blah. You probably know the routine, so you can explain it to her." Casey said.

"Yeah." She took the folder. "Thanks."

"Yep." Casey smiled, and then got back to work.

"Okay, Liv, do ya know where Tiffany is?" CD asked.

"I'm here." Tiffany smiled, pulling her hair back. She had her bags in her right hand, and a small box in the other.

"Alright, let's get down to the Division." CD said.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Stacy, can you tell us why you were helping her? Or better yet, where she is?" Nate asked, keeping calm.

"Umm, no, and no. If I'm correct officer," She looked up, and pulled on the collar of his shirt, and then said, in almost a whisper "I have the right to remain silent."

"Damn right you do." Jinny got up and cuffed her. "Stacy Newland, you're under arrest for helping out in three pre-meditated murders, and obstruction of justice. You have the right to remain silent,..."

After Jinny and Nate had arrested Stacy, they brought her into the Division, and into Cap's office. They all recieved a weird look from her.

"What are you doing?" She wiped her eyes.

"Well, Stacy, here, decided to help out in some murders. Let's see, Gina's, my brother's, the other idiot who was there with them, hmm, Liz's so called 'partner', and then my best friend, who thanks to you and Mag, isn't dead." Jinny explained.

"She's been helping Liz?" Kate looked up at both of her inspectors as they nodded. "And she knows where she is."

"That's not the best part," Nate started. "She won't talk."

"Stacy, you little bitch, you better spill, or you'll be on death row faster than Raina can gossip." Kate told her.

"You can't put me on death row for that." Stacy flipped her hair. "I didn't kill them."

"Don't worry. You don't spill, and we'll get the evidence we need." Jinny warned.

"Yeah, sure you will." Stacy nodded.

"Well, at least tell us why you killed John Jr. and tried to kill CD, then." Kate suggested.

"Fine, I will. They got in the way." She flipped her hair again.

"You little-" Jinny jumped at her, but unfortunatly, Nate caught her, and brought her outside of the office.

"Jinny, you need to chill. I know she killed your brother, and tried to kill CD, but you need to act civilized. I know you'd like to strangle her more than anything right now, because I do too, but I'm not. You really don't want to get arrested for something like that, do you?" Nate calmly told her.

"No." Jinny answered more calm and quiet.

"Good. Coz I don't want you to, either." Nate said. "Come on, let's go get some answers."

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Are we almost there CD?" Olivia complained from the backseat.

"Well, thanks to the traffic, and considering how far away we actually are, it could be a little while." CD answered.

"Aww." Olivia sighed.

Once they reached the driveway, and got out, Olivia had already fallen asleep, and Tiffany had picked her up, in order to bring her into the house. When CD unlocked and opened the door, she set Olivia down, and then followed her new mom into the kitchen.

"So,"CD started. "What did you mean when you said Olivia's dad abused her?"

"Well, she has these scars on her arms and legs. And if I'm correct, you didn't abuse her, right?" Tiffany explained.

"What do you mean?" CD asked, pulling the strawberries and peanut butter out of the refrigerator.

"Don't get me wrong CD, you're a good lier, but you and her are almost identical. And I don't think you are her sister, either." Tiffany said, and then observed what CD had. "And what are you eating?"

"Strawberries and peanut butter. Want some?" CD asked, with her mouth full.

"No thanks." Tiffany smiled.

"And, yeah, I am her biological mother. It's a long story, I'll explain later. But are you sure that it wasn't one of the daycare workers who abused her?" CD asked.

"Yeah, there were scars there when she arrived." Tiffany told her. "And why in the world are you eating that?"

"Well, I've always wanted a big family. And, umm, I'm having a baby." CD smiled.

"That's so cool! Congradulations." Tiffany smiled. "You mean, you and that Nate guy?"

"Thanks. And yeah, me and the clumsy one." CD laughed.

"Is he Olivia's dad?" Tiffany got sort of quiet.

"Oh, God no." CD shook her head. "We got divorced a while ago."

"Good." Tiffany sighed, relieved.

"Yeah, coz if I was with him, right now, there'd be a nine millimeter gun to his head." CD smiled. "But, lemme tell you, it wasn't his daughter. It was someone else's. He just thought it was his."

"Then who's Olivia's father?" Tiffany asked.

"I'm not sure. I mean, I wasn't like a hooker or anything, and I certainly didn't sleep around, but I don't know who he is." CD explained.

"Oh, I gotta cha." Tiffany nodded.

~*~MEANWHILE~*~

"Okay, Ive gotta go, but watch her." Nate told Jinny, and then the gaurd.

"Yep." He nodded.

"I thought she wasn't expecting you home until you were off, which is not for another hour, by the way." Jinny asked, as she walked with him, outside.

"Oh, yeah. Would you mind covering for me?" Nate smiled.

"Sure, leave the pregnant lady to take care of your sorry ass." Jinny joked. "Yeah, I'll cover."

"Thank God for small favors." Nate smiled. "And thank you too. This is really important."

"Surprize dinner?" Jinny asked.

"Well, a Valentine's day surprize, hopefully." Nate told her.

"Okay, good luck." Jinny smiled, as she walked back inside.

Nate finally reached the hospital, and went inside.

Yeah...hold on

Nate drove home that night, from the hospital, looking kind of tired. It was Friday the 13th, the day before Valentine's, and he still had to pick out something for CD. None the less, now, get something for Tiffany and Olivia. While he was driving, he started to think about what the doctor at the clinic had told him. Nate knew he could try to pull it off, but it was a .01% chance that he was right. Although, Nate did get pretty lucky over the last few months...

CD was at home, fixing a treat with Tiffany, when Olivia finally woke up.

"Tiffany!" She screamed from the couch.

"I'm coming!" Tiffany yelled back. She went into the next room, and picked her up off the sofa. She brought Olivia back into the kitchen, and set her down on a stool.

"Can I help?" She asked, a few minutes later, hopping off the stool.

"Sure." CD smiled. "Let's wash your hands, and then you can start on the brownie mix."

"Okay!" Olivia smiled, and followed her. CD had already started to make a cupcakes. After Olivia dried her hands, she glanced over at what her "sister" was doing. "CD, what's Tiffany doing?"

"She's making some cake." CD told her.

"That's cool!" Olivia said. "Can we do this every night?"

"Well, every Friday night." CD smiled. "And by the way, next week, you and Tiffany will be starting school. She's gonna go to Junior High, and you'll go to Preschool."

"But I wanna stay here with you." Olivia whined.

"When I get fat enough, you can stay home with Aunt Jinny and me, but for now, I've gotta go to work, as does Jinny and Nate. But Nate and I will drop you off, and pick you up everyday." CD explained.

"Okay." Olivia sighed. "Now where do you all work?"

"Well, we all work at the Division. Don't worry. You'll have the number." CD told her. "And you can meet Aunt Jinny on Sunday, okay?"

"Yeah." Olivia said. "Now, is it fun, or annoying to work with Jinny and Nate?"

"Both." CD laughed.

After everyone got to work, Olivia picked up some of the mix with her fingers, and then licked a tiny bit of it. When she took it out of her mouth, she flicked some at Tiffany.

"Olivia, did you just flick me?" Tiffany questioned.

"Well, I was tasting it, and then I-" Some of her cake mix hit her. "Ew! That's gross!"

Olivia chucked another part, and it hit Tiffany. "Sick! Stop flicking!"

"You stop flicking!" Olivia yelled after being hit again.

"You flicked me first!" Tiffany screamed back, as more batter flew through the air.

"Everybody stop flicking!" CD shouted. "Look at your cake. Look at your brownies. Look at my house!"

"Sorry." They both said quietly.

"You're gonna be sorry when I get through with ya!" She picked up some batter, and threw it at them.

They continued to fight, until Nate walked through the door, and CD realized she threw some batter, and it hit him in the face.

"Woah! Easy killer!" He said, a little shocked from what just happened.

"Oh, God! Sorry Nate!" CD rushed over to him while the girls were practically rolling on the floor with laughter.

"Yeah me too." Nate said, getting a towel.

"For what?" CD asked.

"For not hiring a baby sitter to watch you four." Nate told her. "Well, the unborn one didn't do anything, so, only you three."

"Shut up!" She hit him in the back of the head.

"Ow!" Nate pouted.

"Well, you deserved it." CD told him. "Umm, how about you go upstairs and change, and hopefully by the time you come back down here, we'll have this place cleaned, and dinner started."

"Good idea." Nate smiled, and went on his way, as the girls started their mission.

"No kidding." Tiffany looked over at her, cleaning up her mess.

"I wasn't trying to be annoying." Tiffany smiled. "Just make you mad."

"Haha." CD stuck her tounge out at her.

"Ladies, no fighting, okay? We have to clean, not argue!" Olivia told them, trying to act like a mother.

"Yes mom." They both said at exactly the same time.

"That was weird." CD looked at her.

"Yeah, it was." Tiffany looked back. "But definetly not as weird as you..."

"Hey! It's not my fault!" CD defended herself.

"Hey,..mom," Tiffany tried to make it obious, but it was also sort of comforting for her. "Last time I checked, it was a group effort. Except it's the group called 'mom and dad' this time!"

"Well, it was all Nate's fault!" CD whined.

"Sure it was!" Olivia chimmed in, not sure what they were talking about.

"Yeah, mom. I'm sure it was..." Tiffany smiled.

"Okay, so maybe I helped. But only a little bit." CD smiled.

"Alright mom." Tiffany nodded. "But was it fun?"

"Tiffany, what's your middle name?" CD asked.

"Ann. Why?" Tiffany asked.

"Tiffany Ann! I swear, if you were my biological daughter, I would send you to your room for a week. But since you're new, I'm gonna let you off with a warning. No more asking personal questions like that!" CD told her.

"But how am I ever gonna get to know you, if I don't even know what you like?" Tiffany smiled.

"When I am done, you've got ten seconds to run." CD started scrubbing faster.

I know it has been, oh dear God, forever, but I made a promise that right after Bonnie's, Tracey's, and Nancy's birthdays were over I would post more! So here ya go. Sorry again.

About a week later, Tiffany had started 8th grade, and Olivia had started pre-school.

CD was dropping them off for their third day, of school, and then speeding off to work, when her phone started to ring.

"DeLorenzo." CD answered, letting out a sign of frustration.

"Sorry to ruin your day, but Nate just called. He said that he needs you home. Some kinda wedding emergency, or something." Kate explained, obiously confused.

"Oh, there must be something wrong in the big plan." CD said to herself.

"Who's wedding is it?" Kate asked.

"Uh, you wouldn't know them, but Nate and I have always been friends with the two. He met her in college, and they've been friends ever since, vice-versa." CD said, trying not to lie.

"That's so nice. Do you guys need any time off?"

"No. It's on a Saturday. But thanks anyways."

"Okay, I just got a call from Jinny. Gotta go." Kate hung-up.

CD then turned the car's direction, and went back to her house.

"Nate?" She called as she walked into the house.

"Yeah?" He yelled from the kitchen.

"Hey." She entered the kitchen, and gave him a kiss on the lips as her formal greeting. "What's up?"

"Well, to make a long story short, we have to get to the wedding." Nate said, grabbing her hand.

"What about Tiff and Liv?"

"Umm, we have about five hours to get ready, so I thought we could get them in a little while." Nate slyly grinned.

"Oh Nate. You know I'm not in the mood." CD sighed.

Nate gave her his best puppy-dog eyes. "You're not?"

"Come on Nate. I'm pregnant." Nate does his puppy-dog eyes again. "Okay, but just this time, and whenever I feel like it again."

"Yes!" Nate picked her up, and he brought her up to the bedroom.

Nate started to pry CD's shirt off, while she went for his belt.

"Hey! Easy there killer." Nate warned.

"Hurry up Nate. You got me in the mood, and now I need you. Badly." She pulled his jeans down, and felt the bulge through his boxers.

"Alright, alright!" He pulled her shirt off, and threw it to the floor. "Jeesh! Women!"

"Shut-up Nate." CD said, as she helped him out, and took off her skirt. "If you're nice, I'll leave the rest up to you." She purred into his ear.

"Nate is puttin a sock in it." He smiled, and then, after the first try, got CD's bra on the floor. Then he helped her out of her panties, and layed her down on the bed.

"Nate, hurry up, or I'll come without cha." CD whispered as Nate started to tease her.

Nate quickly came to a hault, and came into her. They rocked until they both climaxed, not once, but twice, and he collapsed onto her.

"God that was amazing." Nate said, still out of breath.

Once CD caught hers, she said "Don't get used to it."

"Aw, but I thought we were gonna do this more often now?" Nate offered.

"Maybe in your dreams." CD gave him a look like he had three heads, and then got up.

"Yes, in my dreams, but in real life too." Nate sat up, still in bed.

"Umm,...no." CD smiled fakely, and started gathering her clothes, and putting them back on.

"But CD..." Nate pouted.

"Nate, no." She put on her clothes, and then headed to the bed with his. "Here, and I've got something else for ya."

"Another round?"

CD gave him a look.

"A kiss?"

CD kept a straight face.

"A hug?"

CD held still as a statue.

"A hand shake?"

"None of the above." She reached into her night drawer. "Take your pathetic condoms." She threw them on top of his clothes, and patted her stomach. "It's not like they did us any good."

"You don't want this baby?" Nate asked softly.

"Nate, look at us. We can't even have sex without fighting, or one of us getting annoyed, not to mention a conversation. It's like you have to drag me into it, and I don't want to, and I do enjoy for a few minutes, but then go back to hating it. So, you tell me."

"Hon, I know that we can't, but don't you want a big family?"

"Not if it costs me everything else." CD shook her head.

"Maybe we should see a shrink about this." Nate suggested.

"Yeah, what's he gonna tell us? How do you feel about that, or haw can we make this better? They're supposed to be the experts on this stuff, but they never seem to help ya."

"Well, they've helped me, in some cases, but we need to decide weather or not we want this baby. Our baby." Nate looked into her eyes.

"Nate, how should I know? I mean, you have got some issues with sex, and I've got issues with God only knows what, and this is all because of the freaking hormones that come along with this damn kid. I just don't know if it's worth going through."

"Well, CD, I don't know what I should say. Should I lie to you, and say that I can make it all better, because I can't. Should I tell you that everything's gonna be okay, when I don't even know that it is? Should I tell you that we should have the baby, because I love it already? Should I tell you that we shouldn't have the baby, because we already have two kids? I know what I am going to tell you though, we need to sit down and talk when we don't have anything going on around us, and when we're not at each other's throats."

By the time Nate had finished, CD was already crying. "Should I ask you to hold me?" CD asked, crying harder as she fell into Nate.

Nate stroked her hair out of her face. "Shh." He wispered to her.

CD closed her eyes, but yet, tears kept streaming out. She finally looked up at Nate.

Nate stared back down at CD, and noticed that the tears were still flowing. He kissed each one away until she stopped crying a few minutes later. Then he softly kissed her lips.

"I'm so sorry Nate." CD wiped her face, but then noticed it was already dry.

"CD, you don't have to be sorry." He still held her.

"Yes I do." CD looked up at him.

"For what?" Nate asked.

"I ruined your shirt."

Nate smiled at that. "See, sweethart, this is you. Not the hormones, not the baby, just you."

"Well, I'm glad you like me that way, but you and I both know it won't last long."

"I know. But you can take some anger out on Paul and Molly at their wedding, if you wanna." Nate smiled.

"That would be great." CD agreed.

"Yeah, we better go pick the girls up."

"Okay. You wanna, or you want me to?"

"You don't wanna ride with me? I don't bite?"

"Yes you do. I practically have to dress like an eskimo because you left so many hickeys on my body."

"But that's sucking."

"And you add the biting in as an added bonus?"

"Yep." Nate smiled proudly.

"Well, I need a few minutes alone, so which ever you prefer to do."

"I'll go get 'em. You get our clothes ready."

"Alright." CD handed him the keys. And after he got dressed, they walked downstairs.

"I love you."

"I love you too." CD kissed him.

Nate left, and CD went to picking out some nice clothes for the girls that she had bought last week. After the court hearing. They celebrated by going on a shopping spree with Nate's money, because CD and Nate had gotten the adoption final. She finally got her daughter back, and another beautiful girl.

CD layed out a knee-length, light blue dress on Tiffany's bed, and a magenta colored top with a matching skirt on Olivia's.

Once Nate, CD, Tiffany, and Olivia arrived at the wedding, they took their seats, and afterward, the four went up to congratulate the two.

"Hi Molly." Nate smiled.

"Hi Paul." CD smiled the same sly smile that Nate did.

"Nate?"

"CD?" The couple questioned.

"Yep." They both answered.

"How did you..?" Molly looked at Nate, and cupped his face. NAte tried to pull back, but her grip was too strong.

"Get your hands off my man." CD slapped Molly's face.

"Ow! Paul." Molly looked at him now.

"That's it CD...." Paul jerked her hand, and went to punch her in the face, and Nate stopped him. "Hey little man-"

"Little? Last time I checked, I was taller than you." Nate smiled, and took CD back, and hugged her. "You okay babe?"

"Yeah. You?" CD smiled at Nate.

"I am now." They kissed each other. "God I love you."

"I love you too." CD kissed him again. "You know, we really must be going, but ah, congrats." She kept kissing him.

"CD, this is a church." Nate said between the kisses, as they stubbled into an empty room. It must have been a Sunday school room, because there were lots of toys.

"So?" She answered.

They began to strip each other down, and made passionate love for the second time that day.

When CD and Nate finally stopped, she got up, and grabbed all of the articles of clothing that they shed.

"Oh God, we forgot about the girls." Nate remembered, as he started to go faster.

"S**t!" CD started to go faster too.

When they finally got ready to get out, it had been ten minutes.

They found Olivia at the cake bar, but Tiffany wasn't around.

"Olivia, where's your sister?" CD asked her.

"Dunno. But this cake is better then the stuff we ate last Friday." Olivia said, liking her fingers.

"Yeah, I bet, let's go." CD lifted her up, and they went in search of Tiffany.

CD handed Olivia to Nate, because she wanted more cake, and he also wanted some, and then CD could look.

CD opened up the door to the balcony, that stands over the downstairs part of the church. Before doing so, she heard some slight moaning going on. She opened up the door, only to find Tiffany with a boy, who was about 14. Tiffany's shirt was on the floor, and when she looked up, CD gave her a look. Not a glare, but a look.

"Oh my God!" She threw on her shirt and kissed the boy once more. "Call me."

CD had already walked out.

Tiffany was running to catch up to her. "Mom, I can explain."

"Then do so. And make it fast and good. My patience with you is wearing thin today."

"CD, he and I have been together since we were eight and nine. We hadn't slept together yet, and we decided that today wasn't a good day. I just flashed him."

"You what?"

"CD, I'm sorry. I mean, you have every right to be mad at me, but please be glad that I didn't sleep with him."

"You don't have any idea how glad I am. But you are thirteen. You shouldn't be flashing anyone."

"I'm sorry CD. What else do you want me to say?"

"Nothing. I'm cool now, but you better thank Nate for that."

"Why? You get a little som'in while we were here? Or before? Or both?!"

"Tiffany Ann! Personal questions."

"Yeah, well, you asked me plenty of the personal questions just a minute ago."

"I didn't ask. I demanded. And when you walk in on Nate and I, you can demand answers from me too." CD said.

"Fine." Tiffany rolled her eyes. "So, you're not mad?"

"No. You're growing up, and I have to accept that."

"And you're not gonna tell Dad?"

"I'll have to get back to ya."

"So, I'm screwed?"

"Probably."

"Okay. Tell him if you must." Tiffany sighed.

Once they got home, it was already 9:30. Since they ate dinner, and did a little shopping, CD made Tiffany and Olivia go to bed.

"Hey babe." Nate walked into the bedroom, and found CD sitting on the bed, in the dark.

"Hey." She looked up, and watched Nate's every move, as he climbed into bed.

He glanced at the clock quickly. It was alrerady 1:00. Nate had taken a shower, and had caught up on some paperwork, before coming into bed with CD. He leaned over to kiss her, and she kissed back. But then the kiss's passion started to increase, but CD pulled away from Nate very quickly.

"Nate, there is no possible way. My legs are practically torn in half."

"But CD," He pouted, and gave her the eyes. Then he turned on the lamp on his side table so that she could see the attempt that he was making.

"No. Nate, I am really tired. I need to rest." CD's eyes brimmed with tears ready to spill over, so she looked away.

"What's wrong?"

CD still looked over at the wall.

"CD. Honey, what's wrong?"

CD looked toward him, and cried.

"It's the hormones again, huh?" Nate asked, as he wiped the hair that was falling into her face away. "We don't have to have this baby, you know."

"We can't."

"So, you don't want to?"

"Nate, we can't."

"What do you mean?"

"I, ah, I-I lost the baby." CD started to sob all over Nate.

"Oh God." He hugged her. "CD, it's not your fault."

"Yes it is! I mean, I said I didn't want it, and then we ruined Molly and Paul's day, not to mention we had sex in the church. How can you say it's not my fault? I'm a horrible mother." She nuzzled into Nate as she continued to cry.

"Candace! Don't ever say things like that! You went out, and you found your long lost daughter, and more! And even if you had said those things about our baby, he or she still would have died. You can't blame yourself for this."

"Nate, I'm sorry for killing your baby. And right now, the only person that I can blame for my baby dying is me."

"CD, don't. I can't listen to you say those awful things about yourself. You didn't kill our baby. You are the one that carried the baby. You nutured it, and you were the one that wanted it, even if I wasn't quite sure if I was happy or not in the beginning. So, if you're going to blame anyone, then you have to balme me."

"No. Nate I can't. You are the one I love, and I wouldn't ever do that to you, even if you were a serial killer."

"Well, now you know how I feel. Please, don't balme yourself. Are you even positive that you lost the baby."

"Yeah, I've been bleeding really heavily. I mean, I didn't even spot, and it's way more blood than-"

"Okay, sinple yes or no would have done."

"Sorry." CD looked up at Nate. "Do you think Jinny's sleeping?"

"Do you?"

"No. I'm gonna call her."

"Okay." Nate handed his love the phone.

CD dialed the number, and after two rings, Jinny picked up. "Exstead."

"Jin, it's CD."

"Hey babe. What's wrong?"

"I-I lost the baby." CD's eyes filled up with tears.

"Oh, CD. I am so sorry. You want me to come over?"

"Uh-huh."

"Okay, I'll right there."

"Thank you Jin."

"Anytime."

A little while later, Nate had fallen asleep, and Jinny and CD were downstairs talking.

"So, are you gonna go to the doctor's tomorrow?"

"Yeah. Would you mind coming?"

"Not at all."

"Jinny, thank you so much for being here for me."

"Was Nate there for you?"

"Oh dear God yes! He wouldn't shut it!"

"Okay, good."

"And how are you holding up?"

"Good. But Teddy hasn't been home in a few days, so it's been kinda lonely."

"You wanna stay here?"

"CD, I couldn't."

"Jinny, you are my best friend. You can come up, and we'll kick Nate out onto the floor. Then we can sleep in the bed."

"Are you sure he won't mind?"

"Why would he? He doesn't wake up for anything, unless he's excited. And I can assure you, there is nothing exciting about waking up tomorrow morning, going to work, and having to find out that my baby is definetly dead."

"CD, I know that this doesn't change anything, but I do know that you can get through this. Come on, let's go to bed."

"Alright. I guess I do need some sleep."

"Some?"

"Okay, like a good seventeen hours."

"Yeah."

Once they got up to Nate and CD's room, CD got Nate onto the floor, and she and Jinny climbed into bed.

At about 3:00 in the morning, CD felt someone waking her up.

"Nate, honey, I already told you, I don't wanna have sex again. I mean, we already had it twice. Now, lemme sleep."

"Ew!" Jinny said. "CD, it's me, Jinny."

"Oh, hey Jin. Are we in trouble already?"

"No. We're at your house."

"Ah, what time is it?"

"Almost three."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing. Are you up to feeling a baby move?"

"Honey, my baby died."

"Do you wanna feel mine?"

"Oh. Yeah, I do." CD placed her hand on Jinny's stomach, and the baby kicked it.

"It's the first time he kicked." Jinny smiled.

"Jinny! That's wonderful. Are you going to call Teddy?"

"Ah-huh. But I think I'm gonna wait til tomorrow morning."

"Okay." CD sat up and hugged her friend. "Congrats!"

"Thanks CD." Jinny hugged her back. "But, we have to go to sleep."

"Yep! Night."

"Night."

At about five in the morning, Nate awoke on the floor.

'What the hell?' He thought to himself.

Then he got up, and laid down in the bed.

When Jinny opened her eyes the next morning, she felt someone wrapped around her, like a sloth on a tree. She thought that Teddy was there, since she had forgotten about last night, so she rolled over and planted a passionate kiss on the person's lips.

Nate's eyes stayed closed, but he was awake. There was a small moan that rang in the back of his throat. The kiss got more intense, and as it did, he opened his eyes.

CD woke up at the sound of moaning. She rolled over, and found them in a liplock. "Oh God!"

"Oh my God!" He almost screamed as he pulled back.

"Nate?!" Jinny said in a whisper, completly out of breath. "Oh dear Lord! CD! I am so sorry."

"Okay, I don't even wanna know! Just get out."

"CD,..." Both Nate and Jinny said in unison.

"Out."

They both got up and left CD's bedroom.

CD threw herself back against her pillow. "My best friend and my boyfriend. Who wudda thought?"

Outside the bedroom, Nate and Jinny were screaming at each other, until CD went out there.

"Hey! Knock it off! It's bad enough I had to find you fools making out in my bed, now you have the nerve to wake all of my neighbors up?!" CD looked at them.

Nate leaned over to Jinny. "I think she's doin that all by herself." He whispered in her ear.

"What's that Basso?"

"Nothin."

"Well if it's nothin, why don't you tell me?"

"Shhhh, you don't wanna wake up the girls." Nate warned.

"I hate you. Jinny, let's go."

"I thought you were mad at her?"

"Well, guess what? I'm not. I'm mad at you. Now Jinny, let's go." CD said, rushing her out the door.

"Emotional dysfunction, I bet." Nate sighed.

When CD and Jinny arrived at the clinic, Jinny turned toward her.

"CD, listen, you shouldn't be mad at Nate for kissing me. It wasn't his fault. I thought he was Teddy, we kissed, we heard you, and I remembered that I was at your house. I am so sorry."

"Jinny, don't worry. I'm just mad at him because I lost my baby, and I'm a little upset."

"Then why aren't you mad at me?"

"Because, Jin. You're the one who offered to go with me, and Nate didn't. You're the one who was gonna be my pregnant buddy, not Nate, and you're my best friend, not Nate."

"Well Nate's your boyfriend, not me."

"But still. That's what boys are for." CD smiled.

"Alright, but just make sure that you're not mad at him for very long. Otherwise, you and him'll get put back together on the job." Jinny smiled. "And I know you'd miss me too much to go back to lover boy."

"Miss DeLorenzo?" The doctor called.

CD and Jinny stood up.

"Which one of you is Candace?"

"CD, and that would be me." The blonde smiled.

"Okay, CD, follow me." She let CD into a room, let her change into a gown, and then into another room. Jinny followed behind "What seems to be the problem?"

"I had a miscarrige last night. Or so I think. It was too late to come here, and plus, I didn't really feel like doing anything." CD explained.

"Alright, lemme check ya out, and we'll go from there." The doctor said, and CD motioned for Jinny to hold her hand.

As the doctor examined her, CD thought about calling Nate. "Do you think I should call him?"

"Yeah, after this is over."

"Okay."

A few minutes later, the exam was done, and the doctor let her get dressed. Jinny turned around as she did.

Just as she finished dressing, the doctor walked in.

"CD, you did indeed have a miscarrige, but we ran a few more tests, and it turns out, you are pregnant."

"Huh?" Both Jinny and CD said.

"You were prengant with twins, one died, but you still have one growing inside of your uterus."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

CD and Jinny both smiled at each other.

"You should call Nate."

"I'm on it." CD smiled, and picked up her cellphone.

"CD. Long time no talk."

"We need to talk. I have to tell you somethin."

"I lost the baby." CD told him.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. But there is good news."

"What could possibly be good about losing our baby?"

"There's another one."

"What?"

"Yeah. She said they were twins, but one died, and one's still alive."

"That's great, well, sorta. But listen CD, I gotta go. Cap's got me on the clock."

"Okay." CD hung-up.

"So?" Jinny asked.

"He's fine. Everything's okay."

"Good." Jinny said as her phone started to ring. "Hold on. Exstead." She answered.

"Hey Jin." Magda said.

"Hey Mag. What's up?"

"Well, I guess it's the season for babies."

"Why?" Jinny asked a little confused.

"I'm pregnant."

"Congratulations!"

"Thanks."

"How far along?"

"Uhh, three months."

"Oh. You're just as far along as CD."

"Yeah." Magda rolled her eyes. "But, that's what I was callin for."

"Okay, I'll let cha go." Jinny hung-up.

"What did she want?" CD asked coldly.

"She's pregnant."

"Figures. As soon as I get pregnant, she gets pregnant." She rolls her eyes.

"Sorry. And there's more bad news, and some good news."

"Good news?"

"It's probably not Gabe's. Probably not Jonah's either." Jinny and CD both smiled.

"Probably not. Bad news?"

"She's as far along as you."

"Goddamnit! Why?!"

"I dunno? Safe sex issues?"

Jinny and CD walked into work that morning, after CD's appointment, only to find Nate spinning around in his chair, Raina reading Cover Girl, and chewing bubble gum, Magda, well, she must have been out with her boyfriend, Angela fixing her hair, and their Captain was no where to be found.

"Hey you guys." Jinny smiled, and sat down, across from CD's desk.

"Hey." Angela and Nate replied.

"How was it?" Raina finally looked up.

"What?" CD asked, taking her seat.

"The court hearing."

CD looked over at Nate, and Nate shrugged.

"It went well, the guy got life, with no bail." CD said, making things up as fast as she could.

"Oh, good." Raina smiled, and went back to reading.

Just then, Kate walked in.

"Mornin Cap." Jinny greeted.

"Exstead, my office." Kate said, and walked into her office.

"Damn! It's only," Jinny looked down at her watch. "Nine, and I'm already in trouble with her." She got up, and walked into Kate's office.

"Jinny, were'd your partner go to?" Kate asked, as she held her hands in her head.

"I honestly don't know, Cap. CD and I were at the doctor's this morning, so,..." Jinny trailed off.

"Okay. And why are you so damn happy all of a sudden. Did you win a car, or what?"

"No. Mood swings."

"Oh. Okay. See ya." Kate practically pushed her out the door.

"What'd ya do?" CD asked.

"Nothin. She wanted to know were Mag was."

"Did ya tell her that she was out with her boyfriend?"

"Nope."

"Did she tell you why she was so upset?"

"No. I didn't know she was upset."

"Well, she looked it." CD sighed. "I'll go talk to her."

When Kate heard the knock on the door, she almost jomped out of her seat. She was half asleep, until the visitor woke her up.

"Come in." Kate said still sleepy.

"Cap, how ya feelin?" CD asked, after shutting the door, and sitting down.

"Fine. How are you?" She put on her best fake smile.

"Kate, you don't look fine, no offence."

"Yeah, well, I am."

"Uh-huh. So, what's wrong?"

"Nothing. Why would you even think that?"

"Because we've been friends for fifteen years. I know when somthing's bothering you. You know, it's not good to keep things inside."

"CD, you scare me."

"I try." CD smiled. "But seriously, what's goin on?"

"Okay, uh, I'm pregnant. And it's Louis's. And I'm four months along." Kate said.

"You are?"

"Yeah. Don't look so shocked."

"Sorry. Is that good or bad?"

"Uh, good, I guess. Except for the role Louis pays. How am I gonna tell this one, well, you're father raped me, so you were a mistake?"

"You don't have to say that. You can say something like, you know who he is, but you don't know where he is. I dunno."

"Well, you try telling that one to your kids."

"Don't worry, things are going to be fine. Me, you, Jinny, and now Magda," She rolled her eyes. "Are going to be pregnant together."

"Magda?"

"Yep. I'm not surprized that slut got knocked up. And I wouldn't be surprized if it wasn't Gabe's or Jonah's."

Kate had to bite her tongue, to keep from laughing at that. "Alright, get outta here before I have to laugh. And thanks CD."

"No problem Cap." CD smiled.

"And CD?"

"Yeah?"

"This stays between us for now."

"I can't even tell Jinny?"

"No."

"Angela?"

"Nope."

"Nate?"

"I don't think so."

"Raina?"

"Not right now."

"Magda?"

"Definetly not."

"How 'bout Stacy?"

"Lemme think about that for three seconds...one...two...three-no."

"Okay." CD smiled, and stepped out of the office.

The next few hours passed by, and it was pretty slow.

"Okay," Kate came out of her office. "I've gotta go, but if you need anything, call my cell."

"Alright." Everyone replied, and CD stood up.

"Where ya goin? Got a hot date?"

Kate stared a hole through her head.

"I'm guessing that's a no?"

"Yeah. I'm going to the doctor's, you ******."

"Oh. Oh yeah. Jees, I'm smart today!"

"Uh-huh."

"Alright. Have fun. And if you have an ultra sound, get me a picture, please?"

"Sure." Kate smiled, and left.

"What was that all about?" Jinny asked.

"Nothin. She just has to go to the doctor's, so I asked her to call if there was anything wrong."

"Okay."

As the hours kept passing, it was finally time for the detectives to go home.

"C'mon babe." Nate said on the phone.

"I'm on the elevator. Now,...goodbye!" She shut the flip phone. "I'll tell ya, Jin, if Nate and I ever break up, and you two get together-"

"You won't, and we definetly won't."

"Just sayin. You will kill him."

"If you don't first?"

"Yeah."

"Bye CD."

"Bye Jin."

CD got in the car, and Nate practically sped off.

"Nate!"

"What?"

"Slow your ass down. God! What are you going? Mock ten?"

"How fast do you want me to go Gramma? Five?"

"Slow it down a little bit, hot shot."

"Okay, but I wanna get home so you and me can have a little fun."

"Nate, tonight's fun, consists of saying good night to the girls, you making me dinner, while I call Kate, and then us going to bed."

"That's not fun."

"Maybe not for you."

"I hate you CD."

"Aww! I love you too!"

Nate and CD arrived home, and they said good night to Tiffany and Olivia, and Nate headed to the kitchen, while CD headed to the bedroom. She picked up the phone, and dialed Kate's number.

"Hello." Kate said after three rings.

"Hi Cap. How'd it go?"

"Well, I got an ultra sound, and that's all I'm gonna say for right now. But, I'll let you see the picture tomorrow."

"Ooh! I'm excited. Yeah, umm, moving on. So, when's your next ultra sound?"

"Umm, eight months, unless something comes up."

"That's aways away."

"Yeah, but I can wait."

"Umm-hmm. Okay, I've gotta go, but, don't forget the picture, and I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Okay bye." They both hung-up.

The next morning at work, Kate called CD in, and she looked at the picture.

"Kate, I can't see the baby."

"Okay, well, here's one." Kate pointed to a blob.

"One?"

"Yeah. Uh,...twins."

"Oh my God! You must be so excited."

"Well, yeah."

"That's great."

"Thanks. Do you see the other baby?"

"No."

"Okay, here." Kate pointed to another blob.

"Yeah, it's supposed to be between 140, and 160. Or something like that. I remember from when I was pregnant with Amanda."

"So, how much does labor hurt? I mean, people have told me that it felt like they were being ripped apart."

"Yeah, sorta. All you have to do, is remember to breathe and you'll be fine."

"Okay." CD changed the subject. "When's your due date?"

"Ahh, the seventeenth of July." Kate smiled. "When's yours?"

"The fifth of August. I can't wait to get this thing out of me."

"Me either." Kate agreed.

"Do you know the sexes?"

"Ah, a girl, and the other one, they don't know yet. The little brat had it's legs crossed."

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"Don't be. I wanted it to be a surprize anyways."

"Hey, are you me and Jinny gonna have our baby showers together?"

"Maybe. What about Mag?"

"Doesn't she get enough money from her hooker position to pay for everything?"

Kate laughed. They both knew that she was nothing but a cheap whore.

"Yeah, well, we should at least ask. But we'll wait til she hates us first."

"Sounds good to me." CD smiled.

Just then, Nate walked in.

"Hey ladies."

"I hate you Nate." CD said and stormed off to her desk.

"I thought she liked you?"

"Me too."

"Do you know what cha did?"

"Not a clue. You?"

"I'm as clueless as you are." Kate said, and with that, went back to her office.

"CD, I thought you liked me."

"No. Not particularly."

"Well, good. Coz I don't like you either."

"Great. Oh, and Nate, I won't be home tonight. I'll be with Jinny. You can either watch the girls, or you can tell me to take them."

"Oh, no. They're staying with me."

"Fine." CD said, and grabbed her coat. Then she went to Kate's office. "Cap, I'm gonna head out. I'm not feeling so well all of a sudden."

"Okay. You and Nate okay?"

"Not really. But it doesn't have to do with him."

"Alright. See ya Monday."

CD left, and drove over to Jinny's place. Jinny let her in, and they began to talk.

"So, what are ya doin here? I thought you had to work."

"Well, Nate pissed me off, and I can't be there with him."

"What'd he do?"

"I don't know. Just his precence makes me furious."

"Yeah, I know. I get like that with Teddy sometimes."

"Sometimes? Jin, I get like that with Nate every day."

"Ooh. I wouldn't wanna be in his shoes right now."

"Well, the ******* deserves it. He knocked me up."

"Didn't you wanna get pregnant?"

"Yeah, but I still hate him. I mean, yeah, I want this baby, but he didn't have to do it the minute I told him."

"Alright. CD, why don't you go lay down, and I'll make you some breakfast."

"Can't we just go to McDonalds, and then we can go to the Fun Spot."

"CD, why do we need to go there?"

"You don't want to?" CD's eyes filled with tears.

Seeing this, Jinny responded "Of course I do."

Once they arrived at the Fun Spot, CD decided she wanted to play laser tag.

"CD, you really want us to fit into those stupid vests?"

"They have extra large."

"Okay. Fine. We'll do it. But don't be surprized when I beat you."

They went in, and when their time was up, Jinny had beaten CD majorly. CD decided to get revenge on her by tackling her. They wrestled until the workers came in, and had to pry CD off of her friend.

"Ladies, we're going to have to ask you to leave."

"But I'm hungry." CD wined.

"Candace! We just ate. Like twenty minutes ago."

"Alright, lets go." They were dragging them out, and CD's guy slightly let her hand go, and she darted to the snack bar, and started ordering everything on the menu. Literally.

Once she placed her order, the guard came over, but before he could catch her, the food came. Then, as he was halling her back out, she grabbed every morsel.
