Hey Lauren. The program I use is called Morpheus.. It's free. When it's connected it works great... but it rarely connects. Anyways I'm looking for a new program to use so this thread will be useful to me, too :p

Hey, Lauren! :woohoo:

Thanks a lot. Just went to Morpheus, and I'll definitely download it! :D

Just to be sure...six months from now, I'm not gonna get arrested for using this site, right?

Yeah....If it's free, it's illegal.

Like others have mentioned, I believe all the free music downloading places are illegal. Alot of them also have spyware, which is definitely something you should stay away from. I don't know if you're with AOL or not, but they have something called aol@musicnet, and for as low as $8.95 a month you can legally download hundreds of thousands of songs. Unfortunately you need a credit card for that, which I don't at this time. My only other suggestion is Mp3.com. I believe they are legal, but I can't guarantee that.

As s****y as r&b & rap music sounds today, downloading music should be free. Artists are complaining that people need to stop downloading their music for free. Well if artists would go back to making tight music again, people would stop downloading.

I haven't gone on Kazaa in months, it freezes my computer and changes my homepage to some porn site and keeps popping up all this garbage. Spyware took it over. I've been using WinMX even though it's SO hard to get something to download. I usually just keep it open all night for it to finish.

I've heard of SoulSeek, I don't know if it's any good though.
