3rd Rock from the Sun or Mork & Mindy?

In the late seventies, the three best comedians on the planet were Robin Williams, Andy Kaufman, and Steve Martin. By casting one of them - Williams - in the lead role, Garry Marshall made "Mork and Mindy" the funniest sci-fi sitcom of all time, for all time! Everything else, including "Third Rock From the Sun," can't hold a candle to the show that introduced us to Robin Williams, comedy's greatest anarchist! :lol:

i like them both but i picked 3rd rock

I don't like either one a lot, but I will go with Mork and Mindy.

Mork & Mindy. 3rd Rock From The Sun did have some good episodes but I thought most of the characters were really annoying. And I've heard several stories that John Lithgow's an arrogant jerk in real life!

I havent ever seen any episodes of that.........

Both good shows but 3rd Rock from the Sun has a stronger overall cast.

for what? funniest? most inventive? best acting?Besides Robin Williams, the 3rd Rock cast (at least the four Solomons and Mary) are better actors and funnier. The brother and sister team at the diner added absolutely nothing to Mork and Mindy. Mindy's family is better than them, but Pam Dawber while beautiful is there for reaction to Mork's antics. Tom Poston is great in Newhart, while I like seeing him anywhere his character doesn't have the same it factor here. I can't stand Exidor, and Mearth is on the annoying side (not that 3rd Rock is perfect, I don't like the Dubceks there).

I liked Mork and Mindy when it was new but now as an adult, I p refer Third Rock.

I voted for 3rd Rock From the Sun. Robin Williams edges out John Lithgow as far as the lead characters go but my vote was decided by the personal opinion that 3rd Rock had a much stronger ensemble cast.
