Hello, all! :wave:

Alrighty...I have a question for all the kids here...teenagers, mostly.

As you know, there are many cliques these days, but I was wondering which one the majority of the posters here belong to.

(Just in case I'm not being clear, I'm thinking groups like the preppies, the nerds, and the people somewhere in the middle.)

I'm definitely somewhere in between. Some of my friends are leaning toward the preppy side and some are kinda nerdy...but I don't care! All in all, I'm probably dead smack in the middle.

How about everybody else?

I don't know... I hate cliques. I'm not really in one. I hang out by myself a lot.

Yeah, I hate 'em, too. :mad: I actually make fun of the "extremist preppies" a lot! It's mean, but...it's just so much fun! :D

I'm not in a "clique" I hang out with my only friends Tim, Peter, Ryan, Tommy and Chris. I'm almost friends with everyone but hate them :lol: I wish I grew up in the 50's :mad:

i have friends..and stay with them. i dont try and make new ones and im happy with the ones i have.

I don't get the whole clique thing- my school's pretty laid back about that in general- there aren't any real outcasts or popular groups or whatnot- I have my friends and I get along with just about everyone. I wouldn't label myself "preppy" but my one friend describes me as "preppy classy-girl glam" which we gvenerally laugh about.

I don't know where I am exactly but I am perfectly happy wherever that may be.

I have friends in every grade in highschool, don't know what catagory that fits in though, I mean everyone knows everyone at my school. lol.

No, I'm not cool at all. I'm really shy and I never talk and people either don't know I exist, or think I'm some freak...except for the few friends I have who probably get annoyed with me because they don't understand how I'm so shy and I'm just really hard to undertstand. Just staring at me though, most of the clothes I wear people consider "prep"...uh...screw that...still, I'd say I'm "in the middle" I've always been that way and it's because I worry too much about what people will think of me so I keep it safe and don't talk at all...which is why I hate myself so much but ah well...someone has to live that life.

My school was like that. The jocks wouldn't talk to the choir kids.

I'm smart like the nerds, but cool like the popular kids. So I would say I'm in the middle, I don't do the clique thing anymore, although it was fun in junior high, but I felt bad for it.

Okay I already replied, but I thought of something, so too bad.

See I'm in honors classes and in my school, all the honors kids kind of stick together. I'm friends with like 2 people who aren't in honors. Most of us have been together since 6th grade...some of us since 2nd. We've never really associated with anyone else cuz we all have the same classes. And I'm not saying we're all "nerds" or whatever because there are a lot of so-called "popular" people in my classes....but we're all friends. Pretty much.

In Juniour high you have to do the clique thing. My clique is in the middle. See we're a mixture of punk and prep. Most of them are my friends but some of them bug me. It's weird and I hate being labeled.

In the words of my brother I'm a "non-preppy prep"

Well,I'm no kid,but I really don't give a damn about being cool.IMO,people who aren't "cool",are much nicer.Besides,what is considered,to be "cool",to me,is stupid and trashy.

I wish I were so lucky. :( The preppies in my school have totally just...gone off the edge...but the nerds are really nerdy. I get good grades, so some consider me nerdy, but whatever. I'd way rather be smart than cool. :cool:

me too, i always go to in the library during lunch and go on the internet. its fun.

At the moment, my school is way too structured. It's a "privilege" that we're even allowed to sit next to our friends at lunch! :rolleyes: I only have to deal with those rules for a few more months, though, and then on to high school! :D I think HS is gonna be way different. :p

I hate almost everybody in my school except for my small group of friends. I am defenitely in the middle---My friends an I call ourselves the midtownians. I hate preppies with a passion and I think nerds need to get a life! I get good grades and everything, but I hate school! (it probably sounds like I hate everything--I don't--i get along real well with my family) I wish we could download knowledge into our brains while we sleep so we wouldn't have to go to school and deal with all the work and all the cliques!!

I'm not in school anymore or anything, but I never was cool. In fact, I never fit into any groups. I still don't. I'm ****ing unique so I'm cool in my own way because I'm not like everyone else. Who needs cliques? Be yourself.

Come to think of it usually the popular kids end up being nobody after high school and everyone else usually comes out on top. Don't commit yourself to groups they mean nothing.

Yes, my friend, that is the way to go. dont be a prep (being preppy is okay... but yeah, just dont be judging people by what they wear, trying to fit in with the crowd, etc etc) and dont give a crap if people think youre nerdy. if you get good grades youre gonna be the one with the good job and lots of money when you get out of school.

:nod: Once schools out, you never see half the people anyways, and its nice. Meangya, I can honestly name 10 girls in my grade that have gotten knocked up. :rolleyes: Most of which were 'cool'.

When I was in HS, people thought I was weird because I didn't like any of the same things they did- I liked older shows, they didn't, that kinda stuff. And I was soooo excited when Vicki Lawrence came to town, and I was going around school saying, "YEAAAAAAA! I'M GOING TO SEE HER!" and they were like, "Who's she?"

I used to think people would make fun of me because my favorite show was Three's Company...and then I found out one of my friends also liked it too. Now most of my friends know I'm obsessed with Three's Company but don't care because a lot of them like it too.

My friends thought I was weird because I liked Bewitched and the Mary Tyler Moore Show, which really didn't matter because they thought I was weird to begin with. Although, some thought it was cool because I like The Golden Girls. Pretty much everyone likes that show.

I'm out of high school and there aren't any cliques where I am. It doesn't matter what clique you were in at school b/c once you get out in the real world nobody gives a **** weather you were a geek or the prom queen. Where ever you end up working, they're not going to care how popular you were. I work in a grocery store now, and the prom queen works in the deli, so yeah..
There is life beyond high school. Don't worry about what clique you're in, just have fun. It goes by fast enough as is.

Even thought I'm not in school,I'd like recall my teen years.
It was rough but my classmates were really bad.They were
all disrespectful,talking when other people talking,never listened
to teachers or anyone else in authority,I fit in with a few close
friends but we always got in trouble.Sometimes it was fun because we do anythings together like look in the teacher's
drawers when they left the room,we would steal from them
if they had candy in them,almost all the teachers had candy.We
also would lock out the teacher out of the classroom when there
was a test so that everyone had a chance to cheat!

Anyways, in my school, it's alot of cliques. Not as bad as last year, but whatever. I'm in a sort of clique, I guess. But we're all different. It's not like every single one of us goes to the Carribean and stays at the Atlantis over spring break (which is what every single prep in my school does, its SO weird). I mean, we're all friends with people outside of our "group", but not like close friends. When we do things at each other's houses, it's just us. But gahh I can't even begin to explain how different we are... okay, I'll label us...

That's not all of us. But just goes to show that emo kids, sports freaks, depressed people, and whatever I am can hang out.

There's cliques at my school. But the only people who worry about them are those who would be labeled as "preppy" in other schools, but are only know as "jerks" around here.
