View Full Version : Snow sports
Kay Scarpetta 12-12-2003, 08:35 PM Ah... my favorite time of the year. Ski season!
Anybody here ski or snowboard? If you live in New England, what mountains do you go to?
Brian 12-12-2003, 08:41 PM I went on a ski trip last year and it was the first time I had every been in snow in my life. That was 16 years. I liked skiing. I had trouble getting ones that fit because I chose a size too small and my feet were getting really sore and tight. I was with a group taking lessons and I kept getting behind. I was also getting very tired and dehydrated. I went over to a group of ski instructors and showed them this card I had identifying me as an autistic and how they should deal with me. They decided to give me individual lessons. That was the first time I ever used that card. It is also the only time I have used it, too. I think skiing isn't my thing. I'd do it again if given the opportunity but I don't live in a place close to snow. I'd probably have to get lessons all over again.
AllIWantIsYourClutch 12-12-2003, 11:45 PM I've never been skiing. I live a sheltered life.
Mr. Stefani 12-12-2003, 11:47 PM I know how to ski and snowboard..I snowboard more, though.
We're going on a skiing trip next week for a school trip.
Swimfan85 12-13-2003, 12:22 AM yah, I learned to ski first, and when I got older I learned how to snowboard, and I like to snowboard better, a small mountain is like 15 mins from me, so I generally go there, even though its a hill, its still easy. But if I like go on a family trip, or with family friends I go to Stratton, VT which is the best mountain as far as I am concerned.
Pitooey 12-13-2003, 12:28 AM I love snow sports of any kind. I've skied and Speed skated. I use to go upstate here in NY but I haven't gone in a couple of years. Hopefully I'll go skiing sometime in Feb.
