Mr. Television 12-12-2003, 08:44 PM Perfect Strangers Brian 12-12-2003, 08:51 PM Family Matters. I grew up watching that show and I have always loved it. I also like Step by Step but not as much as Family Matters. Urkel's famous line, "Did I do that?" never got old. I thought it was funny every time. Brent88 12-12-2003, 08:53 PM Same here Brian. I can still watch Family Matters over and over again today and it never gets old, there would very few episodes I didn't like, which is rare for a sitcom. I also liked Full House and Step By Step, but not as much. I also didn't really watch those two shows in their original run(just repeats now) barwars 12-12-2003, 09:50 PM I agree, Family Matters was the best. Actually.... ever show you listed (with the exception of Sabrina) is great IMO. Brent88 12-12-2003, 09:51 PM Originally posted by barwars88 I agree, Family Matters was the best. Actually.... ever show you listed (with the exception of Sabrina) is great IMO. I tried to list the most popular sitcoms from the late 80s and into the 90s(since IMO that was when TGIF was the best) barwars 12-12-2003, 09:54 PM George Lopez is the only current TGIF show that I like. (but I dont catch it that often.... watching TV on Fridays isnt as fun as it used to be) Brent88 12-12-2003, 09:59 PM I don't really like the current TGIF. It's nothing like it was in the early and mid 90s! Chad22 12-12-2003, 10:26 PM Favorite TGIF Shpow ever was Boy Meets World, Although i liked just about everything theyve ever shown on TGIF. I Like all the current TGIF Shows Alot except Life With Bonnie, And even that isnt too bad. musicradio77 12-12-2003, 10:34 PM "Full House" is the best show in the world. Christopher 12-12-2003, 10:35 PM Hope & Faith. dandelion wine 12-21-2003, 09:33 PM Perfect Strangers spunkygirl 12-22-2003, 02:16 AM I think my avatar speaks for itsself :) spunkygirl 12-22-2003, 02:22 AM Originally posted by Captain Juke "N" Jive Favorite TGIF Shpow ever was Boy Meets World, Although i liked just about everything theyve ever shown on TGIF. TGIF show too :) Bugiddle 12-22-2003, 03:08 AM I liked most of the shows listed, except for Sabrina, which I never got into. But Perfect Strangers was my favorite. I loved the slapstick comedy and Balki, especially! David 12-22-2003, 11:57 AM Step by Step or Full House SBTB Geek 12-22-2003, 03:20 PM Wasn't "Mr. Belvedere" on TGIF at one point too? Brent88 12-22-2003, 05:25 PM Originally posted by SBTB Geek Wasn't "Mr. Belvedere" on TGIF at one point too? Yes. BLT 12-23-2003, 04:09 PM I'm not sure, but I think that Mr. B left Fridays right before ABC chrisdtened their friday lineup as TGIF. My vote is for Perfect Strangers, with Mr. Belvedere closely behind and Family Matters as a distant third. warezfrk 12-24-2003, 11:23 AM DJ was hot! Agent 99 12-27-2003, 08:42 PM I voted Full House, but I did love Perfect Strangers. That show was my first TGIF fave, actually. automatic princess 12-28-2003, 11:10 AM Family Matters followed closely by Boy Meets World. LucyFan 01-01-2004, 11:09 PM Full House, Family Matters, Step by Step, Perfect Strangers & Baby Talk were my favorite TGIF shows. It's really hard to pick the best out of these five because they were pretty much equal in quality, IMO. With that said, I will not vote. factsoflife 01-06-2004, 02:24 AM I always liked "Just The Ten Of Us" but currenty "Hope and Faith" is my favorite. Joeylova87 01-06-2004, 03:30 PM Full House, Step By Step, and Boy Meets World That Girl 01-06-2004, 05:11 PM Step By Step Especially enjoyed watching Patrick Duffy on that show. He was a major babe with a sense of humor. tvfanfor1980's 01-07-2004, 08:49 PM My fav. TGIF sitcoms.............. 1. Family Matters 2. Baby Talk 3. Going Places (I know if I had a sitcom, the title would not be going places for me. I live in a very small and boring town.) 4. Dinosaurs *MIBabe03* 01-09-2004, 08:17 PM Perfect Strangers. Hands down! dawsongirl 01-09-2004, 11:24 PM Full House. I used to watch all those on that poll at one time though. ABC had the best sitcoms in the late 80s/early 90s. dawsongirl 01-09-2004, 11:26 PM Originally posted by barwars88 George Lopez is the only current TGIF show that I like. And it all started in 1985. And it does not include Full House or 20/20. However, it started with Webster at 8pm & ended with Spenser: For Hire at 10pm. Here's the schedule. Mrgman 12-21-2005, 02:07 PM 1 step by step 2 Boy meets world 3 full house Fonzarelli 12-21-2005, 05:00 PM I've only seen Full House and Boy meets World. The latter is my favorite. Classicshowsgurl15 12-21-2005, 06:53 PM I put Step by Step, but I like Family Matters, Full House and Boy Meets World too. 80sTrivia 12-21-2005, 09:31 PM Boy Meets World... I was totally in love with Topanga! Michael72581 12-21-2005, 09:42 PM Perfect Strangers Full House Step By Step Chain Gang Member 12-22-2005, 04:21 PM I enjoyed watching all of them as a kid,but I liked Step By Step,Boy Meets World & Family Matters Buffyboy323 12-23-2005, 02:30 PM Favorite at that time was "Full House", but now I think "Family Matters" was the BEST TGIF sitcom. (Step By Step coming in 2nd)..... The last sitcom ever that I watched on TGIF was "8 Simple Rules..." (2004-2005)....I think it would have fit in VERY well with those other sitcoms, if they all were on together. "Two Of A Kind" (1998-1999) would have been good, but it just came at a bad time. ;) Redd Foxx 12-23-2005, 03:51 PM Step By Step, and Hangin With Mr. Cooper lockdown06 12-29-2005, 10:03 PM Boy Meets World.....I hated Perfect Strangers. Daboss94 12-30-2005, 09:12 AM i cant wait for hangin with mr cooper to come back...only one more week!!! Mrgman 02-13-2006, 10:17 PM Perfect strangers. I loved Balki KurtfromPitts 02-22-2006, 02:21 PM I voted for Full House. I, at first, liked "Hope & Faith" when it first started, especially the Ford-Ripa interactions, and whenever Faith Fairfield would bring up a character from her show, and Hope would intone "On the soap", but when it became too much Charley vs. Faith, with the former usually on the losing end, it became too much for me too bear, and I lost interest. staypuftman2004 02-22-2006, 04:37 PM Sabrina, the Teenage Witch snl 70s show fan 02-22-2006, 07:40 PM i voted for step by step Scoobiedoo30 02-23-2006, 12:00 AM Full House bad_boy 02-23-2006, 12:33 AM Boy Meets World Skywalker 02-23-2006, 01:16 AM Perfect Strangers comedyfreak 02-23-2006, 09:46 AM Family Matters and Perfect Strangers for me. I could talk about it for hours :) Nighthawk76 02-24-2006, 05:48 PM Boy Meets World Mrs. John Ritter 02-27-2006, 10:50 PM Sabrina the Teenage Witch and Full House Lombolyo 02-28-2006, 12:19 AM Perfect Strangers and then later Sabrina the Teenage Witch shaeluv12 10-08-2006, 11:42 AM My fav was boy meets world second fav was Sabrina theird fav was Full house Dennis Dubois 10-13-2006, 05:12 PM Family Matters for sure. Even towards the end of the show when the premise wasn't there as it was in the beginning, I was entertained by every one of those episodes. If the show makes you laugh every time, then I think it has served its purpose. I also thought all the actors on the show did a great job. Don't hold me to this, but wasn't FM the longest running TGIF sitcom dispite it moved to CBS in S9 (8 years on ABC)? It even beat out Boy Meets World and Full House. People must have been tuning in even in 96/97. Dennis Dubois 10-13-2006, 05:14 PM Family Matters for sure.
