My cousin who is in his mid-20's has been living with Hodgkin's Disease for about 7 years and it has never really gone into remission.
On December 18th, he will undergo surgery to remove a tumor that is attached to his esophogus and wrapped around several vital organs. To remove this tumor the surgeon must stop his heart and take it out, shutting down all of his organs. This is a very risky surgery, so risky that it took awhile to find a surgeon who was willing to perform the operation.
The family is concerned that the operation is being done so close to Christmas. We have a huge family who gets together for a reunion every year after Christmas. The reunion is scheduled for the 27th which also happens to be his birthday.
Please keep him in your prayers, it would be devastating if we lost him so close to Christmas.
