Here's a photo from Thomas Haden Church's upcoming movie 'Sideways'. The production has finished, so it might possibly be coming out in the spring!

Thomas Haden Church reminds me of those great character actors of the "Classic Film" days....

He may not have high-profile STARRING roles in films, but he manages to show up in various productions and seems to work on a fairly steady basis.

Some of those busy character actors of the 1930's and 40's used to be seen more often and be more gainfully employed than the so-called "Superstars" of the day!

But he isn't considered a Character Actor, he's been considered a Comedic Actor or Comedian (Which doesn't fit because he never did stand-up).
I'd call him a Diverse Actor because he has this magical ability to go from Comedy to Drama very quickly.
He can be light an fluffy, funny, stupid, jerky, evil, dark... all of the good stuff. :D

I'll admit it, I've always wanted to see Thomas Haden Church play a cliche Private Eye in a mystery film noir set in the 30's or 40's (and have the movie use a black and white filter like Billy Bob Thorton's "The Man That Wasn't There).

There has been more news.
They discribe Thomas as little-known (OBVIOUSLY the reporters have never seen this board) and they say that now Sideways is slated for next fall :(.
I was hoping for a June release alongside "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban".
