Does anyone know what happened to the Lauren Lane Fanpage that "once" existed. Did it exist?

Yes, I wonder what's up with the site? I did post the question to another board too but no reply. That's curious, I think. Someone - at least the webmaster - should know. I guess the site is gone. Too bad. It would have been fun to find out more about Lauren Lane or Daniel Davis. I can't believe there aren't any fanpages for them! I found websites for most of the other cast members (Fran Drescher, Charles Shaughnessy, Nicholle Tom, Benjamin Salisbury, Madeline Zima) but none for Daniel Davis or Lauren Lane.

Cool that you are new to the board, too! Thanks for replying. I'm glad to know I don't get re-directed at this Lauren Lane fansite.

LOL Not a problem at all. Like I said, I'm usually at the Cheers boards. The only bad thing is that there are a LOT of people there and sometimes when you say something, you get ignored (I don't mea this to be offensive, Cheers fans :p )

Niles is, like the most awesome character, and CC is a cool character, too. Why are there no sites for them...?

I couldn't agree more about Niles and C.C.! Those two are soo much fun. Especially Niles. He's such a yenta, and yet you can't help but love him!

Hi all!

I like Niles and CC very much, too. Their relationship is so nicely weird which makes it so special for me. I think their characters are bond; they won't work that good without the other. I like that.

Concerning the websites... thanks for the Link to the fanlist, Kristen. I haven't seen this site before. Too bad there aren't a lot members yet. Is there any discussion at the list right now?

It's a good idea to make a fan website for CC & Niles or for Lauren Lane and/or Daniel Davis. I think there are some really good Nanny sites out there and they have great info. They don't tell that much about Lauren or Daniel though but at least they were "only" supporting characters. Nevertheless I wish there would be a little more about them. For example... what are they doing now? I think both actors do a lot stage work again and I saw at ImDb that Lauren was/is teaching at the Texas State University in San Marcos. (August 2003) I guess there aren't any official websites because they are not that busy on TV anymore. Unfortunately. Being faaar away from the US I'll never get the chance to see one of their plays. Has somebody seen Lauren Lane or Daniel Davis on stage?

If you'll start your own Website, Rebecca I'd be happy to help if I can. I don't have enough time to participate much though. I know it's a lot work to make a website. I'm the webmaster of a website and it's a "never-ending story". It's a lot fun though!

BTW One last question! Rebecca? Have you seen Daniel Davis appearance on Cheers? I saw he had a guest appearances in one of the episodes.

Christine took all the information down from her LL page because frankly there was no new info she could put up and also she just decided to move on.

Daniel Davis is uncomfortable with the internet and so there won't be an official website of his that will happen ever. There use to be an awesome one up about 3yrs ago, but at his request the webmaster took it down.

If you would like to see more information on any of his appearances on past television shows, there is a site up at:

But because of the large amount of photos compared to the bandwidth available, the site is often up and down - temporarily suspended for a couple hours. Keep trying!

I've seen both of these fantastic actors on stage - if you ever have a chance to do so - go for it! I use to attend The Nanny tapings as well in it's last season and also luckily managed to be there for the finale. Very bittersweet.

Which play did you see with them?

I saw Lauren Lane in 'Dinner With Friends' @ Berkley, CA and Daniel Davis in 'Wrong Mountain' @ San Francisco, 'Talking Heads' @ Beverly Hills and 'Invention of Love' @ NY.

Last I heard, LL was working on a movie script and DD is reading scripts, deciding on his next project.

Cool! You have seen so many plays with Daniel Davis and Lauren Lane! You are lucky. :) I imagine you enjoyed it. I read reviews of all of the plays and saw some pictures. They looked interesting.

Interesting also that Lauren Lane is working on a movie script. She seems to be very creative. I read about her handbag collection she made with Ben Shepard in 2000. It would be nice to see LL and DD on TV again one day.

BTW May I ask which tapings of The Nanny you attended?

I attended the last half of the sixth season tapings:

The Hanukkah Story, The In-Law Who Came Forever, The Fran In The Mirror, The Yummy Mummy, The Producers, The Dummy Twins, Yetta's Lettas, and The Finale parts I and II. They ended up cancelling the live tapings for California Here We Come, Ma'ternal Affairs, Maggie's Wedding and The Baby Shower.

I think by far my favorite was Yetta's Lettas and The Finale was awesome because of all the relatives and friends of the cast who were in attendance. They also shared Fran and Max's Anniversary cake with the audience, everyone got a slice. They had extra cakes (just in case, you know for retakes). It was strawberry creme - yummm!

Wow! It's really cool you were able to attend all these tapings! That must have been a fun experience. I like all these episodes but my favorites are definitely The Hanukkah Story, The Producers, The Dummy Twins and Yetta's Lettas. I think these episodes have a lot good scenes. Seeing them taped live must have been cool. BTW interesting about the cake! ;) I guess they needed no retakes so there was more for the audience. :) Speaking of retakes... I saw a blooper from The Dummy Twins. It must be hard to stay serious when the audience already starts to laugh! But well, they are pros! :D
