While I love this show, I don't care for the cost-cutting repetitious footage that the series used. A few examples of this: same scenes and dialogue involving Doctor Mogombo, Pugsley getting money from his real piggy bank, scenes with Kitty Kat, and footage of the mailman having the mail snatched from him by Thing. Of course any scenes of trains blowing up are from the pilot. Can anyone think of any other examples and what are your feelings towards these reused scenes?

That never really bothered me at all really. In all actuality, the scenes with the piggy bank and Dr. Maebogo were only reused twice, so it's not really that repititious. The scenes with kitty cat, I must admit were reused many many times, but if you think about it, it would have been very difficult and time consuming to get that lion every time the script called for it. There are schedules and deadlines to consider. Being an drama major in college, I know how long it takes to shoot things. I thought the shots of the trains were done well, they used different angles, so it didn't seem like the same shot all the time.
With a show like this where there are many special effects and elaborate props and furniture, you have to try to save as much money as possible. I'm sure this show spent more money on props than most shows at the time.
