I was able to get on the P&P 10 DVD set previously referenced by Skywalker2754 on this message board. Boy, am I glad I did!

You can't go wrong with the set, which includes all 34 episodes of P&P, in addition to the 5 specials, 26 shorts, menus and bonus material compiled in chronilogical order.

The video and audio quality of 33 of the original 34 episodes and all 5 specials is nothing short of exceptional. I'm not a videofile by any stretch but I am somewhat picky about quality. Needless to say, I was very pleased with this set. The only episode not of superior quality was "O' Christmas Pete" and even that was very very good. All of the episodes were recorded as re-aired on the Noggin network earlier in 2003 in their full uninterrupted form, complete with uninterrupted beginning and ending credits. The only drawback (and it's unavoidable, really) was the annoying pop-ups ads that appear every so often, courtesy of Noggin. While annoying, the ads won't spoil the pleasure of watching these fantastic discs.

The quality of the 26 shorts is a little less stellar but, considering their scarcity, they're not bad at all. Very watchable.

The bonus material is terrific also. It includes a "Behind the Scenes of Pete & Pete" slideshow, a slideshow of Promotional Material, Special Guest Stars menu and the complete & entire original version of "Valentine's Day Massacre" episode. Great stuff!

You can tell the set was compiled as a labor of love by Skywalker2754. Fans of the show are fortunate that he converted the material to digital format and has made it available to all to watch in their own homes.

Dealing with Skywalker2754 was also very much a pleasure. Typically, you can count on running into some snag or another with people offering these sort of deals on message boards. Not Skywalker. He's a class act, totally reliable and professional and delivered the discs quickly. Until Nickelodeon releases its own P&P set (yeah, like that's ever gonna happen!), I don't imagine you could possibly find a better, more complete set of P&P episodes.

These Pete & Pete discs would make a nice holiday gift. If you're interested, I'd highly recommended contacting Skywalker at:
skywalker2754@yahoo.com . You won't be disappointed. Can you tell I was impressed with the set?

Hope you find this review helpful.

All the best,

Miracle Legion

I only accept money order for this set where I don't have a Paypal account, but I am willing to overnight a package if you wish to have it for Christmas. Time is running out though, so contact me soon if you wish to have Pete and Pete in time for the holidays. As a special offer to those wishing to have it as a Christmas gift, I will include my custom made cases. Email me at skywalker2754@yahoo.com

Not for nothing, Miracle Legion, but your first post on these boards- and Sitcoms Online - is to tell us how great someone is who makes dvds?

One would think you would post about something or request something before making a post praising a seller - not even a trader.

Oh and you make note of all the specifications of taping and transfer and such.

Smells fishy.

I purchased the P&P shorts from skywalker2754 and they were great.

Nice, but you must have purchased them from yourself.

You must not have been feeling well, you're a little confused.
But you do give yourself excellent reviews, so don't lose touch with yourself.

And just to clarify here- King O Frod and skywalker2754 are definitely the same person. It has been verified by our very own Pavanbadal.

he must really think we are fools using the name "king o frod". hrm...is there anyway frod could mean fraud? but if so, i don't think he is the king...

I can assure that both of these people, Miracle Legion and King O Frod, are legitimate customers. Why else would Miracle Legion talk about the cons as well as the pros? I don't appreciate the slanderous remarks. As far as me being just a seller - not even a trader, I never ruled out trading and have traded for the P&P set.
Dlemond I'll gladly trade you one of my Pete and Pete discs for one of your items, then you can decide for yourself if I am legit. What do you have to offer?

It's ok dorky. I bet your set is actually fine, but you did register under another name to give yourself props.

As far as Miracle Legend goes, there is no direct proof.

But you are King O Frod- no doubt, proven and cased closed.

I can report you and you will banned.

Beyond selling yourself, you are not doing anything wrong.
But don't call me out.

I check facts.

Hi.

I am actually Skywalker 2754's brother. I was away at college while he was working on the Pete and Pete sets and I bought a set from him. I was really impressed to see what he did with them, and it was great to see the shorts that I remember from TV. Anyway, I got home from school for Christmas break and he told me about the problem he was having so I decided to try and help him out with my endorsement. Looking back it was probably a bad idea because I didn't think about having the same IP address.

I know that there is no way to prove that I am not the same person, and to be honest I really don't care what you think. I just wanted to clear up any misunderstandings. So, I guess you didn't take every possibiliy into consideration Detective dlemond. I really don't see how you've proven anything to get anyone banned...it is possible for two seperate people to use the same computer and even for someone in the same family to purcahse something from his brother.

As far as the name "king o frod," it is, as I'm sure you know, a reference to "King of the Road." It has nothing to do with fraud. I joined the board a while back, as a fan of the series, and was thinking about posting here, but from the immature comments on this thread alone, I really doubt that I will be coming back.

So, believe me or not, get a set or don't, I couldn't care less. I just don't think you are being all that polite here, and a little more than condescending, jumping to assumptions.

Whatever.

Even if your are his brother he obviously told you to get online and sign up and give him props.

Because that was your first post.

I'm sure everyone would have liked to know that such objective assessment comes from his brother.
Would you have jumped online and signed up and told us if the copies sucked?

And polite my butt, you were less than truthful, what you are doing is illegal, and frankly I don't even buy this "brother" story.

dlemond, I'm a registered user on this site, in the event that you didn't notice. While that was indeed my first post, I can assure you I didn't benefit one iota from giving a review of skywalker's DVD set. Also, I don't know skywalker personally, nor am I related in any way.

I'm just trying to help others who might be sitting on the fence about purchasing the DVD set previously offered on this website. Hey, people have good reason to be skeptical, which is exactly why I bothered to register here at this site and provide a review.

If you or anyone else has further questions, please contact me via email at delawarebeer@prodigy.net. I'd be happy to offer an honest opinion.

BTW, many thanks to skywalker for committing P&P to digital format. The care you took in assembling the set had to have been the result of a labor of love. Great job! You definitely don't deserve the comments by people like dlemond.

Cheers all.

I am just trying to make people cautious.

And you have only posted TWICE this website.

And both on this thread.

Registered member just means signing up.

And nobody knows anything about you anyway, so where is your credibility?

I am just trying to make people cautious.

dlemond, I'm sure you're just a misunderstood, well-intentioned do-gooder intent on making message boards safe for the general public (a would-be Artie?). Why you protest so much or continue to challenge the veracity of my claim is beyond me; frankly, I could really care less. I have less important things to do than to get into a peeing match with you. I'm sure the readers of this board are smart enough to figure out that someone who doesn't hide his email addy (me) has a little more credibility than someone who does (dlemond.)

As I previously indicated, anyone seriously interested in a testament to the quality of the DVD set offered by skywalker may contact me directly at delawarebeer@prodigy.net. The rest may kindly ignore this post... and this includes you, dlemond. (Of course, you are also invited to contact me directly, as offered.)

Cheers everyone. Have a pipe 2004.

Like I said, I just wanted people to be cautious since so many traders have been ripped off before.

I don't think I am misunderstood and don't consider myself a do-gooder. It's just that the more bad trades and such can make people reluctant to do it in the future thereby limiting the amount of trade material.

I don't know who Artie is or why you joined SO just to post how wonderful somebody's dvd set is and then never post again until I said something.

I don't want to get into a battle of words- people can just read the thread and take it for what it is.

The end.
