I was so sick of Lamont saying-"I don't think that is right Pop" That's mean Pop" or Pop WILL YOU STOP IT" He was Too damm nie for me. He had DORKY Qualities. Nothing was HIP or Cool about him. I don't even know why Rollo Hung out with him. And then I didn't like how he always took Julio's side over his DaD. Lamont was my least favorite character.

You're not the first person I heard say that! I always saw Lamont nothing more than a straight man for Fred's crude and crusty behavior. I agree that Lamont was no Lionel Jefferson #1 when it came to be cool! :)

I think Lamont's character was pretty much the straight man for fred's antics; I always thought Demond Wilson was a very handsome man, but not the greatest actor; he lacked a lot of charisma with his blank, indifferent looks and reations towards the other actors...I adored Rollo, Nathaniel Taylor was my third favorite after Redd Foxx and LaWanda Page...

Nathaniel Taylor should have played Fred's son. But he did becme partners with Fred in the Junk business on the short-lived sitcom called SANFORD

But he did becme partners with Fred in the Junk business on the short-lived sitcom called SANFORD I honestly think the reason they hired Demond Wilson to play Redd Foxx's son because of his lackluster performances as an actor that went so well with Foxx's strong peronality and persona in general...I think Nathaniel Taylor persona would clash as Foxx's son, because he made the perfect "Bad Ass" Brother role while Demond (Lamont) as you stated was a dork who did not have that certain edge to him to make him cool..

I've come to like Rollo more now then years before. I just like the way he talks! The brother is definately the coolest!! :cool:

Lamont was cool in a 1970s kind of way. Very mellow, level headed guy with an open mind. I thought Desmond Wilson was a good actor. Rollo was hilarious. I really like it when he is on the show. He was the kind of fellow I would like to have hang around (as long as he wasn't smoking weed).

I think Demond Wilson was funny as hell with Redd foxx!
I loved the way he would always make those funny faces when Fred was embarrassing him.

[size=2]Both of them should had gone on the road as a comic team like Lewis and Martin.
