I heard from a friend that the infamous Jenny From The Block is leaving pop and r&b behind and is going the standards route. I am not a fan of J-Lo or standards, but if it's true, I wanna hear this cd because it'd be such an embarassment because Miss Lopez sounds like nails on a chalkboard

O-kayyy, anooother standards cd. Let's see now- who have we got so far-
Rod Stewart, Cyndi Lauper, Ron Isley (does Manillow have one?), & now...J. Lo...all in the same year.

Just another fad for the pop stars to experimant with.

Can't wait until they all start cranking out polka albums!

I love Cyndi's other music, but AT LAST (her standards album) is total garbage. Watch her go the Streisand route (once upon a time, Barbra wasn't completely boring, then she had a huge seller with Broadway Album and everything since has been standards) since AT LAST became her first top 40 album since 1989.

It's a very dry and boring production. Barbra is the ONLY singer I can think of who can pull off that type of arrangement. It's a real shame Cyndi released a lot of good albums in the 90's that went nowhere, then she does a lame boring covers album and it brings her back to the top 40.
