I just read on Carpet's mb that TV Land may not have IDOJ on their schedule for 2004. I know that they are putting back on Green Acres and Family Ties so maybe they are clearing out IDOJ to make way for these shows??? I don't know. I love Green Acres but I can't stand Family Ties.

AAHHH!!! I hope they don't.. I'd be really sad because IDOJ is my absolute favorite show and I don't have any on tape because my VCR is really old and I can't get it to record on cable ch.'s only standard.. bleh.. anyway I really hope they don't.. I'm going to keep following the schedule from tv.yahoo.com that gives you what's going to be on for the next 2 weeks.. why can't they take out some other show?!?! anything but IDOJ! :-(

That sucks; I think they should leave IDOJ on TV Land. TV Land wouldn't be the same without it.

I like Family Ties, but I really think they should keep it on Nick-at-Nite and NOT put in on TV Land, since TV Land seems to be more dedicated to older classics while N@N is more dedicated to "modern classics" (whatever that means...).

That is not true, both I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched will still air on TV Land in January.

"Modern Classics" are supposed to be shows that first aired within the last two decades. That N@N's definition of a modern Tv classic.

TVland is trying to do something different. They want to show more family-oriented shows. I like what they show now, but they run the same shows in a whole. (So does N@N!) It will be nice to have a little variety.

. . . . I've been sick this week so basically from Tuesday late afternoon until LATE Thursday night/EARLY Friday morning, the television was tuned to TV Land. They show the same exact episodes from the evening before on the following day. Plus certain shows seem to get played 2 or 3 different time slots during the day. For example, "Beaver" gets shown in the afternoon, I think, and then in the early evening and then once again in the later evening. Same with Sanford, same with Bewitched, etc, etc, It would be nice if they could take away some of those "duplicate" airings and show different shows that they don't show right now. For example, instead of showing Beaver 4 episodes per day, just show 2 episodes and show Bob Newhart Show, Mary Tyler Moore, etc. Show something that they don't air currently.

OK; so what's with TV Land's schedule these days? I am not finding IDOJ on at ANYTIME (though my TV Guide says 10:30 in the mornings...I'm seeing differently during this lovely week I happen to be taking off). And I think that Family Ties and Cheers should STAY on N@N!!!!!

What about the DVR service from TimeWarnerCable? I have it, it works great. It doesn't have grainy quality like when you record something on tape. So you can basically record it and watch it on your own schdule. Cool huh!!!

So how much does that DVR service cost?

Gee, I'm thinking of changing my schedule to wake up at 6:30 each day just to watch IDOJ. Watching IDOJ in the morning and getting a few laughs off of it can keep me happy all day long!

(plus I think I should continue to take advantage of my free digital cable service while it lasts).....

Actually I donno. My mom works at TWC so she might know and thats why we have it. It works great, though.
