Do any one remember watching tht Head of the Class on syndication around the early 90's. I remember watching it on WFLX FOX 29 in 1993 & 1994 at the age of 7.

Yeah, it was on Chan. 24 and WB18 in Milwaukee around the same time. But it was on at 4 in the morning so I always had to set my VCR!

But on WFLX FOX 29 in West Palm Beach, FL it was on at 1:30pm. Right before The Wonder Years.

I doubt TBS would start showing Head of the Class again. It seems as if they are only interested in airing reruns of top comedies from the 90s such as Friends, Seinfeld, Home Improvement, etc. I think they even dumped Full House after paying a lot for reruns in favor of more episodes of Home Improvement.

I saw it in syndication back in the 1991 - 1992 season on WJZ-13, when it was an ABC affiliate. I am pretty sure it came on at 4:00 PM, as it was right after General Hospital, and I used to watch it after I got home from school.

I wish there was a network that would pick it up and treat it right. One that would show all of the episodes, and actually promote it. I think that HOTC is a highly overlooked gem, and it did get 5 seasons and over 100 epsiodes (which is a lot more than some other shows do), so I do not understand why it is so shunned.

Well TBS did not air long enough if you ask me:

Sept 7, 1993 to November 1993 then July to September 1996.

I remember watching HOTC on Houston's WB affiliate ch.39 in the early 90's. I think around 93 or 94 because i recorded some episodes and one had the premier of Ricki Lake's talk show after HOTC. It aired for a while and I think they stopped showing it around 95 or 94. Anyone remember its short stint on TBS? That had to be in 1993-94 cause I remember I was in the 5th grade when it was on TBS. Then I watched it a year or 2 ago on on Nick at Nite at 4 Am in the morning. Then it got axed which sux! Nick always cancels the good shows!

Maybe on the N.

I don't think it will happen. The-N is a derivative of Nickelodeon, which overnights "Nick at Nite." Both networks are under the Viacom umbrella.

It is sad. The-N doesn't do anything classic. It's all "Sabrina the Teenage Witch," "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air," "Degrassi: The Next Generation," "Daria," "My So-Called Life" now. They used to air things like "Square One TV," "The Adventures of Pete & Pete," "3-2-1: Contact," and other shows like that. But it's now mostly teenage stuff.

Nick at Nite is slowly but surely moving into the 90s with their lineup. Most of their shows had their heyday after 1990, although they air "Who's the Boss (mostly 80s, ended its run in 1992)," and "The Cosby Show (again, mostly 80s, and ended its run in 1992)." "Roseanne" started in the late 80s ('88, I think), but continued well into the 90s, and "Full House" started in 1987, but continued through 1995. The rest started on or after 1990 ("Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Wings" and whatever is left). The new Nick-at-Nite sucks big. Even if these shows are "classic" (I think that some of them are too "new" to be considered that, but...) they have been repeated on sooooooo many other networks that they are run into the ground (not to mention that N-at-N runs them into the ground even further by showing them many times a day, making them even further less desirable). It seems that a lot of the '80s stuff (like "Cheers" and "Family Ties") is being shipped over to TvLand, which is making the loyal viewers over there cringe. They want (with good reason) vintage classics, like from the 50s and 60s.

I think that N-at-N should be for true classics from the 70s and 80s that is not shown anywhere else, like "Head of the Class" and "Perfect Strangers." TvLand should be for classics from the 50s, 60s, and before, and I think that the 90s stuff should be left to mature a little bit before being introduced as a "classic."

Hopefully, HOTC will make a comeback. I'll take it on ANY network.

Well, The-N maybe a better place for the show.

I agree, but don't think they are interested. They are more concerned with teenagers (Degrassi The Next Generation, Radio Free Roscoe, Moesha, Daria, Fresh Prince, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Girls V. Boys and Instant Star). The only older-themed programming they have is "Daria" and "My So-Called Life." I fear that The-N would treat HOTC as bad as N@N did, since both networks are owned by the same media giant (Viacom).

The last time I saw "Head of the Class" rerun anywhere was on a local FOX station (where I was living at the time) in early 1995. Yes, it's been that long.

Sometimes I dream about hanging out with Khrystyne Haje (whenever it's a sunny day outside) and letting her know how much I cared about her growing up.
