Prince 12-07-2003, 06:01 PM Hello everyone,
Just wanted to announce that the CD's are done and I'm going to ship them all out tomorrow. Hope you like the finished product. BTW...Cheryl...for some reason I don't have your address. Could you please email it to me again???? I want to send your CD out with everyone else's. Just email me at
chicoprinze22@hotmail.com.
Cheryl Harrell 12-08-2003, 04:46 AM Just sent it out to ya!Thanks in advance for the cd... :)
Prince 12-08-2003, 06:55 PM Hello,
Well the CD's are on the way. And for those who wanted to help out with the cost of the project... it would be around $3.00 a piece. I made 17 CD's and mailed them out today. There are only 16 tracks..but for some odd reason...Dani wanted a copy too, so that's why the number totaled 17. The $3.00 comes from the cost of the cases, CD's, shipping and the packaging. This is strictly on a volunteer basis..so if you don't have the extra cash due to the expense of the holiday season, please don't worry about it. I promised I would post the total once I had then shipped...so here it is. Have a wonderful Holiday season and a very Merry Christmas. Hope you like the CD's once you've had a listen.
Pitooey 12-08-2003, 09:33 PM Thank you sweet Macca.......

You did a great job, again! Take care. Kathy:yourock:
Prince 12-11-2003, 01:22 PM Hi Kathy,
Glad you liked it. What did you think of the tribute song to Freddie by Charlene? And didn't Dani do a wonderful job with the cover?? Enjoy and have a very Merry Christmas. I think this CD is a way to keep us all as one..and it's a nice time of year to do that.
Cheryl Harrell 12-12-2003, 04:36 PM I got my cd today & thanks! You guys did a professional job! :) I just had to play the Freddie song first as I've been dying to hear it. It gave me leaky eye syndrome. (tears) My hubby looked at the cd & enjoyed listening to the song with me. Already he has come up with ideas for a part 3 cd! :) Great job ladies & thanks for the cd... :)
hue_mee 12-12-2003, 09:35 PM I got my CD yesterday and haven't stopped listening to it! It is incredible! Thank you ladies for all your hard work putting it together. Thank you to everyone who particpated in this project!
Danisel331 12-13-2003, 12:04 AM WOWomg: look at the reactions on here!
We are both just so proud that you all have enjoyed this project as much as you did the first time around.
Now here's is the cover and the label of the cd in case someone out there hasn't gotten theirs yet. It's on the way!;)
Danisel331 12-13-2003, 12:07 AM and now the label........don't worry it's supposed to look a little different on your cds.
kathy59 12-13-2003, 12:52 AM Dani--Awesome job on the artwork!! I forgot to mention it in my last post. It's amazing how well you two work together. I can't thank both of you enough! Kathy
victorianscribe 12-13-2003, 10:13 AM The CD is SO beautiful, and I can't thank both of you enough, either. All the songs are beautiful, but I've just gotta say ... that song "Freddie" sums it all up perfectly, I think. I'd never heard it before, and I'm so glad you gave me the opportunity. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Luckymama58 12-13-2003, 11:00 AM I got mine yesterday, but I have been sick, so I haven't had the time to listen to it or respond on here. The cover is beautiful. Thanks again to both of you for this project. I think I might like to tackle the CD of images. I have hundreds in my collection and if I have some time over the holidays, I will see what I can put together for you all. I will let you know when I have something done.
BTW Macca, I will have a check out to you soon for the CD's. Thanks again! What a great way to honor our PRINZE!
BTW again, if I do up the picture CD, do I have permission to have seperate sections on it for all the wonderful wall papers that you all have shared with us? I don't think any CD of pictures would be complete without those wonderful creations. I just don't want to add them without permission, and I would give you all FULL credit.
victorianscribe 12-13-2003, 12:59 PM Luckymama, I am absolutely DROOLING at the thought of a Freddie picture CD.
Meanwhile, I hope you feel better soon.
hue_mee 12-13-2003, 01:34 PM Yes all the songs and the cover designs are so awesome!
Karen64 12-13-2003, 02:12 PM I jutt got mine! WOW! Love the song selections, and the artwork! So professionally made!! I can't wait to hear it!
I got on here this morning, read that you'all were starting to get yours, so I trudged out in the snow to check the mail! My pants are covered with snow up to my knees! LOL! But it was worth it!
Thank you thank you thank you! I will send you some money soon...Thanks again! :)
Cheryl Harrell 12-14-2003, 08:30 AM You're welcome to use any pics I've done up... :)
sfditusa 12-14-2003, 04:41 PM Thank you Macca and Dani for your hard work. I really enjoyed the CD. The CD does seem professional! What a cool group we have.
Sandra
Pitooey 12-15-2003, 04:37 PM Thank you for the wonderful CD. I agree with the others on the selection of songs. They were beautiful. I'm listening to it right now. I will send out my check too. Dani you have such a good eye in capturing Freddie.... I wish I was so talented.
The Freddie ending with Charlene almost had me bawling though........ :crying: I remember when this song came out so my eyes were watering up. She spoke to Freddie like we all would've spoken to him.
Yes i have enjoyed my CD to no end as well and the song choices were awesome and that freddie song is beautiful!
Thank you for all your time and hard work!!
Cheryl Harrell 12-17-2003, 08:10 PM The one about Freddie by Charlene was so sweet & sad. It'll have ya reaching for the hankies...
Pitooey 12-17-2003, 10:24 PM She has the voice of an angel. And she sang it for our dear Freddie...... She sang what we (fans) wanted to tell him. Freddie touched so many lives when he was here on earth.
I just hope that Freddie Jr. knows about the song that Charlene wrote for his father.
Prince 12-18-2003, 09:15 AM I've been reading all the responses as everyone gets thier CD in the mail. Dani and I are so happy that you are all enjoying the CD and the "Freddie" tribute song by Charlene. Dani and I have both tried to find out a little more information on "Charlene" but haven't been able to come up with anything at all. Whoever she is, we are grateful that she found it in her heart to sing such a loving tribute to someone we love so much. I would bet money that Freddie Jr. has never heard the song. I think it is a rariety that few people know exists. By the way, just wanted to let you know that Dani and I had to forego our own song choices on the CD this time because of the overwhelming response. But wanted you to know what our selections were just the same.
Dani chose - Evertime I Think Of You - by Angelina
I chose - Something in the Way You Look Tonight - Elton John
Enjoy the music and Dani's great art work. Thanks for participating and showing how much you care for Freddie and I hope everyone here on the board has a wonderful and blessed
Holiday Season.
kathy59 12-18-2003, 01:28 PM Hi Everyone! I was searching on Google for "Charlene", and it took me awhile, but I found it! She went by Charlene Duncan for a while; an album was released with one song, then re-released in 1977 with the song "Freddie" on it instead. Here's what it said:
"P6-10018 - Songs of Love - Charlene [5/77] Repackage of P6-10015, with "Freddie" replacing "Shake a Hand" and the songs re-sequenced. Also, there is no spoken bridge in the song "I've Never Been To Me." It Ain't Easy Comin' Down/I've Never Been To Me/Rings/Somewhere In My Life/Hey Mama//Freddie/I Love Every Little Thing About You/It's Really Nice To Be in Love Again/I Want To Come Back As A Song/On My Way To You "
I was interested in the history of the song since I had never heard of it before. I'll let you know any other info. I find. Thanks again for the CD! Kathy
Cheryl Harrell 12-19-2003, 04:30 PM Shake a Hand" was an old soul song so I assume this was a remake of it. "I've Never Been To Me" was her big hit on the radio. I hadn't heard it in yrs. Never heard of the Freddie song until I got into Freddie & was on these boards. I wonder if she did any other records????
