I read in one the the Lucy books that Desi's mother was still living when he died but she was in frail health. Does anyone know when she past away?

Lucie Arnaz has said that Desi's mother, Lolita, died in 1988, 2 years after Desi. I think it's kind of better that she was in frail health and didn't really recognize her surroundings anymore because it must be an awful feeling to outlive your child. :(

Yes, I read that she died never knowing that she out-lived her only child.

You're probably right. :) I thought I read that Lucie said Lolita died in 1988, but she might have been reffering to something else that I missed.

1977, she was 85.

No, I think it was either late 1988 or early '89 because I remember reading that she had passed away ' a few month before her ex-daughter-in-law' [Lucy]!
