Hi all. I think I will be able to keep going with my fics since the play (which was my personal problem) has been cancelled so here is a new fic to try to cheer everyone up. First, has there ever been a fic about CD and Nate as teenagers in love? If there hasn't, I will write this but if there was, then this one will be even better!!!

It is August 17, 1979. On a sunny afternoon, CD is going to meet her boyfriend Nate Basso at the movies. CD waited there for a half an hour and then he finally came.

CD- Where have you been? I have been waiting here forever.
Nate- Sorry. I had to take out the garbage, load the dishwasher, etc. You know how mothers are.
CD- Don't I know it. My mother was all lovey dovey with Rick when I left.
Nate- You should give the guy some credit. At least they are in love.
CD- Looking at them makes me sick.
Nate- Now what would happen if someday I was all "lovey dovey" with you? You wouldn't like it?
CD- Of course I would. That is different. At least you are cute. He isn't.
Nate- *shrugs* So what movie are we going to see?
CD- I was thinking of "Terms of Enderment". It looks so romantic.
Nate- Blech. I don't like love stories.
CD- But yet you say you love me all of the time.
Nate- That is different. I said I don't like love stories. You and me are love realities.

When CD got home, her mother was sitting at the kitchen table sewing a button on ber boyfriend, Rick's, shirt.

CD- Mom, can I talk to you?
Polly- Sure but hurry up. I got to cook dinner and sew this button on before I fall asleep.
CD- When was the first time you fell in love?
Polly- Candace...
CD- I am serious.
Polly- I can't talk about such silly matters right now. Now please go to your room and play.
CD- Play?? I am 15 years old. I don't play. That is soo childish.
Polly- Candace, you are getting on my last nerve now please act your age.
CD- You're the one that just said...
Polly- Enough!! Now I have a headache. I am going to lie down.
CD- What about dinner?
Polly- Ask Rick to make you some Chef Boy Ar Dee or something.

Polly went into her room and slammed the door. CD went out into the living room to talk to Rick.

CD- Rick, Mom went to go lie down for a bit. Will you make some dinner?
Rick- Sure. Anything for my little Candace.
CD- Please stop saying those little comments like that.
Rick- You know I am only teasing you.
CD- Sometimes I wonder...

After dinner, CD went into her room to listen to some music. There was a knock on the door but CD couldn't hear it over the music.

Rick- Hi Candace.
CD- Where's Mom?
Rick- Taking another nap. She was tired.
CD- She is upset with me.
Rick- Why would anyone be upset with you?
CD- I asked her about love and she blew up at me.
Rick- You can ask me.
CD- No I can't. You are a man.
Rick- So? I happen to know a lot about love. *Scoots next to CD*
CD- What are you doing?
Rick- Oh come on Candace. I know you love me. I know I love you. We were meant for each other. *Starts kissing CD*
CD- Get away from me!
Rick- Stop it Candy.
CD- MO--!
Rick- You yell for your mother, I'll kill you.
CD- Well, how about this. *CD kneed him right in the family jewls*
Rick- *Moaning and groaning in pain* Ohhhh...
CD- *Ran outta the house and over to Nates*

Nate was sitting on his couch watching television when the was a knock on his door.

Nate- CD? What the hell are you doing here? It is so late. *He noticed she was crying* CD? What's wrong?
CD- *Crying harder* He--he tried to--rape me.
Nate- What?! Who?
CD- Rick.
Nate- *Looks around to see if anyone was home.* Come on in. No one is home. Let's go into my room.
CD- *Followed Nate into his room* I am so sorry to bust in on you like this.
Nate- It's ok. I am glad you came over.
CD- I was so scared.
Nate- How did you get away?
CD- I kneed him.
Nate- *Laughs* Ouch! That had to have hurt.
CD- *Slaps him on the shoulder* Nate!
Nate- Sorry. Just a joke. *Cuddles up next to CD* It's ok. I'm always here for you.
CD- I know. Thank you. *Kisses Nate. They kiss passionately. Nate laid CD on the bed and took off her shirt. She did the same to him* We don't have to do this. I know you just had a terrible experience.
CD- I never would want to do this with Rick. You I love. *She kissed him* Wait. Is anyone here?
Nate- Nope. Everyone is gone out for the night. *They continued and when they were done, they fell asleep*

The next morning, there was a knock on Nate's bedroom door. Nate and CD were still sleeping.

Nate's Mom- Nathan, time to ge--AH!
Nate- *Jumped up* What? What's wrong mom? *He has forgotten CD was still in his bed sleeping*
Nate's Mom- What is she doing there?
Nate- *Looked over at CD* Oh well, uh.. *Woke CD up* CD, wake up.
CD- *Woke up and saw Nate's mother staring at her* Mrs. Basso.
Nate's Mom- Nathan, what is the meaning of this. What is that slut doing in your bed?
Nate- Slut? CD is not a slut. The only slut in this room is you. She is a wonderful human being and I love her very much.
Nate's Mom- How dare you call me that. She has got you brainwashed. I want her out of my house.
Nate- Well this is my room. I want you out of it and she is free to stay as long as she wants to.
Nate's Mom- Get out of my house. Both of you.
Nate- Come on CD.
CD- *Stood up* Always a pleasure Mrs. Basso.

Nate and CD left and went to a nearby park and sat down on a bench. CD started crying.

Nate- I am sorry about my mother. I have never seen her actlike that before.
CD- What are we going to do? I am not going back to my house and your mother kicked you out. We have no place to go.
Nate- CD, it doesn't matter where we go. As long as we have eachother. CD, I have always loved you and I always will.
CD- I love you too. *They kiss* Ya know what? My mom's old friend, her name is Kate McCafferty, she and my mom don't talk anymore but we still keep in touch. Maybe we can stay with her until we find a place of our own.
Nate- Let's give her a call.

Kate McCafferty had worked 12 hours straight and had finally gotten home and into her bed when the phone rang. She let out a few curses before she answered the phone.

Nate- Kate? It's Nate.
Kate- Oh hi Nate. I thought it might have been work. What's up you sound upset.
Nate- Well, my mom kicked me out of the house and my girlfriend was almost raped by her mom's boyfriend so she won't go home and we have no where to go.
Kate- Would you two like to stay at my house for a few days?
Nate- You don't mind?
Kate- Of course not. That is awful the position you two have been put in. Where are you guys?
Nate- We are a little bit outside of San Francisco.
Kate- Ok I will stop at the grocery store because I have nothing in my fridge and I will call you back.

After they ate and showered, Kate drove them to the polices station.

Jinny- Where should we go?

Jinny- All right. Let's go to the anchorside.
Nate- We cant get in there. We are underage.
Jinny- I know one of the bartenders. He slips me a few drinks and I leave quietly. No big deal. Come on let's go.

They walk up to the Anchorside door and CD and Nate stopped dead in their tracks. Jinny saw them and sigh. You can tell she was getting annoyed.

Jinny- What's your problem now??
CD- This isn't a good idea. What if we get caught?
Nate- CD's right. Why don't we go to the zoo or something?
Jinny- *Glared at him* Fine stay out here. I'm going.

She walked into the bar. CD and Nate stayed outside.

They all drank every bottle and had Jinny go back in for more. CD and Nate knew it was wrong but they loved the way it tasted! When they were finally done, they were plastered. They went wondering on the streets all though no one knew what they were doing. They were coming up to strangers and talking to them. Then they finally sat down.

Jinny- Isn't this great?
Nate- Actually I haven't had this much fun in a while.
CD- Me either.
Jinny- Oh CD, look at that cute guy over there. He look lonely. Let's go talk to him.
CD- Ok. *Smiles*

They go over to him and sit down next to him.

Jinny- Hey. What's a guy like you doing in a park all alone.
Guy- Well I am just hanging arounf. What's your name?
Jinny- I am Jinny. This is my friend CD.
CD- Hi there.
Guy- Nice to meet you both.
Jinny- Hey, can you get a friend for CD and we could go somewhere to get more aquianted.
Guy- Sure. I have the perfect place to go. Come on.
Jinny- Where are we going to anyway? *Grins*
Guy- The station.
CD- What?
Guy- *Flashes badge* You two are under arres for underage drinking.

They all ran but little did they know the police officer in the park called for backup and they were caught. They were taken down to the station and when they figured out who Jinny's father was, they were taken to him.

John- Paul, what's going on?
Paul- These youngsters were caught drinking in the park.
John- Jinny!
Jinny- It's not a big deal. You drink all the time.
Paul- I will leave them with you.
John- Thanks.
CD- Mr. Exstead, will you excuse me?
John- Where are you going?
CD- Bathroom. *Runs to the bathroom to throw up*
Kate- What's going on?
John- They were caught drinking.
Nate- Kate, I am soo sorry.
Jinny- I talked them into it.
Kate- I should have figured. Jinny what are we going to do with you?
Jinny- I dont know. Dont care.
CD- *Came out of the bathroom*
John- Now listen kids, we drank to when we were young and we knew it was wrong.
Kate- Just promise us you will never do it again.
Jinny, CD, & Nate- We promise. *Jinny crosses her fingers*
