My dad told me this interesting story about the last name Taylor, you can choose to believe or you can choose to believe that I'm telling a lie.
Anyway, I live near Mt. Airy (Andy's hometown).
My dad has a friend and she use to be a Taylor before she married & she happens to be Andy's cousin & as the story goes Andy used names & stuff from Mt. Airy, so we have reason to believe this is where Andy got the name Taylor.

Like I said, you can believe this or you can ignore it!
God Bless!

No reason to doubt you, Theres several places in or near Mt Airy that have been used or mentioned on the series. Speaking Of Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver, You ever been to their bluegrass festival they have over in Denton, NC every year?

I doubt he would have gotten anywhere with a lawsuit, You can't copyright or trademark a person's name.

Well, thank you for believing me. It is hard to trust people on the internet, but I promise this story I told is true. Yes, I have been to their festival once, and that was this year's. It was really wonderful. Have you been or do you even like them? I only went on Saturday. If you like DL&QS, have you ever met them in person? They are real swell people, especially Jamie Dailey (guitar & tenor vocals) & Jesse Stockman (fiddle).
God Bless! :)

I didn't know that your screen name was for Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver. They come to the Bluegrass festival in Grass Valley California. I've attended that festival a number of times.

Dub Taylor was a reoccuring guest on TAGS. I wonder if he has any connection to the Talor name being used on the show.

Yep! I'm proud of them. They changed my outlook on bluegrass music. The tenor vocalist, Jamie Dailey, and I are good friends. Do you enjoy DL&QS or do you go for another band? Glad to see some bluegrassin' people on the internet! LOL!

Hmm..... Maybe?

God Bless! :)

Glad to see some bluegrassin' people on the internet! LOL! Sure, I like DLQS. I can't say that I'm real familiar with their music. I should buy one of their CDs. The Grass Valley festival is a four day affair, and most of the bands play at least two of the days. Sometimes there is someone in particular that I want to see and hear play but I go there for all of the Bluegrass music, and just to enjoy the festival.

I'm not telling you what to do or anything, but if you do buy a cd, that is if you like gospel, try Gospel Parade. I love that cd. Thank God is also a great one. Thanks for chatting with me!
