Anyone else live here out east where we are currently being pelted with snow?

They are expecting up to 2 feet of snow where live. That's all well and good if I dont have anywhere to go BUT I have to work in the morning about 2 hours from here!
Yikes!

I heard about it, but I'm looking outside my window and don't see any snow whatsoever. Maybe it's coming later in the day to Long Island or maybe it's happening in some other part of the country.

Yeah, we have Winter Storm Watch. We're supposed to get anywhere from 8 inches to a foot of snow, east of Albany, where I am. It's supposed to start after midnight.

They just let all of our schools out early and they are cancelling all events for tonight. I have to work tomorrow in Franklin PA at 7 a.m. - that's an early trip in a snowstorm. Wish me luck getting there safely.

Have fun with the snow everyone :)

Snow started here in Northeastern NJ around 9 a.m. and it is coming down hard right now. Tomorrow it is supposed to be even heavier. Total accumulation by Sunday morning will be 6-12 inches.

I want snow. I live in Alabama and we usually get an inch or two a year. Of course, even the mention of snow here sends panicked shoppers to the store and closes school. I would hate to see what a foot of snow would do here. But, I love snow! One day, I am going to go to the Northeast when one of these nor'easters hit!

BTW: Ya'll are really in for it... some people north and west of NYC could see over a foot with strong winds of 30 to 40 mph tomorrow and blizzard conditions!

ENJOY! :)

OMG, it's been snowing here since like 10 last night and we've gotten at least 8 inches and we're supposed to get 3-6 inches this afternoon and tonight and then it's supposed to be even worse tomorrow. Yea, no school for us today.

The big storm is still in the Midwest, it's going to head east, the low is going to bomb out and track up the East Coast. Winds of 30 to 40 mph tomorrow with near blizzard conditions can be expected. Travel NOT advised.

What a mess!

I just got back from work in Scarsdale, NY and the roads are totally screwed up.

Manhattan is a big slushy mess as well.

Looks like I'm snowed in for the night.

Anyone know who I can call to get one of those St. Brenards dogs to deliver me some booze?

Not that I'm complaining...and not that this storm counts...

but why is it that the midwest could get buried under snow and the NE could get 2 inches and they have a ****ing blizzard on their hands and the midwest gets no attention at all??

This is why I don't like the NE. IT IS NOT THE ONLY PLACE IN THE US.

I'm being conservative on snow amounts with this one... I see a fly in the ointment that may lower snow totals some(a faster motion of the low).
