Is anyone else here an egg nog drinker,I sure am!,
every year my mom buys it at the store,Last I drank
so much of it on Christmas eve and got a tummy ache!

I love Egg Nog even though it's bad for me becase it's got so much fat in it. Doesnt' stop me though, I LOVe it :)

We never had it at our house when I was growing up much, but I now buy it for my boyfriend every year- otherwise he'd cry. LOL

I tried egg nog a few years ago and HATED it. :eek: :( (I know, pretty unusual!) But I see it's just as well because it's high in fat. :o

They use eggs in it, right? Well, I hate eggs with a passion... Can't eat 'em, but the smell's not so bad...

I love egg nog.

The thought of egg nog makes me sick, but I have an aversion to eggs.
I do make it over the holidays. I buy it, put it in a shaker with brandy, shake it so it gets nice and frothy. I pour it in a Christmas mug and sprinkle nutmeg on top.
Some people use rum, but I use Courvoisier cognac.

There is the 'light' version of the Egg nog with less fat and the non-alcoholic one for the non- drinkers. I like it with cinammon non- alcohol version

I've never tried it...it sounds so gross. You all seem to like it, though, so maybe it tastes better than it sounds :p

I tried egg nog yesterday for the first time. It was strange. I didn't like that much but I didn't not like the taste either. I guess it takes some getting used to.

You should try it. It's really good. It doesn't taste anything like eggs. It's really thick and creamy and sweet tasting. You don't have to buy a big carton of it. They sell it in little individual bottles too, so if you do buy some and don't like it you wouldn't be wasting too much money.

If you spike it, I will drink it.

I lovveee egg nog! But it's too thick for me so I like to get the light kind.

Check the label and you may not want to drink it again. A serving is considered 4 ounces. A regular four ounce serving of egg nog is 180 calories; the egg nog lite is only 40 calories less, 140 calories. People generally drink a 12 oz. glass, so if a person were to drink 12 ounces of regular egg nog, that would be 540 calories. When I was younger, we would mix it with Seagrams 7 whiskey. One of my friends drank so much that he threw up and it came out his nose. That's all the information I have about egg nog. Good night ladies and gentlemen. :wave:

Thanks for the info. I can use the extra calories since I'm a very small person so I don't mind all the caloric content. Keep the whiskey or rum out of it and it's fine with me:cool:
