I just got this email from the person responsible for PR for "The Division."

Hello Catrine.
Filming of season four of "The Division" is underway and new episodes will begin airing on Lifetime January 11. I spoke with our executive producer, and Tracey Needham will not be returning to the show. Apparently her story arc had ended and they decided to create a different character. That new character is Amy Jo Johnson ("Power Rangers" "Felicity") who will portray a police rookie named Stacy Newland.

So please sign this petition and send it back to me so we can send it to Lifetime, hoping that it will make them change their minds. To whom it may concern

We represent the many of fans who Love Tracey Needham, and are very upset to learn that she is leaving the show 'The Division.' We hope that in sending this there may be a way to keep her on the show. She started out on the show, and to say that the character arc has ended is a slap in the face to the thousands of people who watch the show for this amazing actress. You have only given us little bits about her childhood and the man who raped her. There is so much there that a 'true' writer could write about. Then there is the relationship of Nate and CD. How can that be an end of an arc when it has just begun? To me and I am sure many others would agree, that on someone's side that the character has come to an end of an arc is a cop out! We the fans deserve a better answer then that and hope that you will respect this, a! nd give us a better one in return.

i know that they used the phrase "story arc ending" and all that, but is there perhaps a chance that she just did not want to continue on with the show? has she got something else lined up? pehaps she has decided to go on to something new? is there any chance of that? i could respect that. i just hope that she was not fired, that it was not a political move. i hate when shows do that kind of stuff.

thanks for the word thing... since English isn't my native language I'm always glad when somebody points out my mistakes and I learn new words...

and as for the whole **** thing... it's pretty bitchy to go to someone's petition when they are hoping for it to be a success because they care about what happens to a loved character and then DISCOURAGE them

First off, I agree with candace~n~nathan, if you totally don't support this petition, just don't visit this thread.

Secondly, I don't think Cat or anyone else signing this petition really believes that they are going to change an entire show just because of us.
I signed the petition to draw attention to the fact that CD's character is a very loved and integral part of the whole show. What our petition could do is show much needed support, and I hope eventually CD's chacter will come back on. At this point, we don't know whether the decision is Lifetime's or Tracey's. But, I'm hoping that this petition will make some diffenence. If nothing else, maybe it'll show Tracey and/or lifetime just how much of a fan base she has.

And, please don't diss Cat. Just be happy someone cares enough about something to try and make a diffenence. There is always hope.

ADDING things to storylines is what happens all of the time anyways, or else there wouldn't be a storyline in the first place... so d'oh... what you said earlier was that we want the whole storyline to change or whatever... and that's not what we want... as for what you quoted, maybe you should re-read that. That part was CD's story arc so far, which we do not want to change either. But I guess you just don't get it.

and like hell you're not. If you hadn't been out to start something you woulda kept your mouth shut in the first place. And hope never is a bad thing. Poor you if you disagree.

exactly! First of all, we don't even want the entire show to change... this is about CD/Tracey and our support and that the fact that we HOPE that there's something we can do.

And as far as dissing me goes, let her... I can handle it. I'm sure she already realized she picked the wrong one to mess with.
