I just noticed the new Christmas picture at the top of the forum. When did they put that up? That's really festive. (or festivous, depending on what you celebrate)

I K N O W ! Did they have color film in the 50's? Maybe it's a real color picture. I don't dislike color (I even have a color TV) I just hate when they colorize black and white. I hate fake color, I guess you could say.:mad:

BUT BUT BUT that's what i mean, that's a still from the color version of the I love Lucy Christmas special, so you just looked at a colorized photo, get the visine, call the optometrist, i think she's a gonner guys!

Are you sure that's from the Christmas episode? I don't remember them dressed like Santas. I thought that was just a little add on to one of the earlier episodes where that 4th Santa comes out.

The picture comes from The I Love Lucy Christmas show where the REAL Santa has just dissapeared and they are grouped together and tell us all, the audience, to have a Merry Christmas. Do you know how many times i had to sit trough that colorized version to tape it for someone, trust me, i know! LOL!

Funny you should say that and i hate to bring it up because it gives credence to Laura's argument about colorization, but if you look at the colorized version they all have different colored faces. Of course Lucy always had that thick pancake make up, and Desi was tanned, but what's the Mertz's scuse?

Both girls look about average for women on screen then - well powdered up! Fred looks fairly natural too. Bit red in the cheeks for probably obvious reasons! And Ricky is natural lucky sod colour. I'm cold...! It's winter. And he looks like he's been holidaying in Havana.

Hmm. Sounds like a good title for a film there...

I just saw this episode today and guess what? You're right, the picture is from that episode. :lol: There was another skit where they dressed up as Santas though and they went around the tree and when they came back there was another Santa with them. Do you remember seeing that? I'm not making it up, I promise.

Of course i remember that one too, it was tacked on to one of the episodes for a Christmas showing, you know, an ep that hap[pened to be shown at Christmastime, so they added that little bit, it was a different Santa but the exact same prenise.
