I always enjoyed when Lowell sang the song "Moon River". Once on "Cheers" they played that song on the juke box, and I thought of Lowell. I think he sang it in 2 episodes, "The Puppetmaster" and "Gone But Not Faygotten".

The song, Moon River, holds a very special place in my heart. When the song came out in 1962, from the movie, Breakfast At Tiffany's, I was four. I made my mother buy me the record. I guess I used to stand on the coffee table and perform the song for my family.

Moon River is the song I danced to at my wedding with my husband 18 years ago.

When Lowell sang it and butchered the words, I got a real kick out of it. I still loved it because it has that nostalgic harmony.
I also heard it on Cheers. I can spot that song a mile away...in a restaurant, the Musak version in stores...in the background in movies or TV...Moon River can never escape me.

I'll always love the song. :music:

At Linens n' Things, they sell CDs, usually instrumental, for dinner parties. In every collection made exclusively for the store, you're bound to find at least four discs during the year that include "Moon River" in the playlist.
They also have a little machine that plays the songs if you touch the album cover or type in a number (they're a little behind on music-selling technology and haven't picked up one of those FYE/Strawberries/Wal-Mart barcode scanners)

awww.

Yeah, It's funny because indirectly, that song means something to me too. lol.
For my whole life, every time I hear that song when my mom is around, she is always like, "awwww! This is mine and my mom's song!" lol. So in a way, it's turned into mine and MY mom's song, since when we hear it together now, we're always like, "awwww!!!" hahaha.

It is funny when Lowell sings it. lol
