Yes it is. Enjoy it, because I think they only used it in the pilot.

Ugh, ABC Family started the show at 11:57a and I missed part of the theme, and the 2nd episode (airing at 3:30p) had the syndicated theme.

ABC Family starts all it's sitcoms in the daytime at :58 and :28 after... just a warning.

But on weekends, they start it at :00 and :30.

I know, it's a crazy channel.

The reason for the weekdays :58 and :28 or so thing, is that around 7 p.m. or so they have an Us Magazine report or something.

Will the pilot be airing again anytime soon? #3 and #4 are scheduled to be repeated Saturday.

Ok I tried to tape the eps at 11 and 2:30(central) and 7th Heaven and Step by Step were on instead did my Guide show the wrong time or something?

snowpeck
12-01-2003, 05:57 PM
Well, that's what would have been on at noon and 3:30 central. Somebody goofed up somewhere.

Oops, they aren't airing #3 and #4. They are airing the first two episodes of season 6, and those are the ones that are reairing on Saturday. Don't be surprised if seasons 1-5 never air on ABC Family.

Greg

No... not in the next 2 weeks. I'll let you know when I spot it, but it will probably be a while.

I agree Snowpeck... the only reason ABC Family is airing Full House 1 million times a week is because of Mary-Kate and Ashley. We all know that.

On the timers... I am not sure. It's 11am and 230pm CST. Try setting it for 12 and 330 since 7th Heaven airs at 11am EST and Step By Step from 2 to 3pm EST. Growing Pains airs at 1230pm EST and Family Matters from 1 to 2pm EST.

Well, if they are going to air seasons 1-5 though, it'll be a lot sooner when they get back to the pilot. Did season 6 have the complete opens or is that when they started shortening the theme?

Greg

Nope... only the pilot had the full theme, they got shorter and shorter. I think the theme for the 5th season was basically the same til the end.

They used the full theme until at least season 5, but I don't know about season 6 and on. Did you even watch the show on ABC in the 80s?

Greg

Well, Season 5 is on now, and I doubt we see the extended theme outside of the pilot, just based on the fact that the second episode had the shorter version. I don't expect to see the long version anymore.

No, I didn't watch the show on ABC.

Actually, they are showing season 6. And we have only seen one other episode from the years they were using the long theme and it was the syndicated version. It was never seen on ABC at any time.

Let's see what the opening looked exactly like. Now that Nick at Nite uses the shortened theme from seasons 1-5. The same short opening used to be shown on TBS, WGN and WB11 at the time and ABC Family is sometimes showing the full opening especially for seasons 1-5. Here's the full original theme in MPEG format at http://www.sitcomsonline.com/videoclips/fullhouse.mpg

Brent88

That's not the theme ABC Family used for the pilot. ABC Family used this one:

Thanks, Brent88. I've never seen the full version of that theme since I was working at Gateway.

And since it became the Michelle Show in Season 5...yep. We'll never see 1-4 definetly unless it's on N@N.

I agree sadly DawsonGirl and the bad part is, it will only take about 9 weeks to get back around again, meaning these episodes will be killed into the ground.

Where can I find the original opening of the pilot that I can download off from one of the sites? I haven't seen it before.

I have the first episode of "Full House" on video includes the short theme but not the full version. It was from WPIX's "Full Day of Full House" marathon.

Thanks a lot! I thought the link to the .ram files are not working. I watched the first season opening and it was great. I've never seen that first season opening before. I didn't seen it since it was on ABC Family.

Nick at Nite now has season 1-5 of "Full House". Seasons 6-8 are shown both on ABC Family and Nick at Nite.

No... N@N just started on the 6th season this past week. They will be showing the same episodes ABC Family does within a short period of time.

Extremely annoying if you ask me.

Did anybody happen to catch (or is anyone in the West planning to catch) the 12 noon airing of "Our Very First Christmas Show"? Which opening does it have?

The syndicated version. They showed that episode Friday at 7 too...

I've seen the opening theme in the first season on the internet. Did they say in the credits after Jodie Sweetin which it says Mary Kate/Ashley Olsen? I know the billing doesn't say that before the second season.

Brent88
12-15-2003, 11:20 PM
The original opening didn't credit Mary Kate and Ashley but the syndicated version did.
