I wish the Season 1 DVDs had a feature that allows you to turn off the music that runs during some of the episodes! Some of it is so corny, especially the music that's meant to establish "dramatic tension." You hear it to the n-th degree in the episode "Where You Been, Fassbinder?" particularly when Sally's alone. Then there's the music at the beginning of "The Blonde-Hair Brunette," when Laura is looking into the mirror, doubting herself. I wish the producers would have let those scenes play without any music at all; it would have been more effective. Or if they had to have music, too bad they didn't get better tunes!
