Okay lets VENT about our Christmas woes. :stocking:

I hate it when customers throw all the clothes all over the place. They have no disregard for the workers who work there and collect a measley paycheck. :boxing: :stocking: :(

My father is in the hospital recovering from a heart transplant. He wasn't home for Thanksgiving, and won't be home for Christmas.

I'd take your customer woes over my own any day.

I'm sorry about your father, and I hope he makes a complete recovery, yet Pitooey created this topic to discuss Christmas problems. I'm not implying that you have no right to talk about your father; however, to dismiss Pitooey's complaint isn't fair in my opinion.

My family has been been to hell and back. I could, in three sentences, make anyone's problem on this website seem like a hangnail, but I won't.

Venting about Christmas woes -- I hate when an item is marked on sale but it rings up at regular price, and you don't notice it until you get home and look at the receipt.

I hate it when there are 15 registers, and only 3 or 4 are open at peak hours.

I hate having to park a the length of two football fields away from the store because of the CROWDS, which I can't stand either.

It drives me crazy when I can't find when I want. I wish online shopping didn't charge so much for shipping. I'd never leave the house.

I hate chicks that walk through a crowded mall like they are the only ones there. They don't care who they bump into, and they make no effort to avoid bumping into someone. Many of them are not even watching where they are walking. They are either looking off to the side or talking on a damn cell phone. Its even worse in stores where they have shopping carts .

People. Girls aren't the only ones that do that too, y'know. But yes, I know how you feel. I'm constantly having to swerve around rude people like that. UGH, it just burns me up!!!!!!! :livid: All cell phones should be turned off when people check into the mall, and they need a head check at the door as well! ohno: I don't have a cell phone (Now stop staring at me) and I don't ever intend to have one. Why have one when I can make calls off other peoples' phones? :D

I hate crowds. I hate crowds NORMALLY so put me in a store at Chrtistmas and see how much more I hate them.

I hate when you are trying to walk through a store - take tonight. I go into Walmart to buy yarn. I know what I want, I know where it's at, it's all I'm getting. I get behind this woman who is taking her time walking, like she has NO WHERE TO GO, she's waddling up the entire aisle, I can't get around her. I hate when you are trying to get through a store and people are lollygagging around and you can't get past them. I want to holler GET THE HE!! out of my way!!!!!!!

I hate that I can go to any named store and find all sorts of stuff I'd love to have for Christmas but that I have no one to buy anything for me. I hate that I dont even write a Christmas wish list because what the heck is the point :(

What I LIKE is that where I work they put up "FREE PARKING" signs from now until Christmas. I dont have to pay meters for the month :) Go free parking!

Thank you Janice... As for Jayman I'm sorry to hear about your father.

:( I hate it when you are signaling to make a left turn while driving and the person speeds up just as you're trying to make the turn. (?). It happened to me today while I was going to Toys R Us so I feel that this is a Christmas vent. :( peace:

First of all, I made this Christmas party signup list at work for who gets to bring what for goodies, and this lady there said I drew "evil-looking" elves!!

I also hate the fact that they play tons and tons of "improvisational" Christmas tunes everywhere, the really jazzy ones when the original tune is supposed to be calm and solemn...

I hate when you're behind someone in the parking lot, and they stop and wait on another car to back out just so they can get their spot, when there is one maybe 3 places over. Gaaa, lazy people.

Call me Grinch peace: but I get fumed over having to say "Hi, Merry Christmas...Thanks...You have a good day too," on the way in and on the way out of the grocery store or anywhere else those dadburned bell-ringer people with the donation buckets are hanging out.

Ok, we all have our problems but why vent them at Christmas? After all it is a celebration of Jesus' birth. There is a thread about Christmas being too commercial. Well, I guess this all ties in! Let's think about the real meaning of Christmas for a change! This is supposed to be a season of happiness and great joy so let's try to remember this!. Sorry if I sound "preachy" but think about it for goodness sake!

Oh my gosh, I used to be a cashier and I feel your pain. Someone will buy like a 30 lb. turkey and the carry-out boy usually isn't around and you have to wrestle it into one of those dinky plastic bags. It's like trying to jam an elephant into a purse or something. Then, the bag usually starts ripping and you have to double-bag it. By the time you get it bagged, you're worn out.
Anyway....
Some things I dislike about Christmas-

I think it's too commercial. It's all about the all mighty dollar anymore, and really, that's not at all what it's about. I really hate that I don't get to go shopping this year or do anything for Christmas, but I'm just going to have to deal with it.

Santa. I like him, but it seems like he's taking over! On TV, most of the Christmas movies are about him, and the kids are always like, "SANTA, SANTA!!!!"

The Christmas music that has been playing at work since Halloween....It makes me want to shoot myself!!!!! I love Christmas music, but I don't know where they got this crap. One of the songs goes, "Thanks for the snow, the snow for Johnny, NOw he can build a BIG snowman!!!!!" AHHHHHHHHH!!!! Try listening to this about once every hour from 8 AM TO 4 PM since November 1st. I'm going to end up holding all the customers hostage until they turn off that damn tape!

I LOVE Christmas, but I do have complaints.

First, I hate people who either decorate before Thanksgiving or leave their Christmas lights up all year(the latter especially) it just bugs me. Also, the whole family part of it. I am not a very talkative person in real-life, so I usually just go to a room with a TV and shut the door and watch TV if we're not opening presents(I do that during every family gathering though)

The Reason For The Season by Stryper

[Verse 1]
You, you say that you've got it figured out
That life's about, you do what you want to.
You, you walk the tightrope of unbelief
Can't you see? His way is reality.
We all know it's better to give that receive
Then why don't we give God the glory?
Don't hide it, don't fight it, just beleive.

[Chorus 1]
He is the reason for the season.
He is the reason for today.
He is the reason for the season.
Celebrate, celebrate.

[Verse 2]
You, your life can be a holiday
Everyday when He is with you.
Hey, let's get back to what it's all about.
Shout it out. Christ is the reason.
We all know it's better to give that receive
His gift is for those who beleive.
You got it if you want it, just beleive.

[Chorus 2]
He is the reason for the season.
He is the reason for today.
He is the reason for the season.
Celebrate.

[Repeat Chorus 1 and 2]

I get real disappointed when people ask you what you want for Christmas or you'll see something you want and they'll say don't buy anything before Christmas just put in on your Xmas list. Then on Christmas morning when you're opening up your gifts you get totally different stuff and then you have to act like you love it. Then months or a year later I eventally give it to GoodWill. And yes Christmas is getting way to commercialized.

Today I went to, Famous Footwear, a store that carries all kinds of, well...famous footwear.
I had New Balance sneakers and Rockport shoes for my husband (from Santa).
The guy at the register seemed nice enough. He asked me to sign up for their Reward's Program, whatever that is, so I did. He wasn't talking to anyone, only me.
I'm not one for small talk with strangers, but the Christmas spirit overtook me, and I asked him how his shopping was going. He said, "Just about done." I said, "Good for you."
Then, he immediately started up a conversation with the girl working at the next register....telling her that his wife took their kids for Santa pics, his Christmas plans...blah, blah, blah...droned on and on.
He didn't include me whatsoever, no eye contact. They just treated me as if I was invisible. He handled my transaction while gabbing with the girl. He got so wrapped up in conversation with her that he never spoke to me again, not even to thank me.
The bitch in me then reared it's ugly but useful head and clobbered the Christmas spirit in me, and I said, "You're welcome" as I walked away. I didn't whisper it either.
It's not the worst offense in the world, but it was rude.

:smash: <-----------Bitch clobbering the Christmas spirit in me.

I use to feel exactly like you but I thought of a solution to get me through Christmas time without my beloved friends and father. On my tree I put ornaments for people who have passed away. Like for one of my friends I chose a white dove and i put it on my tree every year. Each year as I pull it out of the box I think of her and the good times we had. For my beloved Dad I bought a small Christmas tree and I put small ornaments and lights and I have it on a table so whenever I look at the small tree I feel it's a symbol to my Dad. It makes me feel much better because I feel like they are still close to me. :tree:
