I live in Nebraska (the Husker state), and I found out that Nebraska's head coach, Frank Solich was fired because of him not having a good game record or something to that matter. I have to admit that the Huskers have not really had a good game season, but they sure kicked Colorado's butt in the Friday football game...31-22 :) So, with that score I thought he would stay but apparently not :( Also, with that victory, I believe the Huskers still have hope! :) I have to admit I'm not a big football fanatic, but I do keep an eye on my fave football teams scores. If anyone heard the news of Nebraska Head Coach Frank Solich being let go, what are your thoughts on it? Thanks!

My thoughts: I think Frank Solich should stay and be given a second chance :)

I would think that after they beat Colorado, they'd keep him. I heard that they were thinking about it. Everyone in my family is a Husker-freak.

p.s. This should be on the Chit Chat-Sports Board.

I am a huge husker fan and I can see, why he was fired, and why he shouldn't be. Since Frank Solich has been the head coach recruiting hasn't been very good which has led to a lack of depth at certin positions. When he first took over as coach he still had the players that Tom Osborn recruited, and ever since Frank recruits were not that good with the exception of a few guys. Also all the losses Frank has had they have been blow outs, which doesn't happen much around here. Frank has also let some major winning streaks slide. So I can see were AD Steve Pederson wants to make a change, however the timming is bad and will hurt recruiting somewhat, depending on who the next Husker coach is.

I also feel however that Frank should have gotten a second chance, since we got new coaches last year, and we did improve from a 7-7 season to a 9-3 or possible 10-3 season pending the outcome of the bowl game, so Husker fans are kind of scratching there heads on this move. I went to Huskerpedia last night and it was overloaded.

So Steve Pederson better find a good coach, or hewill be the next to go.
