What happened to the Gilligan's Island movie that was supposed to come out on THE BIG SCREEN a few years ago?

Jim Carey was supposed to play Gilligan and I still think he would be the best choice for Gilligan after seeing him in Dumb and Dumber.

John Goodman was supposed to be the Skipper.
