If you liked the show, you may have liked the movie even better.
For those of us who haven't seen it in awhile, this is for you. The original 1963 movie, starring Glenn Ford-Shirley Jones-Ron Howard-Jerry Van Dyke, is going to be on TCM next month. So far, the only showtime I found was for Monday, December 22 at 12:30PM/ET. I will definitely keep checking for more listings.:talk:

Yes, it is a very good movie. I love the series more, though!
I just saw the movie on video a couple of months ago. There are many elements in the movie that were also used in the series: various character names (besides the obvious), plot lines for episodes, and conversations between Eddie and Tom that were used as "peanuts" in the series. It is fun to watch the movie and see how many of those elements you can discover.

Thanks for posting that this will be on TCM. I will definitely watch it again.
