View Full Version : "Big" Mistake Found!!
Dilly 11-29-2003, 03:50 PM I found a mistake on King of Queens. Someone definitely goofed!
There was an episode where Arthur is showing Doug his old photo album. Doug was shocked to discover how enormous Carries mom was. Arthur says yeah that's AFTER her diet and about how all Spooner women gain weight. The episode was about Doug trying to get Carrie to go on a diet so she doesn't take after her mom.
Well, on last nights rerun, it was a flashback of Doug meeting Carries parents. Who plays Carrie's mom? Florence Henderson, the tiniest mom in sitcom history. Big Goof!
the truth 11-29-2003, 06:28 PM Not 100% correct, but I think Carrie's mom died and Arthur remarried a couple of times in fact. Henderson played the one before Tessie I believe who "died" in the 1st episode and who we never saw.
I don't swear to this but I think that's the case.

Yeah, I also thought Florence Hendersons's character was Carrie's stepmom.
Adamantium 11-29-2003, 06:45 PM Florence Henderson even said "I know I'm not really your Mom, but ..." The actress who played Amanda Moyer on "Ned & Stacey" played Carrie's mom in a flash back scene to Carrie's birth. It was from the first season, the 25th episode I believe.

So my mom WAS right about Nadia Dajini being Carrie's mother!!!
She was also in another episode of KOQ and she had long brunette hair.
It makes me feel like vomiting, but she was also on an episode of 'Sex and the City'.
Um, my stomach is feeling a bit queezy now. I have an odd hatrid for that show.
I can't watch it without making fun of it.

I probably wouldn't have recognized her, but I did a check of her career on the IMDB. And sure enough, it's her. "King of Queens" was created by the same guy who created "Ned & Stacey".
Dilly 11-30-2003, 04:14 AM I wasn't aware Arthur was married so many times. Hard to keep it straight.
glenny 11-30-2003, 07:38 AM Arthur was married 3 times. He was first married to Sophia; Carrie and Sara's mom, his second wife was Lily (played by Florance Henderson), and then to Tessie; his third wife who died during the pilot episode. He also wanted to propose marriage to Doug's Aunt Sheila.....but he found out she was just looking to have a good time..."working herself through the old men of Queens."

Yup. Hanley Productions (pph. I can't spell this morning. I'll need to check the end logos on my N&S tape) makes some of the best stuff on television (With GrubStreet in a close second).
the truth 11-30-2003, 04:10 PM Michael Weithorn worked on Ned & Stacey and King of Queens. Arthur's old friend was also on N&S if you remember.
Yes, Nadia Dajani is Carrie's mother.....
.....and Natalie Portman is Princess Leia's mother too!
