I used to visit this website to find information on some of my favorite shows from my childhood. But a while back the link to the site wouldn't connect. I have stumbled to a reconstructed version of this site. Here is a link to the reconstructed page.

None of the interactive features work like the message boards however. Does anyone know what happened to bring this site down?

This is only my guess as I really don't know what happened, but their site was run as a business with paid employees and even offices I believe. Their operating costs may have exceeded their revenues and they didn't want to pour any more money into it so they pulled the plug. It did seem very sudden, it was there one day and then just disappeared without any explanation.

Why did they just abandon it though? They could have at least had a message explaining what happened and why it was closing or they could have scaled down on bandwidth or something. It was rather rude how they just shut down without any good bye at all.

Just tried logging in to the link listed above and was redirected to http://www.elsewhere.org/cgi-bin/yland.cgi/

It gives a little explanation to why the site went down.

I do thank Josh from elsewhere.org for hosting the archive for as long as he did. And for listing two alternate links for yesterdayland's archive pages.
