Has he even released a cd yet?!?! I mean, Clay's getting all the fame (I'm not complaining, I love Clay) but I mean, Ruben IS the American Idol, and I think he's disappeared off the face of the Earth...

exactly where he was destined to be: out of the spotlight :) He'll make a few appearances on AI3 (gotta milk it for all its worth) and then maybe a television appearance here or there but then he'll die out. Clay and Kim are both performing at a big concert here in December.. I guess they didn't want Ruben.

Ruben's probably used up all his AI winnings and can currently be seen hanging out at any Ryan's Steak House or China Town buffet court on any given day

Its so true about the whereabouts of Ruben.. no one really wants him, but what Clay does, he has to too.. because of his AI title. It pisses me off when I hear of all the shows Clay is gonna be on, and then at the last minute they say Ruben will be on too... :cuss: Like at the AMA's, I heard about all the performers like a month or so ago, and was all excited to hear Clay, then 2 weeks before it was on, I heard he'd be doing a duet with Ruben.

I think it's pretty obvious who the real American Idol is and that the show was fixed.

I don't think it's fair at all. Clay lost and he get's more fame. Point of American Idol is for one person to win and the other to lose and never to be seen agian. But nooooooo!!!

Yeah, I don't get the fact how Clay is EVERYWHERE and Ruben is nowhere to be found. Also, I'm confused on this, why is it always "Clay and Ruben?" Do they have to go everywhere together? We never hear "Kelly and Justin" appearing everywhere together. Does Clay still seem a little upset that he lost? It's like he's always making some smart remark about how he lost. He needs to seriously get over it.

What's "not fair" about it? You have to MAKE yourself be known. Clay accepted the fact that he lost, but he's not going to sit around moping about it. He put out an album and tours the country, making himself be known, and apparently, people love him if his album has gone Double Platinum in the first week.

And on the topic of Ruben, he could be known too, if he really tried. If you ever see Ruben on TV, notice how he always sits there with a blank look on his face. His personality is extremely lackadaisical from what I've seen of it. He's not a people person. And what about his album? It's been delayed 3 times already.

Then there's the people... everyone knows that if that night back in May, on the last episode of American Idol, was revoted today, Clay would have won. But then again, the title of "American Idol" doesn't really mean anything anymore... it's what you do beyond that.

Um. IMO he doesn't need to get over anything. He's gone beyond American Idol and made himself known. He hasn't let his fans down. And we all know Clay has a big fan-base. To be honest, i've heard nothing about Ruben lately. Clay doesn't need to get over anything. He may not have "won" American Idol. But he's won the hearts of all his many fans. And isn't that all that matters? I never watched American Idol but i'm a big Clay fan and know some stuff about the show. And when it's over, American Idol doesn't matter anymore right? Clay has only proved it, And as it seems some people aren't accepting it too well. Thats just my two cents.

AI2 ended this summer, why do you guys expect him to release an album so quickly?... Maybe he doesn't want his album to be as manufactured as Clay and Kelly's.

Once this girl at idolforums got to go backstage, and she posted about her experience. She said that Ruben looked and acted like he was about to pass out (cuz he was so tired), and that Ruben was like "Can we just take the picture now?" She was a little dissapointed that she was rushed into things by him.

Everyone needs to get over the whole American Idol thing. It was a TV show and they were the final two. Woo hoo. The show basically gave them their start and now they're both free to do what they want. People need to stop thinking of Ruben and Clay as the winner and runner up on AI2, and think of them as artists.

And you say Justin and Kelly were never together? They made a movie.....

And also, it's not fair to attack Clay because he's more popular. Who's making him this popular? His fans. No one is forcing anyone to go out and buy his CD.

He needs to seriously get over it. The reason why you dont hear of Justin anymore is because no one likes him. Seriously, in his first week of sales, he sold 57,000 CD's-- not 570,000. Thats muy pathetico. He had a fan base on AI, but once that was over, no one cared. Not to mention he put his album out this past June. They shouldve (along with Kelly's) put it out ASAP- they wouldve had better sales. Off topic, but Justin is in need of a haircut.:o

As for the remark about Kelly & Clays CD being "manufactured", theyre not. You said "why do you guys expect him to release an album so quickly?... " well, Kelly's CD was put out in April.. about 7 months after the show.. I wouldnt call that rushing it. Not to mention Clay and Kelly's CD got good reviews all around. Justin's, however, did not.

It only makes sense to put out the cds right away. With Kelly Clarkson, by the time her cd came out I was like..."Kelly who?"

They need to sell it while it's hot...

They need to sell it while it's hot... Thats kinda true, but sometimes artists want to take time on their album rather than releasing a sorry album.

Clay's CD didnt take too long, but it's still a really good album. It all depends on the artist.

Justin---I think he's a better performer than a singer.
