I'd want it to be a website about my favorite TV shows. Would I need permission to use images of the characters? Or could I just go ahead and start posting pictures and show stuff?

I dunno, technically you prolly would, but I HIGHLY doubt all these other fansites are getting "permission"

If they single you out and arrest you for this, than that'll be a load of bull.

I agree, a lot of people do it without getting permission first. There's so many sites on the net it would be impossible to nail everyone. Unless, your site becomes extremely popular I wouldn't worry. :wave:

All you have to do to make sure that they can't do anything to you, is to put something at the bottom of your your website's menu page, that says for example: I am in no way affiliated with Deidre Hall, Drake Hogestyn, NBC, Corday Productions, or Sony Television.-----Then maybe you could put something that says that the characters, and list there names, are copyrighted by whatever show it is. That way, they can't do anything to you if they wanted to.
