Okay, I don't know if any of you all have come in contact with this yet, but I cannot get rid of it. Okay, so one of my online friends opened a website, not knowing that as soon as she opened it, it started installing a virus on her computer, and this one travels FAST. Ok, so I go to open and look at her new profile, and it has a link that says "Whoaa...look at this" So I click it, and it installs the virus on my computer. I ran my virus scanner without any luck, so I don't know what to do. I reinstalled everything on aim last night, got a new username, and it went away, atleast I thought it did. It was back this morning when I got online. I don't know what to do, because I don't want it to travel to more computers, but I can't delete the link, so I am stuck. Has anyone else saw anything like this yet on aim? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of it? Thanks.

My friend had that in her profile and I clicked it but nothing happened to me. It did screw up a lot of other people's stuff though. There's a website you can go to to get rid of it, but I don't know what it is.

Ick. I've had that one before...however, this is your lucky day, because I know how to get rid of it. :D I know I saved the directions somewhere.....once I find some I'll post them for you.

Alright first thing's first, dl this program:

http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10227352.html?tag=lst-0-1

Then after it finishes dl-ing, do a scan, then post the log of whatever it finds. Next step is to post that on a different message board, especially made for virus problems etc. But I'll do that part, you just have to dl the program. :)

Mmk well I'm glad of three things.

1. That I ALWAYS look at the URL before clicking a site (I figured something called talkstocks wouldn't be interesting).
2. That Jackie told me it was a virus in Nigel's pro.
3. That, if no one had told me these things, what happened to Amy did not happen to me in the middle of the night

Yep, that's it. Sorry it took so long but I was busy. Anyway, I posted it for you here (http://forums.spywareinfo.com/index.php?act=ST&f=11&t=19069). When someone replies, I'll tell you. :)
