I have spent 40 dollars on the last two CD Walkmans and have had the same problem. When I press play, NO DISC appears on the screen? Does anyone know why this happens?

I said the CD is inside the Walkman and when i press play-the message NO DISC appears on the screen. So i'm trying to figure out does that come from dropping it or just the CD walkman being cheap? fr00ti 11-26-2003, 10:13 PM Next time don't be a cheap ass. Did they have scratches? TVFactFan 11-26-2003, 10:42 PM Originally posted by Brian Were the CD's you put in used a lot? Did they have scratches? No two of them are brand new. That's why I thought it was the CD walkman Mijada 11-26-2003, 11:24 PM Sometimes I have that problem. When I do I just open the thing back up and make sure the CD is in there all the way. Sometimes it just isn't in there straight. Try that and if it doesn't work maybe you should invest a little more money for a better discman. $40 is kinda cheap. Buy a good name brand one. Stay away from those off brands. TVFactFan 11-26-2003, 11:43 PM Originally posted by Mijada Sometimes I have that problem. The brand was Colby Georgia's on my Mind 11-27-2003, 12:03 AM i bought my cd walkman thing last year for $20, it just broke last week...i was pissed and really cant afford a new one..so i attempted to fix it. ntheres a warning inside that says "do not touch lens" well ...i pushed the lens down and shook it and guess what? my cd player now works perfectly again. yay/ TheHappyBurgerMeister 11-27-2003, 01:43 AM I just bought a new CD walkman like 2 or 3 years ago. The one I had before that I had for like 5 years and it started to make these weird noises. Anyway, the one I have now is a Sony and I spend like 100 bucks on it. I say, if you want a nice one spend at least like 90 or 100 bucks. Also, what I really like about this one is it also has an AM/FM radio with it, too. For me that's really nice, because after I listen to CD's I'll listen to the radio. With my old CD walkman I had to transfer over to my other walkman that had a radio. So, that's just a suggestion. :) Czas na Zywiec 11-27-2003, 01:55 AM I bought my CD player in 1996, and it's running as good as the first time I listened to it. I paid about $70 for it, so it was a bit of a strain, but hey, if its lasted for 7 years, it's more than worth it. My advice is to get a good brand name and one that's more than $20 - $30. By the way, I have a Panasonic XBS. Mr. Stefani 11-27-2003, 02:07 AM I go through like 3 discmans a year. |
