callmetootie 04-19-2001, 10:04 PM Shoplifting is my favorite episode. Jo, Natalie, and Tootie want to get a better present for Mrs. G's birthday, then Blair. They go to Harrison's, and Jo steals an expensive shirt. Mrs. G wants to exchange it, and she gets arrested. It is so funny, but has only been shown once on Nick At Nite.

Blair&Nat79-88 04-19-2001, 10:07 PM Shoplifting wasn't one of the controversial episodes, but aired during the marathon (both times it was on). It was about Natalie, Tootie, and Jo buying a present for Mrs.G's birthday. The thing that Mrs. G really wanted was a hawaiian blouse, and Jo saw that it was on sale and by the time the girls got back to the store, the ad was off. The shirt was back at its regular price, and the girls couldn't afford to get it. Jo got a bright idea and went into the dressing room, and put it on under her clothes and she walked out of the store with it--there's the title of the ep.
Nat, Jo, and Tootie wrapped it up and gave it to Mrs. G for her birthday (Blair gave her a purse), but it was a size too small. She went back to the store to exchange it, and the person at the counter was going to exchange it, when the security guard guy came over to Mrs. G and she was busted for stealing it, even though she didn't.
I think Jo got in trouble but I can't recall how it ended, but the shirt got returned and Mrs. G bought it anyway, or something. Maybe someone can help me with the ending.

Nat: Who wants to be a skinny pencil? I'd rather be a happy magic marker!
Blair: Blow it out your track shoes!
Tootie: ...the thrill of victory and the agony of Da-Feet!
Jo: Here's to all who wish me well, all the rest can go to...JERSEY!
Mrs.G.: May God bless all your footsteps (from her last episode)

The ending is this. Ms. Garrett went ahead and got the smaller size and put it on layaway. To pay for it, Jo had to work for HArrsion's on weekends. Since Natalie and Tootie's names were on the gift, they had to do both thier and Jo's chores while Jo was working at Harrison's.
Blair&Nat79-88 04-20-2001, 01:24 AM Oh yeah, now I remember. Thanks
Devastation26!!!! I really appreciate you helping me out......it's been so long since I saw that ep, N@N should show it again to refresh the memory http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif
