I was just wondering how many episodes everyone has seen. I know it's probably posted somewhere else on one of the posts, but I was just wondering.

I've seen over 153 episodes, but some of them I can't remember .

I think that I've seen about 201 or 202. I've seen everything that Nick At Nite has aired plus about 3 controversal episodes. I've seen Dope, Fear Strikes Back, and The First Time.

I've seen all the eps that N@N has aired so far, which is about a hundred and ninety something, with the exception of "Gamma Gamma or Bust." I may have seen the controversial eps back in the 80's, but that was too long ago for me to remember (I forot that I've seen "Let's Party" until I recognized it on N@N).

I've seen 190 out of 209 episodes.....most of the ones that I've missed are the controversial ones, like Dope, Breaking Point, The Source, Front Page, Fear Strikes Back, I'm Dancing as Fast as I Can, and The First Time.
I surely hope that some if not all of these will be shown this summer on N@N. Let's all keep writing those letters to the cable network!

Nat: Who wants to be a skinny pencil? I'd rather be a happy magic marker!

Blair: Blow it out your track shoes!

Tootie: ...the thrill of victory and the agony of Da-Feet!

Jo: Here's to all who wish me well, all the rest can go to...JERSEY!

Mrs.G.: May God bless all your footsteps (from her last episode)

I have seen about 175 of them. The ones I haven't seen are the three controversial eps. And about 30 scattered through the rest of the run.

Yes! Actually all of this wasn't planned. Last week I saw part of a movie called "For Better Or For Worse" on Hallmark that had Lisa Welshel and Kim Fields in it. I wasn't able to watch the whole thing because I had to go to work and unfortunately it's not scheduled to air anytime soon. So I put Lisa's name in my DVR to automatically record. It's been taping Facts of Life and I decided to get reacquainted with the show. So far I'm on Season 2 and I really like Jo. I thought about just deleting the eps, but I decided to watch them all. It's fun watching a show that I hadn't seen in ages. I bet there are a lot of eps I haven't seen even though I think I used to watch the show on a regular basis.

That's the season that started the change of tone in the show. There were hardly no serious episodes and it became a full on sitcom for laughs. I didn't mind season 6. I like majority of the episodes that year. You probably won't be impressed with the following 3 seasons either. It's very similar to season 6 with just the girls having fun times and no serious issues.

There was really no reason for Jo to feel left out. She had moments with the girls in season 2 and 3. She could have brought up moments they shared. Instead they just acted like they never met or spent any time with each other. It was weird.

Well, they had never been roommates. And Tootie herself said (and Jo confirmed) that they knew each other. So they didn't act like they never met, just that they hadn't been close. Which they weren't.

But they didn't really share many moments, or live together, so to me it wasn't weird.

Well, they had never been roommates. And Tootie herself said (and Jo confirmed) that they knew each other. So they didn't act like they never met, just that they hadn't been close. Which they weren't.

Exactly. The "charter 7" had an entire year living together in their dorm. They had an enormous chapter of memories they shared together (all through "The Crock", Mr. Bradley, and having Mrs. Garrett as a housemother) before Jo ever came on the scene; and once she did, their school lives went in two distinct, separate directions.

RetroGuy2000

The "charter 7" had an entire year living together in their dorm.

In some cases, maybe even more than a year, as we've discussed. Season One wasn't Blair or Sue Ann's first year at Eastland, since they had both previously won annual student awards (Fall Harvest Queen and 1st place in the 880): they clearly had both been at Eastland for at least two years prior to Season One. And Season One was also clearly Tootie, Molly, and Nancy's (at least) second year, since they were previously seen hanging around with Jennifer, Laura, and Kimberly in Spring 1979.

Only Cindy and Natalie seem to have arrived at the beginning of Season One, although it could even be debated that with the closeness we see between Natalie and Tootie, Natalie predates Season One as well, and maybe she was just absent that day at Eastland/Eastlake... or eating cake up in her room!

Only Cindy seems likely to have arrived at Eastland in Season One: she wasn't seen in the backdoor pilot, and she referred to Season One as "that first year".

They had an enormous chapter of memories they shared together (all through "The Crock", Mr. Bradley, and having Mrs. Garrett as a housemother) before Jo ever came on the scene; and once she did, their school lives went in two distinct, separate directions.

Yes. Although we see them occasionally afterwards, it's clear they are no longer roommates, and are missing from most of the Core Four's adventures. Though it was cool to see them share some experiences with Jo, such as her triumph with her news story that turned out not to be 100% accurate. ;)

Nancy's quote in The Little Chill about Jo: "That's the famous Jo we heard about? I was expecting a wild cat." That indicates she never met Jo or knew who she was since others had to tell her about Jo. It is weird since Nancy and Jo shared lines together in a few episodes. In Dear Me, Jo even talks to Nancy about Roger and what they did on the hike the previous year. I feel like the writers forgot the 1st season girls did interact and know Jo to where they could have created moments they shared so it wasn't like people were left out.

I always take Nancy's line as a joke. As in, that's obviously not the way she remembers her. After all, the girls did confirm they remembered Jo.

Why? I thought Best Sister was a good story. It was nice seeing Eve play someone other than Jan Brady too.

It just doesn't seem plausible to me. Some of us have mentioned this in other threads in the past, but in a nutshell, to those of us who are not fans of the episode(s), it seems forced to have Jo suddenly so into religion, for Blair to have a half-sibling where no siblings were ever mentioned before (yes I know it's plausible she has some due to having "three fathers", but it bugs me they never invented any except for this episode), I don't like the violence of the punch, and it really bothers me that Jo doesn't sincerely apologize to Blair.

So, all in all, a real turn-off for me. The only cafeteria era story I absolutely do not like.

The one thing I absolutely love about that two-part episode is seeing Jan Brady as the oldest child!
