This question has probibly been argued about since before I was a Thomas Haden Church fan.
What medium does Thomas Haden Church do better in: TV or movies?
I'd say it depends on what movie he's in. He tends to get casted in some of the strangest, obscurest movies out there. They're usually movies that the general public doesn't want to see. But then again, is Thomas Haden Church really MENT for the general public?
It seems to me that it takes a certain group of people to like Thomas, mostly those of a higher humor intelect.
He just comes off as creepy and akward (yet strangely sexy like Alan Rickman as Professor Snape in the 'Harry Potter' movies) when he's being used in a dramatic role such as those he played in 'Mr. Murder' or 'One Night Stand'.
I've always felt comfortable seeing him in sitcom roles, including guest appearances. You can tell when he's enjoying the character because it's almost as if his actual personality has become a part of the role.
Example: I almost feel that Ned became Thomas and not the vice versa.
