I have to Choose Sanford and Son. I seen Chico and the Man and it doesn't have that same comedy that S&S has. Fred was wild.

Tough choice. As much as I love Sanford and Son, I have to say Chico and the Man. Chico and Ed had great chemistry. Another thing is that I see Sanford and Son a lot and I haven't seen Chico and the Man for a long time. For some reason it is always the show that isn't aired often that I like the more than one that is aired.

Most of you know that "Sanford and Son" and "Chico and the Man" were both based on the British sitcom "Steptoe and Son", right? And you all realize that both shows aired back-to-back on Friday nights back in the seventies? This is the only instance of two shows based on the same source material being broadcast in this manner. (Okay, there is "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley", too, but I digress...)

My favorite? Why, "Sanford and Son", of course. It's comedy is wild and boisterous, just the way I like it! (Not that I didn't like "Chico and the Man"...quite the contrary, Freddie Prinze and Jack Albertson cracked me up, too, but CATM was a gentler program than S&S...and it always seemed to me that "Chico" was a smaller scale "Sanford", anyway...)
