Who do you all think was the funniest character that never appeared??

Iola's Mama or Roselle?

Both had numerous jokes said about them, but neither appeared.

I say Iola's Mama. Those jokes about her were just hilarious. Although, Roselle was funny too.

Mama on Roselle's new bedroom suit:

"I don't care where some blimp docks!!"

Iola:

"It's time for Mother's midafternoon Eskimo Pie."

"Daddy doesn't have the strength to do both sides of her."

"Mother's given up the couch for good. Daddy reinforced the La-Z-Boy with tempered steel. She couldn't be happier."

Definitely Iola's mother!

I would have loved to have seen Iola's brother Vern just to see if Vernette is his "spittin' image"(except for his mustache and his hump):lol:

Iola's Mama she was probably very funny the way Iola said it.

In the 1981 movie "Eunice" they have Mama die & when everyone is at the funeral home Eunice speaks briefly to a couple old ladies and she refers to one of them as "Roselle." Whether its the same Roselle from the TV series, I don't know.
