What ever happened to Jake (Bev's friend) and Joe (Nana Mary's husband)?

Yeah I don't remember Jake being cut much. I guess once Bev became a lesbian he wasn't needed... unless he was cut earlier? And I think Joe was just there for the one episode. I could be wrong.

I liked that Jake character...and of course that storyline gave us the 'Kraftmatic adjustable Bev' line!
