I love the Facts of Life and It's the best show ever! It's soooooo good! But why do we like this show soooooo much?

I think that we like it so much because there is someone for us to all relate to. Like if we are beautiful and rich we'd be like Blair. If you are a tomboy or like motorcycles then you're like Jo. If you're black or feel kind of out of place because your younger, then your Tootie. If you're a bit chubby or really funny then your like Nat. If you're a caring and kind-hearted adult, you're like Mrs. garret.

I agree with callmetootie. Also, the show is really funny with great plots and awesome lines. It has that innocence of the older shows, too, that a lot of shows today don't have.

Well I guess I can't relate to any female aspects but many others. I love the chemistry between the gang. The show usually has a great meaning. It is very clean good for anyone. If that isnt enough it has my 5 favirote actress's ever. Plus the woman of my dreams Kim Fields. Plus about 752 more reasons!

Well it could be because of the characters. I mean all of them are so different but still manage to be friends. I am not a motorcycle lover but i love Jo. And as you can tell by my screen name i love Nancy too!!

The show also has great storylines, plots, and dialogue. Too i think people love the diversity between Jo and Blair.

But that is just my opions.

I think the reasons everyone loves this show are pretty simple. One, there's a character be it Jo,Blair,Natalie, Tootie that everyone can relate to. Two, the plots were realistic and tried to take on a lot of issues that teens face, be it in the 80's or today. Third, the dialauge was great. Fourth, this show was very well acted. Fifth, but not least, this show had a great ensamble cast. That's why FOL is so appealing to everyone.

In a lot of ways, I also think that's why a lot of people on this board also love "The Golden Girls" so much. It has a lot of the same elments that makes FOL so appealing. In fact, if you look at it this way, Golden Girls is what FOL might have been like if Jo, Blair, Natalie, and Tootie were in thier 50's.

Just a thought.
