View Full Version : Who Believes Michael is Innocent?
SBTB Geek 11-21-2003, 12:41 AM I do, especially after FOX News revealed some very interesting information regarding the case.
FOX News stated that the child who brought on the allegations is in fact, the cancer survivor from the ABC/BBC Bashir interview. A few months ago, after the child began to get healthier, Michael stopped supporting the boy and his family entirely. The family did not like this, and contacted the lawyer [plaintiff] from the original 1993 case for some help. Obviously, they went on and pressed charges.
IMO, they are just pressing charges to get back at Michael Jackson, they feel betrayed.
After Michael helped this kid to get rid of his cancer, this is how they pay him back. Remember in the interview they revealed that the child's father was not around, now all of the sudden he is here giving interviews, and playing as the victim. Us Weekly reported that Michael tried to help the family by giving the dad one of his older cars- a Ford Bronco, so the dad can get a job.
Up to now I believe he is innocent.
Mr. Stefani 11-21-2003, 12:43 AM Theres already tons of posts on the subject. You're opinion doesn't deserve its own thread...you're not special.
LILFACE23 11-21-2003, 12:45 AM You should have put a poll on this one.
As for me, I believe he's guilty.
Mr. Television 11-21-2003, 12:49 AM He's probably guilty. If not from this one then others. Hopefully a trial will settle this once and for all.
LILFACE23 11-21-2003, 12:51 AM Unfortunatly I doubt it, not with the defense team he has. We can only hope that justice is served this time around.

In the Current and Music boards everyone is giving their opinions on the issue. I don't see the need for another topic about it. Wouldn't the point of even posting the articles be to discuss it and voice your opinion on it?
fr00ti 11-21-2003, 12:58 AM He's guilty.
Janice 11-21-2003, 01:00 AM Unless I hear some damning evidence, I'm not going to automatically assume he's guilty. It's quite possible he's being sandbagged because he has deep pockets. Time will tell.
Michael is an oddball no doubt, but that doesn't make him a child molester. He's childlike himself because he never had a true childhood.
I'm keeping an open mind as things unfold.

You're right, we should wait for things to unfold. But I think alot of people just have a gut feeling that he's guilty. I know I do. Maybe I'm wrong.
About the money thing, I could've sworn I heard on t.v. recently that he was close to filing bankruptcy. Is that true?

Each board is separate. I moderate only this main section of Chit Chat. I only see a joke thread about Michael Jackson, an announcemnt of Jermaine Jackson on 20/20, and now this.
I don't monitor other boards and don't count their threads in my tally. Current and Music have their own moderators.
If I see multiple similar topics on the main Chit Chat board, I'll merge them.
Otherwise, things are fine the way they are.
Mr. Television 11-21-2003, 01:10 AM Michael Jackson is a tragic figure. I still see him as a member of The Jackson 5 and wonder what happened to him. I don't know if he's guilty or not although I have a hunch he might be. The people around him should have told him years ago to stay away from the children. If he would have done it, this wouldn't be happening.
EricIdlefan 11-21-2003, 01:37 AM Guilty! Guilty! Guilty!
DetectiveGriffin 11-21-2003, 02:09 AM I havent an inclination one way or another, because I'm not in a position to judge anyone. If he did it, I indeed hope he goes down hard for it. I know a lot of people hate MJ because they think he is a freak, but too many in the media are making this the issue. A lot of people are acting like, "I hope he did it because I really hate his guts anyway." It's really embarassing that the media is so immature.
It's always been obvious this is a person with a lot of emotional issues; that doesnt excuse any wrong doings, but everyone's always saying how America is the most kick hiney country in the whole wide world. It doesnt seem that way when they can plaster you all over the tv and ridecule you without proof.
Of course the authorities have what they deem to be proof, you know - but the media doesnt know jack. They "guessed" the charge before it was confirmed, now their guessing the age, relationship, and even gender of the child. Ive tried not to pay much attention to the goings on, but in the early hours of this, the media was spouting off some of the most off that wall crap that it wasnt even funny.
Whats even worse is that we all may have to hear about this non-stop for the next 2 friggin years!!!!!!
Jrnygrl 11-21-2003, 02:10 AM Wait a minute the last time I looked I was living in America. Isn't it innocent until proven guilty???? Stop letting the media tell you how to think!
I have a friend who is currently being accused of something he did not do, nothing like the MJ case, but he has been framed because he blew the whistle on some illegal stealing of funds, and now he is fighting for his life and the whole incident has ruined his family life.
So I say wait until the evidence is all on the table.

Totally. In my mind, he definitely did it. Multiple times, to multiple children. But that aside, the man deserves a fair trial before he's put in prison.
I also think he's genuinely mentally ill. While in prison, he should get the treatment he sorely needs.

hawaii five-o 11-21-2003, 06:53 PM The guy has a huge bedroom suite. His bed is big enough for himself and several children. The adjoining room is a bedroom full of everything a child dreams of: toys, stuffed animals, video games. There are several locks on the door and it is protected by an elaborate security system. Sounds like a foolproof child trap for a very rich and a very sick man.
webuster 11-21-2003, 07:36 PM I'm not sure why but I think he's innocent.

SBTB Geek 11-21-2003, 08:55 PM Associated Press reported today, that the the Father of the child who is accusing Michael denies the charges against Michael. He believes the mom brainwashed the alleged victim to get money.
MandieR1980 11-21-2003, 09:00 PM Well I heard the boys father is an abuser himself so you know what they say "a birds of a feather flock together"
°Bubbly Blonde° 11-21-2003, 09:07 PM I think he's innocent, they're just using him for money, they just want to see him in jail...it sort of seems like a set up and they even found tapes of the boy and his mother saying on TAPE that Michael doesnt do anything wrong. The mother is stupid for letting her boy sleep over michael's in the first place, and the boy in stupid for sleeping with him night after night and not say anything, imo.
EricIdlefan 11-22-2003, 10:17 AM I believe other children and their parents will come forward since he seems he won't get away with this like he did in 1993!!
The Modfather 11-22-2003, 10:19 AM I don't think he's innocent at all. He did it. He's wacko, should be locked away forever.
M82A1 11-22-2003, 11:02 AM I believe in the Right to a fair trial, but I personally think he's guilty (unless I see some damn good evidence to the contrary)!

shel 7296 11-22-2003, 03:07 PM This is the second time he has been accused last time he paid his accuser off. If you are innocent you would not pay the person who accused you you would fight for your innocence. The same thing will probably happen this time too.

:yeahthat Exactly!!! You do not pay your accuser if you're innocent!!! Obviously he had something to worry about.
DianeChambers87 11-22-2003, 03:42 PM I honestly don't know. I was thinking what if this is just the media working against him? Because of his physical appearance and status. Controversy sells, and I can't help but think "what if this man goes to jail, and hasn't done a single thing." I can guarantee you one thing though "The Micheal Jackson Story" will be a movie some time in the future.
However, he could very well be guilty and deserve to rot in jail for what he did...I don't know.

Okay so...yea he does have a plastic surgery problem and he likes to be around kids because he missed his entire childhood because his abusive father wouldn't let him have one and use to beat him if he wasnt practicing 24/7, but I dont think that's a crime, and that's not enoug evidence to convict anyone on...that's all Im saying, and Im not saying that because Im a huge Michael Jackson fan either, because Im not. It just seems like for a parent to leave their child over a strange man's house and know that they're sleeping in the same room, is really ****ed up, i think she was planning on saying that Michael was molesting her son and it was a set-up or soemthing...I dont know he could be guilty, but he's innocent until he's proven that way, and no one's proven anything except that he looks and acts weird.
Janice Johnson 11-24-2003, 11:11 AM I wonder what she feels for him. They are (seem)the closest brother and sister of the group. I wonder if she feels sorry or bad for him. Do you think she's sympathetic or cold-hearted to him?
passionsfan79 11-24-2003, 08:41 PM who beleives i dont care
AllIWantIsYourClutch 11-24-2003, 08:45 PM I feel so bad for him! Everyone's attacking him and no one knows the whole story. I don't think it's fair to him to be making all these judgements when you don't even know if he did it or not. Even all these famous people on TV are insulting him and stuff and he doesn't deserve it. Poor guy...
MandieR1980 11-24-2003, 10:08 PM MJ's fans are in as much denial as he is. Must be fun in lala land

I agree with that. However, on Court T.V. they talked about that case and that question was asked. Their answer was exactly this...
The reason they excepted the money was because the boy and his family were being threatened. They mentioned there was a dead rat found in their mailbox, the little boy and a babysitter were taking a walk down the street, actually the little boy was riding his bike, and a black S.U.V. came nearly running them off the sidewalk, the babysitter had to grab the little boy from his bike because of how close the truck came, and there was threatening phone calls and letters sent to their house and the fathers office at work. Their attorneys told them to try as hard as they could to ignore everything because they were being "scared out of court" so to speak, but the father couldn't take it for fear of his family's lives. That is when they decided to take the settlement. They went on to say that all of the threats had subsided after the settlement was brought forth. When they said that, both the announcer and prosecuting attorney stated, "of course they did", with a chuckle.
Which leaves me to believe what i have all along. He bought them off because he knew he had been caught. You do not pay someone off when you're innocent, that's just like saying "I'm guilty, but here, will this make up for it"? I mean, come on, would you give your money away if you knew you didn't do anything wrong? That's ridiculous.
In case you're wondering... The case is usually on at some point everyday on Court T.V.
LILFACE23 11-25-2003, 11:55 AM They just had the case on again Court T.V. last night and mentioned they convinscated love letters Micheal had written to the kid and photos he had taken off him. They didnt' say what was in the photos though.
Can you imagine what's gonna happen to him if he goes to jail.

Van_Smack 11-25-2003, 05:25 PM When I saw that story about the secret passage down to that room (on Fox News I think) its hard to believe that he didn't do anything. I also heard he has been writing letters to the kid also. all sounds pretty fishy to me.

I agree. Either way, there is way too much against him now to make a come back in my opinion. If he gets away with it this time, I'm sure he's gonna have alot of people against him when he goes anywhere. Hopefully this family won't give into the threats the last family had to endure.
