Kay E. Kuter, passed away on November 12 at age 78. He is best remembered for his role as farmer 'Newt Kiley' on the classic television shows, "Petticoat Junction" from 1965 to 1970, and "Green Acres" from 1964 to 1970. A native of Los Angeles, California, he was born on April 25, 1925, and later graduated from Van Nuys High School in Van Nuys, California. His films include, "Sabrina" (1954), "Desiree" (1954), "Guys And Dolls" (1955), "The Big Night" (1960), "A Time For Killing" (1967), "Watermelon Man" (1970), "An Enemy Of People" (1978), "The Tempest" (1983), "The Taming Of The Shrew" (1983), "The Last Starfighter" (1984), "Zombie High" (1987), "Warlock" (199), "The Seventh Coin" (1993), "The Hollywood Sign" (2001), and "Forbidden Warrior" (2003), among many others. He also made numerous television guest appearances in such shows as, "ER," "Charmed," "The X-Files," "Matlock," "Seinfeld," "The Rifleman," "Bonanza," "Zorro," "Medic," Sabrina: The Teenage Witch," "Baywatch Nights," "Baywatch," "Brimstone," "Navy Log," "The Jack Benny Program," "Mister Ed," "I Dream Of Genie," "Beyond Belief: Fact Or Fiction," and "Gunsmoke." Also a talented stage actor he appeared in several stage productions, did voice work in animated film features, and was in countless television commercials. For the last 14 years of his life, he was the actor that did the voiceovers in the Hershey's kisses commercials.
