Frasier W. Crane

I would just like some ideas from everyone here.
IF there was a 12th season of "Frasier"...
--Would the ratings improve, decrease or stay the same from this year?
--Would it stay on the same night or fill the "Friends" spot?
--Would there be enough storylines to keep going? (I.E. Niles & Daphne's baby?) What other stories could there be?
--Would the whole cast return? What about former "Cheers" members?
--What would the finale be like?
--How will the show go out?
--Would YOU watch??
Thanks!

The way Frasier has been this season, I wouldn't mind seeing a 12th season.

Although I like Cheers more.... Frasier deserves to "win"
It's being overshadowed by Friends.... and it shouldnt be.
Frasier is by far the better show.
I would love to see a 12th season.... but only if everyone stayed on.
And I think that another visit from a friend at Cheers should be included.
Maybe Robin Colcord?? Comes to seek his childhood friend Daphne, and runs into Frasier.... the possibilties....
I think the series should end with everyone saying goodbye.... the screen goes black.... and the little tune played at the end of Cheers should play.

I would love to see another season, but I just don't know if the ratings would hold up. It would be horrible to see a great show plummet to the bottom of the ratings.

Frasier won its time slot Tuesday night. It was the top half hour show for the whole night and the second top show for the entire evening once the fast nationals and the overnights were calculated. Still a 12th season isn't going to happen so this exercise is highly imaginary. :-))

I would *love* to see more Frasier. But have you read David Lee's posts? Of course, there *might* be a miniscule chance of a complete turn around by NBC (and they would commit to supporting the show), but I am just saying that I doubt we will see a Season 12 realistically - not if the current climate prevails at NBC and the factors that have produced this environment remain the same. But since the current government pushed and got the change in the legislation that regulates ownership of T.V. programmes by networks (making it allowable for networks to own shows) NBC can make a *lot* more profit from shows like Will and Grace and so have decided to cast their lot behind shows that they own (since the legislation passed the trend has been growing in leaps and bounds for networks to dump their old "pre-ownership" shows and go with the shows that, even if they are less successful, bring in more dollars - so that now, most shows on the air are owned by their networks). Frasier just isn't a good enough of an investment for them and profits are what it is all about. So that pretty well sealed the show's fate.

I would much rather see Frasier step down gracefully than plummeting. It has been a true classic, and has its long-time fans. "Friends" is popular culture, it's not really about quality over there, and it will be viewed *I Think* as Three's Company is viewed today (However Three's Company has ALOT more quality to it than friends). Frasier goes down the line with the true Classics like: I love Lucy, Taxi, The Dick Van Dyke show, The Mary tyler moore show, The Honeymooners, All in the Family, and Cheers. At least that's my opinion.

That's how I feel. And, like I said in another thread, twelve years have a sense of completeness to them that eleven years lack. Go for the full dozen, Kelsey - then you can point to "Cheers" and say, "Ha ha - I won!" :)

After tonight's episode (February 3), maybe it's best that "Frasier" ends with this season.
