Are there any songs that you love, but the video kinda made you go "eh"?

For me, some songs are soooo great, and then the video comes. Sometimes when its really bad, it kinda takes a certain magic away from the song.

One that sticks out in my head right now is

Christina Aguilera- The Voice Within

Awesome song... Love it, one of my fave songs of hers, but the video... its a bit upsetting, boring, and... i'd rather listen than look. She also throws her hand out in a certain kinda way throughout the song.

I agree with you. I was expecting a much better video for that song. And her hand is extremely annoying.

I like that song, the lyrics are great. I`m a big fan of Madonna and I thought she`d come up with something more eccentric for "AMERICAN lIFE." Another ex of good song, bad vid.

And her hand is extremely annoying. i know. she does it a bagillion times during the video.

Some other good song, bad videos are --

Clay Aiken- Invisible
Kelly Clarkson- Miss Independent
Backstreet Boys- The One (horrible video)
Destiny's Child- Emotion (i just didnt like it)
Christina Aguilera- Cant Hold Us Down (that video is extra disturbing to me. but, i dont think she shoulda released that song. there are so many great songs on Stripped, and she just had to release this one)

In all honesty, all of Christna's songs are better than her videos. I guess her promotion group has never been creative. But, "Can't Hold Us Down," wasn't that bad.

GOOD SONG, BAD VIDEO

1. Christina Aguilera | "The Voice Within"- Since it will most likely be her last single from Stripped, she should of left with a more powerful video. The video is too plain, but atleast it doesn't overshadow her voice.

2. Christina Aguilera | "Beautiful"- I've always believed this video is a rip-off of TLC's "Unpretty."

3. Mariah Carey | "Butterfly- Ugh!, this video is just awful, but the song is very good.

4. Blink-182 | "Adam's Song"- The video wasn't bad, but it just wasn't good enough for the song. The vid did not get the message that the song was trying to get across, IMO, Good Charlotte [unfortunately] did a better job with, "Hold On."

5. Madonna | "American Life"- She should of been gutsy, and kept her original version. The version she released was very bland and un-entertaining. What's the big deal of her singing with flags from other countries in the background?

I agree that Christina's "The Voice Within" is a horrible video. I love the song, but the video stinks. I kept waiting for her to trip when she was walking around.

I love that video. I thought staying simple was good for that song. I thought it was pretty. I loved the symbolism of the horse.

Kelly Clarkson - Miss Independent

Only one I can think of now. Basically, any video where the artist is singing in front of a crowd bores me. (Clay Aiken - Invisible, for ex... but he looks hot :o )

The video did not make sense! I mean, she's talking about how this girl was independent, not looking for love, and there she is...looking for love.

I agree with everyone in saying that "The Voice Within" was bad. The song is wonderful, but the video...not so much.

And none of Britney's videos make sense. Her dancing around, almost naked with a bunch of other almost naked people is her concept for every video.

Actually, I think Britney is one of the better video-makers. A lot of her videos actually fit the title. "Me Against The Music" is about dancing and music and stuff. The "Overprotected" video fit the song.

But...for "Me Against the Music," where did she sing about chasing around a girl? "Lucky" fit, too...but what about "Baby, One More Time"? Some of them are good...but some don't. I shouldnt have said none.
